Description of Work: I scheduled a work up of my kitchen and they came out, measured and said due to the volume of work they had they would not be doing my kitchen job!

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $75 - "Kitchen Design Consultation w/ 3D Renderings plus credit"; I was really excited about having my tiny kitchen (actually - more of a kitchenette) redone. The technician - Chris - showed up at my house at the appointed time - but he did not perform the paid-for activity. Reason - he first started asking how much I was willing to spend. He told me that if I was not willing to spend at least $25,000 - then his company would not 'waste their time'. He refused to do the 3D rendering because I did not want him to tear down the wall between my kitchen and dining room. I kept telling him that I just wanted the old appliances (except for the stove) and cabinets replaced, the walls/ceiling repainted and the floor tile replaced - but he was not listening. |My kitchen is very small - but he said 'size didn't matter' because I would still need the same number of workers, regardless of how much work was actually involved. He tried to pressure me into agreeing to pay $25,000 - for a job - without him taking actual measurements or my even choosing any appliances, or cabinets - nothing! |Perhaps he was totally correct - BUT he did not provide the service that I paid for! Nor did he show me any paperwork that justified his $25,000 price. |He then told me that his company would repay me the $75 that I paid ....as long as I did not notify Angie's list that he did not provide the service that I had paid for. By that time, I just wanted him to leave my house. |Needless to say - I have not received my money back, but even if I did - I would never do business with this company again.

Description of Work: After water severely damaged our basement, destroying our 1/2 bath, Kris Konstruction DRAMATICALLY improved the existing, 1/2 bath, to a beautiful new full bath which now includes a beautiful "Neo-Angle" corner shower with a hydro-therapy shower tower. Now, for the first time in the 37 years we've owned this home, it not only includes a shower, but a externally vented fan/light combination. Their contractor/carpenter/plumber, Clayton Ryder, not only did an exceptional job, he created a beautiful, hand-laid ceramic tile floor, and installed a space-saving pocket door. His work was so exceptional, we've asked for itemized lists of other projects, so that we can schedule future work, and especially requested that Clayton be assigned to those jobs. |Thank you Angie's List for hooking us up with Kris Konstruction! DRAMATIC CRAFTSMANSHIP! Completed on schedule.

Description of Work: $5,750 Bathroom Remodel

Description of Work: We discussed making an appointment for a kitchen consultation, but their timeline was so far out that we were not willing to wait that long. They were very busy. We agreed that this service would not work for me at this time, and they agreed to refund me what I had paid to Angie's list for the "big deal". I am still waiting for that refund, and I have called Kris Construction two times reminding them, to no avail.

Description of Work: The company was very polite and prompt in their responses to us. We will keep them in mind for the future when we are able to do our addition.

Description of Work: They took my $500.00. When they learned the location of the work to be done - College Park, Md., they said the area was too far from their home office. They would have to charge me a PREMIUM PRICE, if they decided to do it at all. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. I have called their office over 5 times and no refund is forthcoming

Description of Work: Bought the deal, they came out for an estimate, the bathroom was much bigger than the deal called for and even though they were willing to cut us a break, it ended up being much more than we will planning on paying. Communication could have been a bit better, we sent an email asking about cost reduction of certain items and received no feedback until 3 weeks later when I called them back.

Description of Work: Kitchen design and quote. Was very professional and detailed. Flexible with our requests and immediate with great software. Chris did a great job and we are going ahead with the job.

Description of Work: It would have good to have more than a days notice to start the job. I am very happy with the job. However. I was away on vacation when the job was started. It rained the first day of the job. The roof leaked. It was handled. However, may have turned out differently if I was not home and saw the leak.

Description of Work: We purchased the stamped concrete sidewalk and paid an additional cost to replace the stoop. Our initial visit with Kris was awesome but after that we had to initiate every step of the way. We were told we would receive a call in a few weeks to set up the work and did not When we received the contract the directions were not clear that we needed to sign and return that before we were contacted (which I found out b/c I called after not hearing from anyone) Once we returned it I called 3 weeks later to try to find out when we could have the work done. Again no one called after we returned the contract. Then there was a discrepancy about the date of work and given two different dates. Once we had the date I called to doublechck to see that they were actually coming. On the date of the job no one called to say the work would begin around 11 AM. My husband took the entire day off. The work was outstanding however we realized (when they arrived) that the contract was written for brushed concrete and the Groupon we purchased was for a stamped concrete. Of course throughout the course of the 4 months from when we purchased it to the date of service we were told someone would contact us to decide on the stamp and color and then when that didn't happen we were told that we could decide on the day of the work. Unfortunately we didn't notice the brushed concrete on the contract and the workers came prepared with the brushed concrete materials. We were very disappointed with the lack of communication and wonder if this is how you're treated when you have a Groupon. All in all we spent $2200 and should have received better service.

Description of Work: They tore out the existing bathroom and built a completely new shower with tile to the ceiling and sliding glass doors. They installed a new tile floor, a new toilet and a built-in vanity. They hung the accessories, new mirror, lighting fixture, towel bar and ring, etc. Finally, they sealed the tile and painted the remaining walls and trim. It looks beautiful! It's exactly the way I wanted it. |Tony Smith and his crew, Jim, Frank, and Derek did the actual work on my project and they could not have been better to work with. They did a great job.

Description of Work: They are advertised to service my area but after three calls to them I was told that our zip code is not in there service area. The first two calls I left a message for someone to call back and no one ever did. The third call I spoke to a girl who was very nice and polite but said they did not come more than and hour and 15 minutes from their base. So I am glad I did not but the coupon for $$$$ dollars to find out after they did not come this far. Angie's List needs to fix this.

Description of Work: Relocated the plumbing for my toilet and bathtub. Gutted the entire bathroom. Provided list of basic materials (tile, toilet, sink/vanity, tub, etc.) with high and low cost to use in selecting materials. Completed bathroom in nine days and was available to make last minute adjustments in construction.

Description of Work: They are no longer serving Baltimore City. Therefore they would not come in to give me the design promised in your offer. I was very sad to learn this. I am waiting for my check in the mail to return the $75 I paid for the kitchen design. The individual who called to initially set up an appointment was very pleasant but after not making contact through phone messages she had to give me the bad news they are not doing any work in Baltimore city. In order to give Angie's list this information I am giving the firm an F.
