Big thanks to Ryan and the team at Lumina Solar for their work on our home! They carefully walked us through every step of the process from when we were just considering solar panels to getting them energized and producing power. Lumina handled all of the permitting and paperwork from start to finish, including the rebates, making it a very hassle free experience. Quick and thorough responses to all of our (many) questions. They made sure we were getting the right amount of production based on our desires to maximize our investment, which was very important to us. We would highly recommend Lumina Solar!

Professional every step of the way from their initial in-home meeting to the follow-up package proposal explaining in detail what the cost breakdown would look like and the coverages associated with the product, to the paperwork, to the workers installing the panels. This compared to hearing a sales pitch from Trinity Solar with NO package proposal document sent to us after multiple times asking for follow-up information and hearing about how outdated their product was compared to Lumina. Happy on the choice we made and happy to have had the opportunity to work with Zac!

Lumina installed a very large solar system and 4 Tesla Powerwalls for me. Ryan Farrell and his team kept me up to date every stage of a very long and complex design and permitting process. We had signed our contract late in the year with hoping to get it finished before year end. Lumina worked hard when our permits where approved to keep us on schedule despite generally uncooperative weather including coming out to finish things up Christmas Eve. They have continued to go above and beyond making sure all the monitoring utilities are working correctly post completion. Very pleased with Lumina and would recommend it without reservation.

We got solar panels in June 2019 and are very happy about it. Zac Hare and the team at Lumina Solar have been wonderful and guided us patiently and expertly through the decision process and installations. Choosing felt daunting: do we rent, do we buy, which kind of panels and who would install them? Zach explaining the nuts and bolts and pros of cons of the different options gave us the confidence to move forward. Installation was smooth, approval to go online followed quickly and from then on the electricity meter started to run backwards. The team at Lumina Solar took care of submitting all the paperwork for the state and federal tax incentives and the SREC (renewable energy credits). We already got our first payments back from that state and the first payout for our SRECs. For the past 6 months we covered all our electricity needs from our roof and our utility bill is down to a few dollars a month for the connection charges. Zach has stayed in touch, monitors production figures, and has been quick to respond to any questions. Happy we took the plunge to go solar and highly recommend Lumina Solar!

I selected Lumina from a long list of both local and national solar companies based on great reviews, great presentation and a great deal. From the beginning, working with Colin was very easy and it was clear he knew the technical details I sought. He was responsive to any and all questions at any time and his team was professional and respectful of our new yard during the installation process. Every detail was taken care of from paperwork to drywall repairs. I have already referred several neighbors and family members to Lumina.

Lumina Solar installed a seventy (70) panel solar system on my house. From the initial contact through the final hook-up and beyond, their service and professionalism was of the highest level. Perhaps the best contractor I had the pleasure of working with! My point of contact at Lumina Solar was Zachary Hare. Zac provided a detailed quote, and answered all of my questions very clearly. He presented several customized proposals with different options. He is very easy to work with and did not use â hard sellâ tactics at all. He went out of his way to make sure that I got the best price while still maximizing the system wattage. He is very communicative; calls and/or e-mails were promptly answered. He sent regular updates on progress of various aspects of the project. Lumina Solar quality of the work is outstanding also; down to the level of aesthetic placement of wiring inside the attic. All work was performed as scheduled without delays. Their workers were on time, courteous, trustworthy and left the house clean and tidy once they had finished. Following the installation, Lumina Solar also helped me with the paperwork for MD grant and SREC setup. My system is online and live now. I am very happy with the output so far! I would most definitely recommend Lumina Solar to anyone who is considering installation of solar panels.

The entire crew of Lumina Solar were all very efficient and knowledgeable

After a 6-month long search and review process I settled on Lumina as my solar panel installation company. I have a pretty complicated hip roof and the Lumina team skillfully negotiated a few challenges and produced an esthetically pleasing 44-panel array on my roof. Zac was my initial salesman and point person who educated me quite a bit about the nuances of the solar conversion process. Zac was always available for my questions and he proactively kept me up-to-date and was always in touch even during my 6-month review period. Santos, Josh and Kyle (the tech that did a lot of the tortuous work in my hot attic space) were the primary folks conducting the installation and I was very pleased with their professionalism and knowledge of their craft. The installation part took 1.5 days at the beginning of October 2019 and my PEPCO bill was dramatically reduced for the October 2019 billing cycle and for my November 2019 billing cycle, my system produced an excess amount of energy and my bill was only $8.95 for PEPCO administrative fees. My PEPCO bill can be as high as $500 in the summer and averages about $290 per month when I add in the low bills over the winter. Thanks to the Lumina team I can look forward to helping the planet and my bank account!!!

Lumina was very communicative throughout the entire process from the in house home analysis to the install and even afterwards. From the very start they were very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in detail and answered all my questions. I had multiple quotes for a solar system and Lumina matched another companies quote. Lumina installed ~11kw system on my current house and if I'm not using my HVAC I am net negative over a month. I am very pleased with the install and the power output of the system. I was even able to have other electrical work done with the panels at cost which was very convenient. This is my second solar system install an while my first install was fine working with Lumina was much more informative and they were on top of everything from the very beginning. I highly recommend working with Lumnia.

Everyone, from my first contact with the company until the inspections were completed, was incredibly helpful. They were more than happy to work through a number of different options, figure out a very complicated electrical and roof system, and quickly come up with a solution when it turned out part of my roof couldn't hold panels. Everyone came on time when they were supposed to, answered all my questions no matter how ignorant they sounded, and most importantly, were very friendly and pleasant, in addition to doing top quality work. All told, installation took less than a day, soup to nuts. This company is clearly customer focused, values its clientele and being as thorough and professional as possible.

Beginning with Zachary Hare, the company rep, the entire company has been professional, conscientious and thorough. The decision-making, installation and performance process experiences have all been excellent - most unusual. Zac's presentation was much more clear that others and he was able to provide details and back-up for all points made and questioned.

I feel like we truly don't have enough good things to say about the experience of discussing solar panels and choosing to go with Lumina. Everyone we talked to was eager to help, there was absolutely no lack of/delay of communication, and expectations were more than met. We're very happy we selected them, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Ryan met with us after another company giving us an offer and 30 days to find a better deal, but also giving us a uneasy feeling about dealing with this other company. The experience was different from the start with Ryan. No hard sales pitch; Answered all questions without giving off a sense we were wasting his time, or asking silly questions. And they undercut our other offer by a noticeable amount. The experience didn't change throughout install. All questions were answered, and issues addressed throughout. Install date came before we knew it and was knocked out in 2 days for a 57 panel install. The process to get approved by our electricity supply company was also super quick. Less than 2 weeks until our meter was switched out and we were generating clean energy and offsetting a significant portion of our usage ($270 bill down to $33 coming into Fall, which would have been more substantial had we started the process earlier in the year to make use of more of summer - read towards start of spring) which was significantly shorter than friends who have also got solar. Would highly recommend Ryan and the Lumina team.

Lumina Solar recently completed installation of their solar system on my home in Perry Hall. I had quotes from several other installers when I met Ryan Farrell of Lumina. From the start, Ryan was a different kind of salesman. He took the time to educate us about the benefits of solar without any pressure. He explained the differences between the different types of inverters and why he was proposing a Solar Edge system with optimizers for my location. When he showed our house, complete with surrounding trees, on his PC program simulating daily and annual power generation I was duly impressed. He then showed us an Excel spreadsheet showing the expected annual power generation based on our locale, our electricity needs and our expected savings over the lifetime of the system. We then negotiated a price which was in line with one of the best quotes I had received. In addition, Ryan provided us a very favorable financing option. As my roof was over 20 years old, I asked Ryan for a recommended roof installer, and he recommended Fichtner Services. Fichtner's quote was in line with my two other quotes. They did an excellent, on-time job, and their personnel were helpful and professional. Throughout the process Lumina Solar kept me informed of the status of the approval process with BGE and Baltimore County inspection. Shortly after BGE approved the interconnection Lumina contacted me to schedule the installation. The Lumina crew arrived on the promised day and completed the installation in short order. Ryan of Fusion Solar and his crew did a great job. I was especially impressed with the neat routing and installation of the electrical system. There was minimal disruption to my house power as they connected the system to my electrical panel. After the installation, Lumina Solar contacted Baltimore County to perform the final inspection and BGE to approve the installation and install the Net Meter. Just two weeks after the installation my solar system is online, and I am generating power. The SolarEdge app enables me to see power generation throughout the day. This entire process could not have gone any better. Lumina Solar took care of everything. Everyone with whom I had the pleasure of dealing with was completely professional and on time. In short, I highly recommend Lumina Solar to anyone who is considering solar panels.

I shopped around for solar systems for a while and decided on going with this company partially because they offered a very competitive rate. I was pleasantly impressed by how well they handled the installation process. I asked a lot of questions and their knowledge base is second to none. They were very responsive. They made the credentialing and installation very easy and did the leg work themselves. it was a pleasure to work with them and I would recommend them without reservation.

I have already, and would again, recommend Lumina to anyone. My experience with Lumina was excellent throughout the project, including the initial Q&A as I educated myself on my solar opportunity. I am very busy and Colin was very helpful to communicate via whichever form was best for me, including email which some others were not willing to do. After considering a few offers, the combination of price, product, and finance options made Lumina a no-brainer for me. After the site survey, Lumina and Colin worked with me to further maximize my roof space and improve my expected production. I greatly appreciate this because it required the team to work outside of their standard processes to ensure my installation was optimized for my roof and preferences. During the installation, I could not have been more impressed with the install team. Steve, Santos and their support team were outstanding from the moment they arrived early to the smooth wrap up and system overview. Their expertise was never more evident than when we identified a small hiccup in that the updated panel layout had not been sent with them that morning. Their willingness to dig into the situation and adapt to resolve the discrepency was fantastic - even with the very short delay to update things, the install completed earlier than expected. Post-installation, the Lumina team continues to stay in touch as we monitor that the system is performing as expected. Once again, I recommend Lumina to anyone!

Lumina Solar provided a one stop shop for us to go solar. They surveyed our property, designed the solution, dealt with the permit applications, installed the system, coordinated the inspections.
