The work had a few delays due to a family emergency of a worker. Couple of minor issues the upgraded medicine cabinet that we ordered through the contractor was delivered, opened and installed by the contractor. It was damaged, but they installed it anyway. When we pointed it out, they initially said that it was a manufacturers defect that they were not responsible for. After making our case that we bought it through them and paid them for it, and did not even see it until they installed it damaged, they did make good on it and install a replacement. I did not think we should have had to argue for it, though. The towel bar was installed without drywall anchors so it immediately came loose. My brother-in-law fixed it. The water does not get as hot as it used to, and the pipes "sing" on occasion in the remodeled bathroom. We reported this to the contractor and they came and "looked" at it, but did not make any adjustments and the problem persists. We are living with it, but again, expected it to be perfect. Overall they did a good job, but not perfect. I think our job was small potatoes and not at all a priority for this company.

The representative who came out was very professional and nice, I just found someone else to do the work for less.

We purchased the Angie's List Big Deal special for roofing. Our roof was over the 2,000 square feet covered with the coupon, but the additional 881 square feet was priced at the same discounted rate of $3.25/sq ft. The flashing for chimneys was extra. We had two chimneys, so there was an additional charge of $400. We were extremely pleased with the work performed. The crew surrounded the ground around the house with tarps to catch debris from the tear off of the old roof. They completed the work in 1 day and cleaned up everything around the house. As a matter of fact, the area around the house looked cleaner than when they started! It's now been two months since the roof was done: several heavy rain storms later (including Sandy), and no complaints with the workmanship or material. We definitely recommend Kris Konstruction for roofing.

Kris was very helpful. He came, looked over the roof, and gave us an estimate. There were extra costs, but it was made clear in the purchase of the Big Deal. Everything went smooth. They found a couple problems in the course of removing the old roof and they took care of everything with the installation of the new roof. They did a good job. They were very polite and cleaned up well after themselves. Overall, the job went very well.

It went fine, there weren't any major issues. They were very friendly, personable, and I had no problems with them.

I was extremely pleased. Job was done quickly; great job of clean up and removal of old roof materials; work crew was courteous and didn't mind all my questions. I would highly recommend Kris Konstruction.

They did a good job. I only had one complaint with them regarding my hedges, which is not entirely there fault as I did inform them I would be out of town at the time the work would be done. I just wish they would have called me before doing anything. Other than that though, the work was fine and I would recommend them to others.

Overall - the tile work was done nicely. The plumbing and shower was also done well. I supplied the tile, grout, vanity , mirror shower, thresholds, exhaust fan and lights. I was credited for having my own supplies but I think a larger allowance should have been given.

Overall: good experience and results.

nRoofing material was delivered on June 21,2012 and on June 26 a very large crew arrived earlier and began the process of old roof removal and new roof installation.The estimate for this effort could be 1-3 days depending on crew size etc..Well I believe they may have had some slack that day and it appeared 3 crew sizes showed up..and by 3 PM that day the entire job was complete and a beautiful new roof was on the house.Kris and his team did a very excellant job and left with a nice clean area..Thanks

The new roof looks great! New flashing around the fireplace chimney looks much better than old flashing. All debris was cleaned up and removed. Work was completed as scheduled. I highly recommend this company.

I called them about taking advantage of a deal to replace the roof on house I was buying, but I don't close until the beginning of September. If they needed to get into the house I could call the seller to get into there. I was told that he might not need to access the house he uses GPS or satellite to see the roof and they would get back to me on what they needed to do. I never heard anything back.

Kris Konstruction did a super job, from start to finish. Great attention to detail, no complaints. Final outcome who more than satisfactory. I will definitely use them again!

Kris Konstruction was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. I purchased and Groupon (or Living Social, can't remember), and called the company shortly after getting the coupon to schedule an estimate. The person i spoke with on the phone was extremely nice and very flexible when scheduling the estimate visit. Kris came out himself to give us the estimate and did a very thorough job of measuring and drawing up the proposal. He explained all of the work to be done, how his company conducted the work and about their thorough clean up procedure. He also helped us pick out the right grade and color of roofing shingles. We signed a detailed contract and scheduled installation according to our schedule. The work crew delivered materials when they said, and was careful to place them neatly on the front lawn as much out of the way as was possible. When they came to do the work they showed up on time and with a very polite and professional group of workers. The guys worked quickly and took care to make sure they cleaned all of the debris off the driveway and surrounding lawn. They even had a big magnetic roller to pick up all of the roofing nails. They carefully walked the driveway after to ensure they got it all. I would definitely recommend this company. They are very professional and very friendly and easy to work with. Lisa

I bought the bathroom remodel package from Angie's List with Kris Konstruction as the company that provided the work. I was very pleased with the professionalism and punctuality by both Kris and Dave, the project manager. I could barely tell Dave had been in the house. He arrived after I left for work and was gone by the time I came home, and he managed to keep the place tidy the whole time. Renovations can sometimes cause a lot of distress, but this was a smooth job. Even with some minor setbacks (not caused by Kris Konstruction), Kris was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this company and hire them again.

Went well...I did find plenty of roofing nails afterward, as well as some pieces of roofing paper, but on the whole, they protected my gardens and did a very nice job. I had to call them about a leak, which they found around a pipe. They came out twice to make sure they gotthe caulking right. We are now finding a mutually convenient date to patch the ceilingwhere the leak came through. I may have to call them to remind them!

We started discussions with Kris Konstruction in late December 2010, and signed a contract in about late March or early April for what was to be a 6-8 week effort starting in June 2011. We received a schedule of activities of when decisions from us were needed, and it became evident early on that we were the ones anxious to make the decisions on time. We had selected the cabinets prior to signing the contract. After that we had to continually prod our coordinator to take us to the places necessary to see and select the countertops, and make other selections. Being familiar with project management from our work, it appeared to us that delays were evident, and Kris Konstruction was trying to force our lack of choices to justify their schedule slippage. We were determined to keep our part of the schedule.For the selection of the countertops, we were sent to several locations, but no one from Kris Konstruction attended those early efforts, and no one at the countertop dealers would provide us with cost and availability information. We finally forced a Saturday trip to one of the larger dealers, and did make our selection. The Kris Konstruction rep told us that four slabs were being sent to assure us of getting the best pieces to fit the countertop design layout. The first indicator that things were not going well was a demand for an early $2000 payment just to have the slabs delivered. Later in the project when we were supposed to work with our designer to actually select the areas to be cut, our designer failed to show up and we found only two slabs were available. Although we were told that our designer would help us with the actual layout, we ended up doing this on our own, with a lot of frustration. We finally realized we were on our own, and with half the assets promised made the best decisions we could.For the tile and backsplash, we had an appointment at the designated retail outlet, and again no one from Kris Konstruction showed up as promised. Fortunately the owner was very helpful and working with him we were able to make excellent selections. We passed on our selections to Kris Konstruction, asking them to evaluate our choices against the cabinets and countertop selections, but to our knowledge they never critically evaluated our selection, and only arranged shipment of our choices. Once at the house we had to work with the installer without the designer, and after a very painful process, developed the design layout for the flooring and backsplash.Workmanship on the cabinets was always and still is a problem. It is amazing how being a quarter inch out of alignment affects the difficulty of using drawers, and this has become an continuing effort we just have to live with.The schedule was also an amazing disaster. Although we were initially promised an early June start, Kris Konstruction actually started at the end of June. We made every decision on time or before, paid our fees when due, but after that we continued to be amazed at their ability to cram their 6-8 week project into a nine month nightmare. Promises were made and broken repeatedly. Asking for work plans was routinely ignored or what was provided was clearly a ten minute uncoordinated activity.We did have one design change of note. When the refrigerator was relocated, we found the resulting corner near the sink was unusable. We had to have the sink and window relocated about a foot, adding about $1200 to the project. We always felt that Kris Konstruction should have been able to foresee this as they had all the dimensions, and were doing to the work. However it was essential to fix the problem and allow access to the refrigerator while someone was at the sink.When the project was finally stopped (difficult to say "finished" as we still have ill-fitting drawers and cabinets) we got another surprise. After being delayed at least five months we received the following email from Kris Konstruction for the final 3% of the cost due:"Jim, I am requesting that you have the final payment of $2000 in my showroom by 12pm on Friday March 30th. If we do not receive the payment, I will be forced to put your account into collections and possibly have a lien placed on your home. Also, as of now, your warranty is voided due to the account being delinquent. Please submit the final payment. Your warranty will be reinstated as soon as the funds are received in my business account. Thank you. Kris Randlett President 13523 Long Green Pike Baldwin, MD 21013 T 410-592-3935 F 410-592-3938 Please Reply to this email to Confirm Receipt!" While legal, it spoke volumes about Kris Konstruction. My reply was " My paycheck arrives on Friday, at which time I will have sufficient funds to write a check. That has always been my plan." My oldest daughter got engaged, planned her wedding, and got married in less time than our kitchen project! For all the delays and lack of performance by Kris Konstruction, and not meeting any schedule they gave us, we were threatened with a lien on our house for what Kris Konstruction viewed as and unacceptable two week delay!I would recommend anyone who uses Kris Konstruction make sure that at least 25% of the cost be held to the end of the project as leverage to keep their project on schedule.

Despite delays, mostly on our part, the work went exceedingly well. We commend the company and highly recommend it to all future Angie's list members.

Went well job foreman did what he said and came back to fix two very minor problems after the completion. Made suggestions that enhanced the overall plan for the smaller bathroom.

I am very pleased with how well my bathroom remodel project completed. All parties involved were prompt and professional. My highest praise and appreciation to Dave - he is a true craftsman. He really cared how the work was done and it shows in the end result. He was always prompt and the work was completed on time. He kept the work area and my home very clean. This was a very easy and pleasant experience.

We paid some additional money for items that we wanted but the workmanship was awesome. Everything we asked for was done. A-1 company that I would rehire. Very pleased with their work.

They were leaving messages on my cell phone and I didn't know they had called because I don't always pick up my messages on this phone. I asked them to leave the message on my home phone. They canceled the first appointment because I didn't respond to her message because I didn't get them on time. I didn't think it was going well from the beginning. There prices were extremely high! They never did any work for me, it was trouble from the beginning, I am glad that we decided not to work with them.

Purchased a Big Deal Coupon for a "Complete New Roof with Lifetime Warranty" offered by Kris Konstruction, Inc. An appointment was made for Kris to come out and measure the roof, explain the work to be done, and answer any questions I might have. He was on time, friendly, and professional. I was later contacted by Janice, from his office, to let me know when the materials would be delivered, and the date the work would be completed. The workers arrived the morning of the scheduled day, and were finished by that afternoon. The roof looks great, and I would definitely hire Kris Konstruction again.

The total job went great overall. We are very pleased with the outcome.
