Kris Konstruction Design & Build Group

Chris was wonderful. He listened to my ideas, incorporated some of his own and gave me the kitchen of my dreams (on paper) I love the results. He understood that I wanted to keep it in scale with the house cost wise. He went over the prices with me in detail. Over all very please with the time he took and the renderings.

This is the second time we'ver used Kris Konstruction to remodel a bathroom. Both times, they've done a terrific job. The work is exceptional, to the smallest details. Now we're going to use them for our kitchen.

After several trips to Kris recommended plumbing and tile businesses to select products and subsequent review of select cabinetry and closets offered by Kris Konstruction we were presented a price that was significantly higher than our budget and as we later discovered what other contractors we located through Angie's List provided us . When we expressed concerns over the high prices we were told to reduce the scope of our project by eliminating all bedroom closets , painting, and the additional kitchen work we had requested. After having reduced our scope as requested the Kris Konstruction price was still much higher even at the reduced scope than others quoted us to do the initial scope of work When we asked Kris Konstruction if there was anything else that could be done to bring price in line with our budget we were told to pre-purchase all of our plumbing fixtures and tile at Lowes. At this point we moved on to ither contractors and found an Angie's Contractor that was able to fulfill the original scope with our selected plumbing and tile products and stay within our budget.

We decided not to go with them because we found something less expensive. Their quote was for around $ 35000 and there were a lot of things which we were to supply which were not included in the estimate. They were very good. They were very smooth and very professional. We liked them a lot but we found someone else who did the same kind of thing.

They did a number of jobs for us. I wasn’t totally satisfied with the job they did. I felt that they didn’t give me the total attention to detail that I wanted. They didn’t install the doors properly, they’re not opening or closing the way they’re supposed to.

We did not end up using Kris Konstruction, but based on their responsiveness, professionalism, and price, I would seriously consider using them for future services.

It went well. We didn't end up using them. They were very professional and they were very informative. It seemed to me like they were very thorough. What I like about the guy is that he was really nice. We just didn't want to commit because we want to get several more estimates. I would definitely have them come back out and give us a quote for anything else that we needed.

They came out and gave me an estimate for more than what I wanted to spend. Regardless they were courteous, nice, and professional.

They were courteous and professional however, I really did not care for the length of time it took for them to come out and do the work from the time of my consultation and 1/2 down, downpayment. In addition, one of their workers was looking around the back of my home, outside of the window of the room I just happened to be working in and he went into the corner and started urinatimg on my house. I realize that his actions really did not reflect on the company as a whole, but he is one of their employees and that really made me angry. I just told that forman what happened and told him that the men can come in and use the restroom if they need to. So... good work but one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.

The appt. went very well in that the servicemen (there were 2) were very thorough in their inspection, repair, & recommendation of the status of our roof. We'd had a couple of small leaks which they quickly found & temporarily patched. They also took pictures of other problem areas on the roof & strongly recommended we consider a replacement in the very near future. Since the house is over 20 years old, nothing they said surprised us, though it did move the idea of replacement to the forefront of our thoughts. I will definitely consider them when obtaining quotes this Spring.

Work was performed competently and expeditiously. Crew showed up on time and put in a full day each day until the job was completed. Bathroom looks great and everything works.

Placed tarps around entire perimeter of house to protect shrubs and catch debris, removed existing 1800sf of shingles and underlayment, replaced 5 rotted panels, installed metal flashing around entire roof edge and chimney, put down new roofing felt, and new shingles, with complete clean-up -- all in one day. Crew of 7-8 men worked very efficiently and professionally. The scheduled date for the roof replacement was a little farther out than I would have preferred (45 days), but not unreasonable for large job/crew. Everyone from owner, to phone contacts, and onsite workers were very pleasant and professional.

Installed new roof on one damaged by hail. Job was delayed by weather. I had to make a couple of calls to find out when they were rescheduling. Other than the communications problem they were prompt and professional. They appear to have done a good job but with a roof only time will tell.

The process from beginning to end was fantastic. From the initial design and concept development to sweeping out our garage at project completion Kris Construction was very professional. Chris Roe was very good at explaining all aspects of design and options to us and was very forward with pricing right up front. We had multiple changes to the design and built things in after the project started and Chris was very understanding and worked with us on price. I can't say enough about our project manager Jeremy Miller. He was thorough and prompt, listened to our requests and provided positive and negative feedback when asked. His attention to detail is what struck us. He cared about the work he was doing for us and it really did show. Throughout the build both Chris and Jeremy provided frequent phone calls to provide updates and discuss the project. We never felt like we did not know what was going on and with a project this large that is a good feeling to have. I would highly recommend Kris Construction for a project of this magnitude and would be glad to show the work they did in our kitchen with anyone.

We purchased the deal and after a few back and forth we scheduled the appointment. First time it was a no call no show and the second time they cancelled. Once we finally met for initial discussion, the cost estimates were over and then there were perceived restrictions on material purchased. Then there were more delay in being able to coordinate and discuss more. Now we are out of time and may have to deploy soon so the project is going to be put on hold for now. Thanks!

7They showed up on time and finished the job in 3 days. They cleaned up beautifully and there was no indication that construction work had occurred. They showed how to operated and clean the windows. The new windows are beautiful, inside and out! I would definitely recommend Kris Konstruction.

They placed a new roof and gutter system. There was some unintended interior finishing trim and drywall that was disrupted and one of the skylights was replaced out of true. The company was very responsive to my concerns and promptly returned to make everything right!

On another note, this deal should not be advertised as a "complete bathroom" remodeling, since my out-of-pocket expenses over and above the deal price amount to approximately $6500.00. Further, considering that this company continues to advertise the same deal, when they are obviously overbooked, is a matter that Angie's List should address.

Overall, the job went well and we are very pleased with the final result. The only complaint we have is that the job took 2-3 times longer than originally estimated. Unfortunately, that was at least partially due to the fact that one of the team members resigned from the company just before our job began, so most of the work was done by just one person. He was able to get some help for part of the job, which helped move things along a little faster than it might have. After the job was completed, we had a problem with the shower draining properly, but Wade came back right away and resolved the problem. This was the second time we had worked with Wade and we were very pleased with his work both times.

We were very pleased with the bathroom remodel and with Kris Konstruction overall. Wade and his team were very nice to work with and did an excellent job.

Work is scheduled to begin in January. To-date, all contact with Kris Konstruction has been professional and extremely helpful.

Totally would recommend them! Actually, I already have.

This review may not be what Angie's List is looking for as no decisions have been made. Kris came to look at our bathroom, took measurements and talked about some ideas that I liked. He is to get back to me early this week with an estimate. He's a nice man, very professional and presented pros and cons of some of the important issues. While Kris's estimate was reasonable, I decided to go with someone else who would bring all materials. This eliminated me bringing items home and insures that the correct items are purchased.

I paid more than the big deal purchase. The square foot is only 1700 square feet. The houses these days are not that small anymore. It was square foot based. The price went up from $6000 to $11000. They had an issue scheduling it even though I called them a month ahead. Finally, they said the date. I informed them of the preferable dates. They came in the way they said it. There's no question about that. They had the materials. They did it all in a day and a half. I don't see any issue with them at all. They did the work as they said with the schedule. They finished it in time. They cleaned up everything very nicely. It looks fine to me. I would have preferably a different color of choice but they didn't have the once that I asked for. It was the color I was really interested. For some reason, they didn't have that color. The one they recommended was okay. I would use their service again.
