The installers replaced a thermal pane picture window, approximately 6 x 4 feet. The delivery/installers were very professional and polite. In fact, after they cleaned the picture window they were even kind enough to leave me a 1/4 can full of cleaner. I would highly recommend Caplan Bros.

They arrived to my house, a little late due to the rain that morning, and replaced the glass in the window and storm window. They alerted me to the instability of the window and the need for replacement. They worked quickly and very professionally.

Caplan Glass performed an outstanding job on my glass replacement. They were very professional, extremely nice, and courteous. I was so impressed with the gentlemen who performed the service, as well as the gentleman who first came out and gave me an estimate. I would highly recommend them for any glass work that you may need. Again, OUTSTANDING!!

The estimator and repair men were extremely professional and punctual. Communication was great and they called when they were on their way for each appointment. Both were extremely knowledgeable and experienced and honest in their assessments. Dealing with the front office was also pleasant. Worked with me to setup an estimate appointment for 2 locations next to one another. Once the estimate appointment was done, I was sent the estimate via email and then all I had to do was sign it and fax it in then call in my credit card info to provide the 50% deposit. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and true to their word it took 10 Days to manufacture my order and have it ready to be installed where they called me to setup the service appointment. This company has been a breeze to work with and they have been around for a long time and it shows why. I will definitely work with them again for whatever my glass needs are.

Everything went as excepted.

We had a bird strike that shattered a small quarter round accent window above a larger window in the back of the house. We called Caplan bros and asked for an estimate. A nice gentleman arrived later the same day and took measurements. I received a call next day with an estimate. I agreed to the price and the submitted the order with anderson windows. About a month later, I got the call our window was at the shop. Two guys came out later that day and installed it perfectly in under an hour. No mess and very professional. My only after thought is I should have gotten at least one more estimate to be sure price was In line. But, I cannot say enough about the service. Would definitely call again.

I needed the glass in a large picture window replaced because it was completely foggy between the two panes of glass. The picture window is flanked by two smaller windows on each side. I had Caplan Glass come out and give me an estimate. The were professional in their dealings with me and I take no issue with any of that but the quoted price was just too high. They quoted $1199 for replacement of the glass in just the large window but I had all three windows replaced completely (which I'm glad I did) for $1500 - only $300 more. Overall, they were professional but just too expensive for me.

Did a good job, no complaints.

They were excellent. Showed up on time or early for all appointments. The only hitch was that a mistake in the first order reversed the dimensions. They corrected the mistake and ddi the install a few days later. No problems since.

It went pretty well. They seemed to be inordinately busy, so I waited a week for them to come out for my initial estimate. Then, it took another two weeks to either order the glass or to find another slot on the schedule. But they arrived right on time and the work was done competently, so I'm glad I had the patience to wait for them to do the work.

We provided measurements for Caplan to create a safety glass for the opening in our shower (it's a window). The glass was thick, beautiful and fit the space perfectly. My only comments is that it took a little longer than I expect 14 - 18 days and I believe they didn't actually make it themselves - they sent the request out to another vendor which is why it took so long. I belive I could have paid less if I had found a company that makes the glass themselves.

I needed glass replaced in an aluminum store window. They said they would do it and gave me the price. I said OK and left the window with then for repair. Since it was Thursday. and they are closed on the weekend, I couldn't get my window back until Monday. It was a cold weekend, my windows are old, so I really missed my storm window. On Monday I called at 4:20 or so to get my window only to find out that their closing time was 4:30. (Clearly marked..I just hadn't read the sign). I told them my circumstances and asked them PLEASE wait for me. I drove (too fast) across the city and arrived at 4:50 or so. They had waited for me and my window was perfect. I'm very glad they waited. They didn't like it (which was understandable) but they were not unpleasant about it.. They waited for me. That's good service.

Never returned my phone calls after trying several times.

I had a good experience with them. They did a good job and did it quickly. They were every professional and I did not have any problem with them. I can?t speak about windows replacement but they did repairs. They were pretty good. I think they were reasonable as well.

Caplan glass came for the estimate right on schedule. They don't provide an estimate at the time; rather, I had to call back the next business day. That was a bit frustrating, just because all the other companies that provided estimates gave it to me at the visit, and because I received my estimates on a Friday, I had to wait until the following Monday to receive Caplan's estimate and make my final decision. However, they were by far the cheapest. I gave a 35% deposit over the phone and was told they'd be in touch. I received a letter in the mail stating that my glass was in (seemed odd; perhaps would have been quicker if they called me). I called and made an installation appointment. It was actually raining the day of installation, but Caplan came anyway, right on time, and completed the job within an hour. They cleaned up and everything seemed fine.

Ultimately it was fine, but they made a mistake with the original measurement, so the first time they came to do the job they had the wrong size glass and had to reorder it and return about three weeks later. They were apologetic, but sounded like this wasn't the first time that had happened. The day they did the work the guys were very courteous and attentive to detail and cleaned up well. I have them a 'C' for punctuality because of the delay/bad measurement. They were very punctual on the day that they did the install.

We spoke with a couple of contractors and Caplan seemed reasonable. They came out and looked the job over then quoted what seemed like a fair price. We contracted with them to do the work based on the Angie's List recommendation. They performed the job as quoted and within the time frame we agreed on. They cleaned up so you could not tell they had done any work.

I had a window over the washer in a metal-frame basement window. It had been cracked for a while but had gotten worse over the last several months. The cracked pane was wired into the home alarm system, which meant that the replacement had to be coordinated with the alarm company as well. I called mid-morning, and they had an estimator out by mid-afternoon. An hour after the estimator left, the office called to make an appointment for the following morning. I was able to arrange with alarm company to re-tape the window. An item of long standing on my to-do list was taken care in with dispatch and professionalism in short order.

I was satisfied with the storm window repairs, however after they were done with the insulated glass, the doors wouldn't open very easily. Also, I gave them the dimensions of the mirror and when they delivered it, it was the wrong size. They said they didn't take responsibility because they didn't take the measurements. They didn't want to haul away the old mirror either, but they eventually took it.

The workers who came out were very nice as well as very knowledgeable on what they were doing since they worked really quickly. I m really happy with the outcome of the work and will definitely use them again.

I had a minor mix-up with scheduling. The workers arrived in the morning, while I was still at work instead of during the 3-hour afternoon timeframe that was scheduled. I called the office, and the workers returned on the same day and replaced the glass. They were very polite and professional, and I thought the price was reasonable.

On time polite and professional, work was completed without a hitch.

THE COMPANY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT. THE GUY CAME OUT TO LOOK AT THE GLASS THE SAME DAY WE CALLED. THE GLASS HAD TO BE SPECIAL ORDERED, BUT THE WORK WAS DONE WITHIN ONE WEEK.
