The salesman who arrived for the estimate was extremely curtious, professional and helpful. He ensured that I had all the necessary information and more as it related to the product and the installation. Once I received approval from my HOA and could move forward with the project things came together a lot quicker then expected!!! Initially I was told that it would be 2-3 weeks once the product was ordered to schedule the install. It ended up being under 2 weeks. Although Mrs.Utilities had not marked the yard and my yard had not been staked yet, Abbey Fence got it done immediately before scheduling the installation. Abbey Fence worked with me with no issue when scheduling the installation, so that I could be present. Due to weather, we had to push back the install one day, but I was notified promptly. The crew arrived before our scheduled appointment and worked diligently to get the job done before the end of the day. I am extremely pleased with the craftsmenship and the quality of the product. Unfortunately, my gutter was pulled away from the house during the install, but Abbey Fence corrected this minor issue no questions asked!!!

We received quotes from three companies, Abbey included. Abbey's quote not only outbid the other two, but was also the only one that showed a detail of everything they were charging, breaking it down by materials, labor, permits and fees, and profit. It was very encouraging to deal with an honest and transparent salesman. We had an unique situation with our fence; we live in a townhouse with no back alley, and a retaining wall behind us. We agreed with our next-door neighbor to work together so that we could have our fence without blocking their access to go around back; Abbey was very flexible and understanding, and they came up with the solution of building the neighbors a small gate between our fence and the retaining wall, which pleased us all. Once we signed the contract with Abbey, they estimated 1-2 weeks before the work would start. Due to all the snow we had to deal with, the project was delayed one week, which was completely understandable. They called the day before to inform us they would be coming in the next day, and that the job would be done in a day. The crew showed up on time, and worked very fast. They finished the fence in about 5-6 hours, but had to come back the next day to place the caps on the poles, which was not an issue. The crew was very professional and polite. We really have no complaints.

They came out the next day after my call. They sent me a written estimate within three working days and completed the job within another 3 working days. Since I had dogs, I really appreciated their responsiveness.

They came the next day to look at our property. Emailed the estimate the day after and installed the fence within a week. We are very happy with the results.

Mike came out exactly on time and provided a written quote for the job. His quote was in line with the other companies in the area and he threw in some extras (larger poles, extra fabric) to close the deal. I told him that I wanted it done ASAP and he said it would be about three weeks for the start. I was happy when they called me in one week and said they could start the job the next day. The crew knew their stuff but did use all hand tools (post hole diggers etc) which surprised me. They did have to go out and buy concrete at a local store; they should have had something like that on the truck. They where slower than I expected by about 33%- thought 150 foot chain link should take two days and it took them three. The time estimate was my guess and not any representation from them so that should not be a negative for the company. I did notice, about a week later that they were short two pole caps and did not say anything or offer to bring them back at a later date. The caps are cheap and I will get them at the next visit to the local box store but I was disappointed that they did not tell us about the small shortfall. I would recommend them and was happy with the final result.

Job began on a Friday. They botched the post placements, then the crew leader lied to my husband that Dave (project mgr.) had come to okay the incorrect placement. He was very rude, argued about having to fix it and made it clear there was never any intention to return Sat. to finish the job. We called and emailed the office immediately, as we were promised we would not be without a fence for the weekend. Neither our call or email was responded to, ever. The crew returned that Mon. only to AGAIN not finish because they "ran out of boards". Said they would return Tues AM. By 11 AM Tues, no one had come to finish the job. When we called to ask what was going on, we were told they had our job marked as complete. Another crew showed up later to finally finish the job. No one followed up with us about how badly the job went. We simply got a bill in the mail. My husband later spoke to Matt in sales and he had no concern for our bad experience, only about getting us to pay.

Job completed in one day. Workers arrived on time and stayed until job was completed.

The fence is going to be about 350 linear feet mixed between picket and privacy. Their estimate was right in line with other estimates we received. Mike the salesman was fantastic. He showed up on time, was friendly and professional. I ended up going with another company only because there was a very small difference in price. I heard just as many good things about Abbey as we heard about the company I went with. Mike did a follow up call to find out what I had decided and was disappointed we had decided to use a different company. I told him the company I decided to use and he told me that they were great guys and I should be very happy with my fence. That is truly a class act. I was very impressed. One company that came out to give me an estimate actually came in the lowest but talked trash about their competitors. That was such a turn off. Although I didn't use Abbey, I would recommend them to anyone.

They were professional and very responsive. I communicated with them a couple of times by e-mail and they have responded. It is a matter of our deciding what to do and they have been helpful in helping us. It is just mainly our decision making and we haven’t decided. It is not the estimate was bad or anything like that it is just that we haven’t decided on style and stuff yet.

The job went well, very nice workers, knew what they were doing, cleaned up after job was finished. They also installed my neighbor's fence. I would recommend Abby Fritz Fence Co. to anyone wanting that type of service ! The representative, Branden, was also very helpful in this process !!

Well, however the guy was kind of not flexible concerning my ideas and his ideas. At the end I couldn't really get what I wanted, the price was somehow the same as others but it seems difficult for me to work with them!

We got four estimates. Each fence company was professional, each had their own features to offer. Abbey-Fritz was the least expensive, but they came with a lifetime warranty, and they were flexible enough to work with us as we changed our minds several times. David did our estimate, and he accommodated us as the design evolved. He was great with our dogs and made the suggestion to narrow down on the picket placement because of the dogs - a small Jack Russell mix is really fast and fearless. The finished product looks great and is impressive. When the posts went in, it seemed to make the yard smaller, but with everything up it makes the back yard feel very expansive. The crew was very nice. As was the office staff when I dropped off a copy of the full survey that we had done of the lot. (NOTE: The undertaking of the survey was NOT required by Abbey, this was something that my husband and I decided on because we live in an HOA neighborhood and the fence needed that approval before we could move forward. We wanted no last minute hold ups.)

Getting the estimate went well. We scheduled the estimate for the next day in the afternoon. I called the morning the appointment was scheduled to see if they could come in the morning instead of the afternoon, and they were able to accommodate our request.

My husband felt that the price was reasonable. Everything was fine and it's very nice. It took longer than they quoted, but that wasn't their fault. It was the fault of our county for not sending their inspectors when they were supposed to.

Abbey was great from start to finish. The estimate, although not the cheapest, was pretty close. They facilitated a survey, showed up on time and the work was high quality. They have a lifetime warrantee not offered by everyone. They came highly recommended from others and I would concur. While putting up a fence certainly doesn't make everyone happy, Abbey made it as painless as possible.

Good experience after we got past the "I want my exisitng fence repaired" vs. "No you don't, it needs to be replaced" debate. I finally was convinced after I spoke to another fencing contractor and looked at the existing fence more closely. The other contractor also gave me a price (about 20% higher) for essentially the same work. The job is done and it looks good so I am happy.

This was an excellent experience from start to finish. A neighbor had used them a few months prior and also had a good experience. Our salesperson, Brandon, was very punctual and responsive to all our questions and requests. The materials, workmanship, and attention to detail were all great. Our backyard is sloped to one side, and the workers did a nice job contouring the gate on one side so the bottom fit the slope of the land.

The salesman was very nice and knowledgeable. He didn't pressure me into making a decision at our first meeting and responded to follow-up questions quickly. On the day of the fence installation the crew arrived earlier than the estimated time - calling in advance to make sure that was ok. The job required removal of an existing fence, and installation of a vinyl fence covering a larger portion of the yard than was originally fenced. They worked efficiently and finished the job in one day. So far, the fence looks great and works wonderfully. The product was exactly as described.

It went fine they got the job done. It looks nice and they were easy to work with. They did a nice job of clearing the area. They were very efficient as well.

They seemed good. They answered my questions and were punctual. Nothing special really stood out. I will contact them again in the future for a bid.

Abbey Fence originally put up our fence about 20 years ago. The fence held up very good. We first talked to their rep at the MD Home and Garden Show and left our contact information. We did not hear from them so we called. We still did not hear from them and called a second time. We finally arranged a time for an estimate. Abbey Fence clearly wanted us to replace the entire fence (1 acre of property) which we could not afford and which did not need to be completely replaced. They made a big deal out of just replacing posts and rails and how much trouble that would be. (Note: We have previously had Abbey do replacement work and they were willing to do it, but it was costly) A written estimate was mailed to us about a week later and was twice that of another company. We decided even though Abbey originally put up our fence to go with another company who was willing to do repair work.
