That is the question that many of our clients, both residential and commercial, often ask. How do you make this decision? For most clients, cost is definitely a factor. However, quality, design, fit as well as sentimental value should all be considered as well. When comparing the value of reupholstering to buying new, keep in mind that reupholstering offers you the same quality for a comparable or lower cost than buying new . Today’s market is flooded with disposable furniture.. .furniture that is made to look good but physically lasts only a few years only to be thrown away. A well-made piece should, with normal wear and tear, last you 10 to 20 years with minimal care, either in the commercial or residential furniture market. As the home of Maryland’s finest time-tested craftsmen, we are carefully attending to each and every piece that is entrusted to our care. Each piece that enters of our shop, no matter what its condition, is stripped down to its frame. At this time, all necessary frame repairs are made, the springs are 8-way hand-tied, and all cotton and foam are replaced. Upholstering is an art, and we take great pride in our work. For our commercial customer, with proper set-up, we can often provide same day or next-day service. This offers you as little down time as possible to your business. No empty tables while chairs and booths get a face-lift. You can have your office chair reupholstered while you are on vacation. We can even pick up your lobby furniture while your lobby is painted, giving you a fresh new look to some worn or dated pieces. Call us for an on-site consultation! Description of Work: I had a very well used and worn out chair and ottoman reupholstered by Bob Baxter and team and I am in love with my new (old) chair. It looks and feels wonderful, and now has a whole new life! Truly they are masters at their craft and worth every penny I spent. Very high quality.

Description of Work: Clifton Upholstering has reupholstered several pieces of furniture for me over the past several months. There is a reason that this family-owned business has existed for 100 years. Bob Baxter and his team are phenomenal! Bob considers customer service to be one of the most critical aspects of success and this is evident in everything that he does. This has obviously been a tenet throughout the company's history. His upholstery knowledge and expertise is impressive; his team's finished work is superb and the prices are reasonable. Also - Bob picks up your furniture AND drops off the refinished product! I think Clifton Upholstery is the greatest and I will continue to use this company in the future.
