Belle's Hauling & Moving LLC

I hired Belle about a year ago to haul away furniture as well as move several items into storage. That experience was so positive that when I need a hauling job recently, I called Belle right away. She answered the phone (when is the last time that happened?) and we set up a time for the job then and there. She quoted a price over the phone based on what I said needed to be hauled away with the understanding that the final price might be more or less upon the job being done. We agreed over the phone and Belle asked that I have cash in hand for the job. No check or credit card. I was fine with that. She came on the date and exact time as set. Did the job solo. She is strong and packed everything in the truck plus several additional items I added before she arrived all by herself much to my dismay. She did the job quickly and I couldn't have been more pleased. Price was absolutely fair and just as she had quoted. Today, Belle came back for a second job that I called her about two days ago. A neighbor had a pile of trash that has been a real eye sore. I cleared it with the neighbor and called Belle to come back. She was able to schedule the job within two days. Once again she came right on time, got the job done quickly and charged me $50 less than quoted on the phone to prepare for. I would call Belle anytime for hauling and moving needs.

Everything went great. The person arrived at 9:30 on the dot, as scheduled. She was very courteous and removed the fridge and branch as we had discussed. I will definitely use them again in the future for any moving/hauling needs I may have.

Amazing!!!! I have had much experience with movers, as my job requires frequent relocation. Ms. Belle and her team were by far the best I have ever experienced. She and her team were organized, professional, efficient and went the extra mile with what I consider an extremely difficult move (due to the narrow alley that the truck had to manuver through, narrow passageways and stairs in the row house). Ms. Belle was hands-on and assured that all ran smoothly. I cannot possibly say enough about how Ms Belle and her team went the extra mile to assure that I was satisfied with all aspects of the process. The move took twice as long as expected (she underestimated just how much "pack-ratty crap" I had stashed away in my apt!). Also I had a storage room in my building with outdoor furniture and other items that I forgot to tell her about when she came to do the estimate. She did not charge me extra for the storage room, or for the many extra hours of unexpected time for the move. She treated her crew (and me) with the utmost respect during a long and challenging day.....did I mention that we also had a huge snowstorm that day as well? They were punctual, did a terrific job, cleaned up very well. They showed up on time. I was impressed!

They were courteous, prompt, professional, extremely careful with the furniture and the walls -- it was a tricky staircase--and packed everything very well. We plan to use this service again!

Move went very quickly despite many stairs at my Dad's house and more (11) stairs up to my front door with a difficult turn at the door. They were careful at all times not to brush walls or leave any marks on the sofa. Will be using them again soon.

It was oversized furniture that had to be moved down very tight stairs and Belle managed to make it work.

My sister and I live out of state and had to move our father from one assisted living facility to another with 4 days notice. Ms. Belle responded promptly to information requests and offered immediate; convenient and cost effective scheduling. Not all the pieces had to go to the facility, the rest had to go back home to our mother's house. With the two drop off's it was such a relief that Ms. Belle was able to acccomdate such. She called to confirm the pick up time and arrangements Saturday evening and this put our mind completely at ease for the last minute Monday morning job. Would absolutely recommend and use this provider again.

Everything went well until they insisted on decoupling two sofa sections that were locked. i said they had never been separated and asked them not to separate them. They insisted, prying, twisting and pulling the pieces until the connecter broke off. I paid them but I wasn't happy. To be fair, they were careful not to rub the furniture against the walls and were prompt and professional otherwise. BUT, I have to pay to correct the damage.

It went very well. They were very skillful, efficient and polite.

We have used Belle's twice now to move our belongings, once in July 2012 moving from a Baltimore apartment to a townhouse near White Marsh, and again a year later to move from there to the house we bought in Beltsville. Belle and her staff do a careful and meticulous job. Nothing was damaged in the move. I rarely give a grade of A for price, but she really is quite reasonable, and she didn't add anything when my estimate of the number of boxes turned out to be low.

Ms. Belle responded promptly to my request for an estimate and scheduled the relatively small job as soon as possible along with providing me with a choice of several dates and times -- always important to me. I've dealt with so many businesses that treat customers with small jobs poorly as a low priority. Her quoted price was exactly as charged as opposed to several movers I've used over the years. Two very competent employees arrived 5 minutes early (perfect) and took great care of the things moved as well as the home areas both to and from. The movers were communicative with me and with each other, creative, kind and courteous. They described other tasks the company performs, so we look forward to request their varied services in the future. It could not have been an easier or more pleasant experience. Made my day. Very impressive!

Belle called back quickly after I called her. She asked for a list of what I needed hauled and quoted me a price. While she was nice on the phone she seemed distracted. It sounded like she was doing something else at the same time she was talking to me. While the price was a little higher than I thought it would be (based on other reviews for her company as well as other hauling companies on Angie's list) I agreed to have the work done and we set a time for the following Saturday morning. She called back later to give me an exact time and did show up at that time. That's where the good part of the experience ended. She arrived at the house with a worker who appeared to be a teenage. I had our dog on a leash next to me. She said she was afraid of dogs and indicated the dog couldn't be there while they worked (I sympathize with a fear of certain animals, but she didn't say anything ahead of time to indicate that I would need to make arrangements to have our dog sequestered). Thankfully my daughter was home and was able to take our dog into a bedroom with her. Then we started looking at the things that needed to be moved. I showed her the dressers and then went into a bedroom to show her the desk. She said I hadn't told her there was a desk over the phone and that moving it would be additional. Given that there was only phone conversation (she doesn't use email is available apparently) it was my word against hers. Her demeanor, which was already not particularlay friendly after seeing the dog, became outright nasty. I asked her what she wanted to do - she could move the desk as I had asked on the phone or we could cancel the transaction. She said "show me what else there is". We went downstairs to look at the bathroom cabinet. She got nastier, saying it wasn't a cabinet and that she envisioned something much smaller. She only takes cash - and I only had enough to pay her on me. So at that point I basically said - do you want to do this for the original price or should be cancel? In the end she did the work as agreed. All in all I found the transaction very distasteful and her attitude unprofessional. While she was careful with the pieces so as not to damage the floors or walls and guided the worker attentively to that end they took the hutch off the desk to make it easier to move and dropped some of the pieces making significant noise, but the floor doesn't appear to have been damaged.

The move went well. Belle called about twenty minutes before the agreed upon arrival time to let me know she was on her way. I was somewhat concerned when she arrived that she was driving an open pick-up type truck but she explained that to keep costs down she selects the best vehicle for the job. She said a panel type truck would have cost me more. She further advised that my items would be secured and covered up. In addition to my items, my sister had arranged to have a bar that she no longer wanted hauled away. Belle actually gave my sister a lower price than she had quoted over the phone once she saw the size/weight of the bar. Since my sister was saving money she asked if a table that she didn't want could also be hauled away. Belle agreed to haul away the table and bar for the original price she had quoted for the bar only. I left my sister's house and told Belle I would meet her at my apartment. It did take longer than I expected for her to arrive at my apartment, but she said she had run into some problems breaking down my sister's table and fitting it into her truck. Once she arrived, she and her son, who was helping her, unloaded and moved my items up three flights of stairs in a timely manner. I paid her in cash the amount we had agreed upon over the phone plus a tip for a job well-done. She provided me with a receipt. I discussed with Belle the possibility of using her to pick up and assemble items that I plan to purchase from Ikea in the near future. She suggested that I first get a delivery quote from Ikea as it may be less than what she would have to charge since they charge per load and not per item. She said assembly service cost is based on complexity of the item. Overall a good experience and satisfied with the job performed.

I wasn't there for the Piano moving, but my Husband said they did an excellent job, taking care not to bump into walls etc. It was a very heavy piano and we were surprised that two people could do it, but they had the right equipment that was needed. Next, they removed a lot of junk from the house, and while I think they did a great job, I found the helper to be a bit distant in his approach to to us. It was nothing significan, just something I noted.

Belle was extremely professional and courteous. This was a very difficult job, yet it went very smoothly and for a very reasonable price. I would definitely use Belle again.

I sold a buffet and glass-door breakfront on Craigslist, and the buyer and I agreed to split the cost of moving the pieces from Towson to Ellicott City. I called Belle after seeing her company favorably reviewed on Angie's List, and the reviewers did not exaggerate. I, too, was very pleased with the process, the results, and the price. Belle was extremely careful and methodical and did everything possible to ensure safe passage of my things. I would call her again in a minute, and I recommend her, without reservation.

Great. Belle runs a super company. She was prompt in getting back to me and in providing an estimate. They arrived exactly on time and had the work completed within an hour. Both Belle and her helper were very nice and friendly. It was almost like magic.

It was a pretty big challenge, and she did it with minimal tools -- just a couple of dollys, straps, and blankets. I was impressed with her physical intuition on how to do things properly, and she took care not to damage the radiators (or her back!)

I recommend her to everyone. She is professional and has a marvelous personality. She's very specific about what I wanted.

Overall it was a great experience. It is hard to find movers who will do smaller jobs such as this. Belle took the job on short notice and made the move for a very reasonable price. She was on time and very professional.

Belle was very friendly and professional from the get go. She and her son arrived on time and went right to work. There was a problem with the elevators at my father-in-law's apartment, but she never complained. I will certainly use her again.

In the restoration of my bath I had a vintage claw foot tub restored and called Belle's to have it moved into the house. I called Belle's and spoke to Belle herself. She asked detailed questions about the task at hand and gave a price over the phone. Belle's coordinated the delivery of the tub and moved it into the house. The tub is very heavy and Belle sent strong, qualified and very careful mover's to perform the job. Belle honored the price quoted on the phone even though it took slightly longer than anticipated. Belle's prices are set in accordance to the work, which is extremely fair. Belle's is tops in both value and service. Belle's will be my first call for any moving/hauling needs. Thanks Belle!

We called Belle's and the call was returned promptly...within the hour. Belle's prices jobs in accordance with the task to be performed, which is very rare these days. Two upstairs air conditioners were moved into the attic and covered. Two air conditioners from the first floor were moved into the basement and covered. Work was performed carefully and Belle's staff was very courteous. This is the second time we have called Belle's and both times we were very satisfied with their performance. Belle's will always be my first call for any moving / hauling job. Thanks Belle!

Upon initial phone call to Belle, I knew I had chosen the right company. Each call was returned promptly and I even received a confirmation call the day prior to service. Also, Belle was true to her price quote upon job completion as well. She and her assistant arrived promptly and handled the job very professionally. The rain didn't hamper the job either. Belle wrapped the furniture that was being moved into storage and transported it from apartment to truck to storage unit as though it were her own. In addidtion there were several items that were being hauled away and Belle handled that as well. Belle was courteous and professional. I would use Belle again and would recommend as well.
