It went fine and fairly quickly. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was simple enough. I think the price was a little high for what was actually performed.

I always thought of preventive maintenance for my drains, but didn't think there was any company that provided this service. After reading the reviews of Drain Sights, I called Mike. Mike explained, over the phone what work he would do to clean out my main to the county line. I set up an appointment to have this work done. Mike and Jason arrived and did an excellent job! It so happened, I had a small clog in my drain. Mike corrected this small clog before it became a major headache of a clogged drain. Both Mike and Jason were very responsible and professional. They explained every step of their procedure. They both treated my home with care. I received an excellent job for the price I paid. Thank you Mike and Jason. I will refer Drain Sights to my friends and family. If I have any drain problems, you will be my 1st call.

We had been having continuous flooding issues in our back basement that we wanted to find out the problem and get it fixed because it was becoming more of a headache. Once I purchased the deal on Angie's List, Mike the Owner, contacted me the same day without me having to reach out at all. An appointment was setup a couple days later for them to come and inspect the drain and the problem area. They showed up early and took a look at the situation, listened to our grief which was appreciated. It was revealed we needed to get a sump pump installed in that back drain since the pipes were old and had started to break and deteriorate. The gave us a reasonable price and we setup an appointment for them to come back and take care of it all. They got the job done in 4 hours and explained everything that was done and cleaned up the back before leaving. They even took the dirt from where they dug up and filled in some holes we had in our backyard because of our dogs digging. Much appreciated and I would use them again as long as it has nothing to do with that back drain and flooding.

It went well and I am satisfied with what was done. It provided me the information that I needed by showing some root blockage, but also showing that it was in the portion of the line that is the responsibility of the county so that if there is a problem, they will be the ones that need to deal with it. Drain Sights also told me what I could do easily myself to try to get rid of the roots with Root-X and told me that the blockage was not yet bad enough to justify any clearing by them. All in all, I got just what I wanted with no effort on their part to sell me any further service that I did not need.

I was extremely happy with the service provided by Mike, the owner, and his colleague. Apart from the quality of the work itself, I was very impressed with their integrity and emphasis on customer service. They initially came out in response to an Angie's list "big deal" I'd signed up for, but they determined that the work it was for would not have been of any value to me or helped my situation. Mike told me as much and offered to either refund the "big deal" money or put it towards any work I might need. It was clear that the sewage effluent pump was not working, but rather than just quote me pricing to replace it Mike and his colleague proceeded to help me check my breakers, septic alarm, and several other potential diagnostic steps to confirm that I really did need the pump replaced (including bypassing the septic outlet and breakers altogether with an extension cord!). I was already set on replacing the pump, and had their tests confirmed that it was actually an electric problem then they would not have made any money off the time they'd invested with me, but they still insisted upon ruling out the possibility that their services weren't actually needed before proceeding. Following this, they came out the next day with the required tools and removed the existing "dead" pump and then used one of their own to pump out all of the excess to my drain field so that it would stop overflowing. They then proceeded to leave their pump in my tank for the several days it took to get the replacement pump in, so that it wouldn't overflow in the interim. I should note that they didn't charge me for this loaner, and they left the pump there for those few days without even having taken my credit card in advance! They picked up the new pump and installed it a couple days later, deducting the amount of my "big deal" coupon from the bill, but even including that amount the total bill for services provided was roughly 70% of that which was quoted by a competitor (and that wouldn't have included any of the extra touches that so impressed me).

I learned of this vendor via an Angie's List Big Deal. Although I'd have no issues, my home is more than 30 years old -- this seemed like good "preventive" action. The check didn't take long (less than 30 minutes) and I received a clean bill of health. My only issue was punctuality. Although my original appointment was for Saturday 3/2, no one arrived nor did I receive an explanatory call. When I rebooked for a weekday, the manager worked with me to get an acceptable slot (I was working from home and was unavailable during a particular period). Should I have problems in future, I would consider using this provider.

Our septic system backed up and we had several companies out to check our system. We were told we needed new drain fields because the distribution box was filled with sludge and nothing was draining. We did a Google search and contacted several companies to ask for opinions. Drain Sights called within one minute of submitting our request. They came out the next day on time, and used their hydro-blast and unclogged our drain fields! So, rather than spend $5,000+ for new drain fields, which apparently we do not need at this time, we spent $250 and our fields are unclogged and flowing perfectly. Thank you Drain Sights! We will use this company again and recommend Mike Ragland highly!
