Excellent!

I researched 5 or 6 different companies and they came up with the best deal. They did a real good job. They were quick, cheap and thorough. It wasn?t the prettiest looking job but it was effective. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

Dunlap inspected the roof and provided two estimates for two different types of repair jobs. When I described structural damage I thought they should see, they came out again to look at it and provided a third, revised estimate. Dunlap was very prompt and punctual with appointments and estimates. Chico came to look at the interior damage and was very careful and thorough in evaluating it and deciding what needed to be done. Although I ended up going with a different company for various reasons, Dunlap was a very close second.

I called at 9am Monday morning with a leaky roof, and there was someone at my house for an estimate before noon. The estimator called me at work and gave me a detailed explanation of the problems he found (open hole in roof, as well as several other minor issues like a loose slate). He also spent time explaining how it would be fixed (patch/coat entire roof with hot steep asphalt). I was emailed an estimate the same day. When I asked about installing a rubber roof instead, I received a new estimate almost immediately. I was very impressed with the customer service, and the prices were right in line with other estimates I received. Although I didn't end up hiring this company, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We tend to contact Chico. He always arrives when he says that he will to give an estimate. Shortly after we get a faxed estimate/contract from Dunlap. Each and every time that we engaged the company, they came out as planned and completed the work satisfactorily. I have no complaints at all. This is one of only 2 contractors from my entire renovation that I would recommend to another person.

Initial call was returned in a timely matter - the estimator arrived in a very timely manner, was very professional and even showed me samples of the types of roofs. - I also placed calls to other roofers on the "top five" of Angie s but they mostly did not return my phone calls or estimates were way high. Once I put down the initial deposit, (at 10pm) workers show up the next morning and by noon the next day the whole project was done! Clean - although some tar is still on the outside of my skylight - the whole outside was as if nothing happened. I even got a chance to climb the ladder and see it for myself. Just one thing - make sure what price you're agreeing upon - all coupons and discounts - I had a little problem with that at the final payment but after all resolved to my satisfaction.

The work went smoothly without any hitches. I contacted the company and they responded with an estimate within a week. After deciding which option to pursue the actually work was done in a very professional and timely fashion.

They inspected around the chimney and reported back to me that I only really needed the chimney cap replaced and they could repair the leak around the base by patching it rather than replacing the whole chimney. A few other companies said I may need to have the whole chimney replaced, so they saved me quite a bit of money. I appreciated the honesty and they were prompt in getting the work done as well as for the initial estimate. The price was also fair, it was in line with other quotes for chimney cap replacement.

I called Dunlap soon after I had a major leak. Dunlap wanted to stop by to assess the job a few days later, but agreed to stop by on the morning of Thanksgiving once I explained my turnaround time. We negotiated and settled on a price that was at or below the other quotes I received. His crew came out two to three days later and did a great job. There was an area of the roof I thought needed additional attention and Dunlap sent his crew back out to address my concerns. I would recommend him. He seems eager to please, which I appreciated.

Dunlap was called to do a quick repair. They responded quickly and performed the job a few days later.

After receiving the estimate we had planned to put off having the work done because the existing roof seemed OK. Then our (old) roof leaked and I made a panicked phone call to the roofer. They were able to start work the next work day and had the new roof installed by the end of that day. The roofers did an excellent job and made sure that the source of the leak we had was taken care of.
