Mitchell Home Inspections were a god send! Mitch & Jim arrived early, and were ready to inspect every square inch of the house. They were extremely professional, polite, and generally a joy to be around. They walked us through each item they inspected; explaining their process in an easy to understand manner. The walk through is followed up with an incredibly detailed, full color (with photos) home inspection report. When I say thorough, I mean it. Ours was approximately 46 pages. Incredibly astute. Easy to talk to. Treat you like family. Big fan, will certainly use again and continue to recommend to everyone I know.

Mitchell Home Inspections was a true blessing! As a single, first time home buyer, with little to no knowledge of a house's infrastructure and inner workings, I was completely dreading the home inspection process. But, from the very first contact, Mitch Brown put my mind at ease and continued to do so throughout the entire process. During the inspection, Mitch and Jim were both professional, personable, and patient. They were very knowledgeable, but didn't talk down to me. They took time to answer all of my questions and concerns, and yet were still able to complete the inspection in a short amount of time. The report Mitch sent to me the very next day was so detailed and organized, even I was able to understand it. The critical items were highlighted in red, so my realtor and I were able to easily and quickly determine what to ask the seller to fix before settlement. We couldn't have been happier. We arrived 10 minutes early and Mitch was already working. He stopped, introduced himself, and we discussed what was going to happen and what our goals were for the inspection. Throughout the inspection I was in Mitch's hip pocket asking questions and pointing things out that caught my eye. Mitch answered every one of my questions and explained everything that we found. Mitch provided a detailed and in depth report of the house less than 24 hours after the inspection was complete. This was the 6th time that I have been involved with a home inspection, either as a buyer or a seller, and I was very impressed with the service provided by Mitchell Home Inspections.

Mitch Brown was able to accommodate my tight schedule for a whole-house inspection to identify any defects or issues in my home prior to selling it in the near future. He arrived promptly, was very courteous and respectful of my home, and took a detailed look at all aspects of my property, inside and out. Since there was time in my schedule, he pointed out and explained as many items as necessary and made helpful suggestions on what items I could take care of myself, as well as answering all the questions I had. Once the inspection was done, he very promptly emailed me an EXTREMELY detailed and well-organized report containing numerous pictures and written comments and explanations for various items - pointing out both good AND bad. Any major items were clearly marked in RED font and provided in a separate section of the report for easy reference, as well as showing up in the body of the report according to what section of the property they were located. This document will serve as a very detailed punch-list for a contractor to follow. The price (based on property size) with a military discount was a nice bonus at the end! Short story is that if you're buying a home, you're lucky if you're able to book Mitchell Home Inspections for the job. These guys stay busy for a good reason. Now for the long story. First off, if you check my review history, you'll note that I tell it like it is. I'm a pretty tough grader and I'm currently on my fourth property in the past few years, so I know a thing or two about home inspections. The inspector on the last home I bought missed three major items that were not up to code, and which I only identified after we moved into the house. That mistake cost me over $10,000. Had I used Mitchell Home Inspection, I'm certain that all those issues would have been caught. I decided to use Mitchell Home Inspections after calling every Home Inspection company with a rating higher than three stars. Price is pretty important to me, but after the problems I encountered on my last purchase, I learned the hard way that value is more important than lowest price. Mitchell Home Inspections wasn't the least expensive, but they weren't the most expensive either. Two of the other inspection companies I called weren't able to conduct the inspection on the date I needed it done, and both of the other companies included Mitchell Home Inspection on their list of companies that they would trust. What sealed the deal though was when I called an inspector who was no longer working in the area. He informed me that he had moved out of state, but said that if he was buying a home and needed an inspector, Mitchell Home Inspections was who he would go with. From my perspective, when a guy with no dog in the fight makes a recommendation, it seemed to me that the recommendation was probably the one to go with. I'm glad I listened to my instincts. The day of the inspection Mitch and Jim showed up to perform the inspection. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and it was apparent that they both knew exactly what they were doing. The inspection took a little while, but that was mainly due to the size of the house and the number of different systems that had to be reviewed. They took pictures of every issue, and also took the time to explain how the systems worked, and the concerns that they identified. The inspection report was issued the next morning and included all the pictures, and a detailed write up of each and every issue that was identified. After the inspection concluded, Mitch was available to answer any questions I had about any issue related to the inspection. Moreover, after the seller represented that all the issues were addressed and after all the invoices were provided, Mitch made himself available during the pre-settlement walkthrough to go over all the punchlist items that were identified. The fee he charged for the additional visit was very reasonable, and well worth it since not all the issues were completed/fixed to code. So like I said at the beginning, long story short, if you're buying a home, the first person you should call is Mitch at Mitchell Home Inspection. Consider yourself lucky if he's got availability to perform your inspection because these gentlemen stay busy for a reason.

I chose Mitch Home Inspections to do a home inspection on my new home based on other user testimonials online and after I spoke with Mitch. Mitch was very professional, very friendly, and very THOROUGH!!!! During the inspection, he took time to explain everything he was inspecting and gave me tips on routine maintenance. He also answered and expanded on all of the questions I had. Mitch took a lot of pictures and explained his findings to me in detail. I received a PDF copy of his findings the very next day. I will absolutely be using him again!

I had Mitch come out to the home for inspection. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to deal with. Very thorough in his inspection and tells you exactly what problems are present.

Mitch and Jim were outstanding! First, when we reached out via email to seek an understanding of their services and associated cost, they were very responsive - and this was over the Holidays! We also requested a phone call with them in advance of the inspection, and they were available and welcomed the discussion. For the home inspection itself, they arrived slightly ahead of time, and were prepared to begin as soon as we arrived. They welcomed our presence and answered every question we had. The report was provided before the promised time and was excellent - including photos throughout the home and critical items necessitating correction noted in red. As Radon testing requires 48 hours, they setup the equipment during the home inspection, then returned to collect it and provided the supplemental report within hours. They are an incredible team. Very knowledgeable and professional. We would use them again, and highly recommend them for any home inspection need.

Mitch and Jim were super courteous, encouraged us to ask questions, and were incredibly thorough in their inspection. They arrived early to start up the HVAC system and had already put in a radon test a few days prior so that we would know the results on the day of the inspection. We very much appreciated the time and care they put forth into the inspection and would highly recommend them to family and friends.
