Abbey was great from start to finish. The estimate, although not the cheapest, was pretty close. They facilitated a survey, showed up on time and the work was high quality. They have a lifetime warrantee not offered by everyone. They came highly recommended from others and I would concur. While putting up a fence certainly doesn't make everyone happy, Abbey made it as painless as possible.

Good experience after we got past the "I want my exisitng fence repaired" vs. "No you don't, it needs to be replaced" debate. I finally was convinced after I spoke to another fencing contractor and looked at the existing fence more closely. The other contractor also gave me a price (about 20% higher) for essentially the same work. The job is done and it looks good so I am happy.

This was an excellent experience from start to finish. A neighbor had used them a few months prior and also had a good experience. Our salesperson, Brandon, was very punctual and responsive to all our questions and requests. The materials, workmanship, and attention to detail were all great. Our backyard is sloped to one side, and the workers did a nice job contouring the gate on one side so the bottom fit the slope of the land.

The salesman was very nice and knowledgeable. He didn't pressure me into making a decision at our first meeting and responded to follow-up questions quickly. On the day of the fence installation the crew arrived earlier than the estimated time - calling in advance to make sure that was ok. The job required removal of an existing fence, and installation of a vinyl fence covering a larger portion of the yard than was originally fenced. They worked efficiently and finished the job in one day. So far, the fence looks great and works wonderfully. The product was exactly as described.

They seemed good. They answered my questions and were punctual. Nothing special really stood out. I will contact them again in the future for a bid.

Abbey Fence originally put up our fence about 20 years ago. The fence held up very good. We first talked to their rep at the MD Home and Garden Show and left our contact information. We did not hear from them so we called. We still did not hear from them and called a second time. We finally arranged a time for an estimate. Abbey Fence clearly wanted us to replace the entire fence (1 acre of property) which we could not afford and which did not need to be completely replaced. They made a big deal out of just replacing posts and rails and how much trouble that would be. (Note: We have previously had Abbey do replacement work and they were willing to do it, but it was costly) A written estimate was mailed to us about a week later and was twice that of another company. We decided even though Abbey originally put up our fence to go with another company who was willing to do repair work.

We received quotes from 3 companies, but we chose Abbey-Fritz Fence. We had a very positive experience overall. They were on time. Everyone was professional. They seemed well prepared. They cleaned up well after the construction was completed. There is also a lifetime guarantee.

The fence was installed poorly with little attention to doing it right.Boards are warped,wire fencing not pulled tight,nails sticking out...pieces are falling off...the handle on one of the gates fell off...overall a very poor job and I would not use this company again.

Not so good at getting it right the first time, but willing to make repeated attempts to correct. The fence was initially installed insideout with the pickets on the wrong side (as per the contract). They re-built it the second time on the right side, but the pickets were not spaced evenly particularly where the posts were set into the ground. The pickets were also set from right on the ground up to 6'' above the ground. The third attempt got the pickets spaced evenly, but they only set about 1/2 of them closer to the ground. There are quite a few extra holes in the wood now, and we are more giving up than accepting the fence as properly done. They told me that this was one of the better crews, so I would be cautious of the work here. It is best to be home to supervise when they come to do the work. The pricing was lower than Long Fence.

Although the fencing is not cheap, it is well worth the price for the follow up care and lifetime warranty. Abbey stands behind their work. On the original section, we had a small issue with the gate hinge screws breaking and they were right out to fix it a year later. Brandon (sales) helped us lay out the fence design and was very helpful with questions. The installation crew were very professional and concerned with my satisfaction. The installation went smoothly with little inconvenience. They worked hard to do a fantastic job. Their pride in workmanship shows. I would use them again when needed.

The salesman misled us as to how posts were to be installed in existing concrete. It ended up costing us $250 more to install it properly so the concrete around our pool wouldn't crack. The workers also didn't take much pride in their work. Initially, they installed the fence EXACTLY following ground level, which made it look very jagged and unprofessional. There were also many other relatively minor things that needed to be fixed or cleaned up after they were "done" (which they did promptly after we called and complained, but it would have taken less time to do it right the first time). The big problem was that the fence was not installed squarely around our pool - it's 2 feet closer to the pool at one end than the other, and sadly, that can't be remedied. Again, taking a few more minutes to get things right the first time would have made us a lot happier.

THEY WERE VERY POLITE COMING TO THE DOOR AND ASKING IF THEY COULD COME IN . THEY DISCUSSED THE PROCESS WITH ME AND FINISHED THEIR WORK IN A TIMELY MATTER.

THIS COMPANY WAS GREAT TO DEAL WITH. THE PRICE WAS GOOD AND THEY WERE PUNCTUAL. I HAD NO PROBLEMS. IT WAS INSTALLED WITH NO DELAYS AND HAS LASTED AND IS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS FAVORABLE. WE HAD TO WAIT 10 WEEKS FOR THE JOB TO START BUT WE WERE TOLD THAT FROM THE START. ONCE THE FENCE WAS STARTED THE CREW STAYED ALL DAY FOR SEVERAL DAYS UNTIL THE JOB WAS COMPLETED. THE CREW WAS RESPONSIVE TO A COUPLE OF AESTHETIC COMPLAINTS I HAD AND DID WHATEVER WE ASKED TO MAKE US HAPPY. THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AND INSTALL WAS EXCELLENT.
