Steve Heidler recommended replacing the polybutylene pipes with Wirsbo PEX tubing running through the attic. He assured me that it will withstand freezing without bursting. The plumbers had to cut into the drywall in order to connect the tubing to fixtures. The cost included having a drywall man patching the holes and applying primer to them. 6 months after the job was done, I decided to inspect the tubing in the attic. I didn't do it earlier as it was hot in the attic. I found that the tubing was placed over the sprinkler pipes and gas pipes. I complained about this to Steve, and he sent his plumbers back to reposition the tubing so it would go under the sprinkler and gas pipes. This will ensure that water in the tubing will not freeze in winter. There was no additional charge for this job.

After a previous great experience with Heidler, we called them in to give us an estimate to relocate the drain lines in our basement bath so we could rebuild it. Steve Heidler came out, and helped us figure out the best way to set up the bathroom. He provided us with a great estimate for that part of the project, as well as such good prices on doing the supply rough-in and trim setting, that we took him up on all three parts. The guys that came out for the work were really great, and took the time to show me how they were doing everything, and I learned quite a bit (I'll still leave plumbing to the professionals though). They moved the drain lines for the shower, sink, and toilet, and then poured cement in over the holes in the slab. Once we finished framing everything out, they returned and did the supply rough in. After we then finished the drywall, tiling, and floors, they came back and hooked everything up. The same plumber came out each time, so I didn't have to explain the project each time. These guys will be my plumber of choice as long as I am in this area.

At first, I was a little frustrated. When I called, I explained that I needed some waste lines replaced. I asked for someone to come out and check out what was needed but I was told that they could go ahead and do the job the same day that they came out. I explained that there may be some difficulties in getting done what needed to be done but I was assured that the work could be done that day. I set up an appointment for Monday afternoon and planned to be home from work. I was called ahead of time and was told the crew was on the way. I appreciated the call and also appreciated that they came when I was told. Immediately upon looking at the job, I was told that it was a more extensive job than they were led to believe. I explained that I tried to give a heads up but I was assured it could be done that day. After reviewing everything, I was told that the job would take 5-6 hours and that it would be best if they rescheduled so that they wouldn't be at the house until 6:00 or 7:00 in the evening. I personally wasn't concerned but I'm sure they didn't want to stay out late. I reluctantly agreed to reschedule for later in the week. Meanwhile, I had already removed storage units, supplies, etc. in order to allow access to the plumbing. Now, I had to put it all back so that we could function until they returned and then would have to remove it all again. They did give me a quote and it was right in line with what I expected. They were able to reschedule on the following Friday. I was concerned about the fact that now a new team was coming and they may not know what was decided. I was assured that the team coming was top notch and that it would be a problem. When Tim arrived, the first thing he said was that the job was more extensive than what he was led to believe! However, Tim did not seem phased and went right to work. Tim explained that he had been with the company for nearly 30 years and it was evident in the quality of his work and professionalism. Within hours, our plumbing was replaced and working great! Tim and his helper, Levin, were great to have here and they went above and beyond. We are very happy with the work and will gladly use Heidler again.

They got it fixed, and also fixed an outside faucet so it wouldn’t freeze in the winter. They were very prompt in getting back with me. I really appreciated that, as well. They used a type of pipe that is very strong – it doesn’t break like PVC. I was impressed with that.

First trip, showed up late due to an emergency they had to take care of. Did not impact the water proofing crew so no worries, would have been nice to be giving a heads up though. Super fast in getting the work completed. Second trip on time and quick Third trip, came out to re-attach and realized no studs to re-attach so waiting to complete that when remodeling is completed. Overall very courteous talking to the office and scheduling. Steve is excellent when discussing options.

On time arrival, on target materials and installation and price.

Will from Heidler arrived promptly and we discussed the repairs. He very quickly solved the leak, corroded valve and water heater inspection. After that he replaced the leaking hose bib with a new one and installed a new water shut off valve in the house. Will's work was efficient, informative and professional. No one likes to have a plumbing problem but if one does, Heidler is the company to call.

They did a good job. The technicians and the work they did, we were happy with. The technicians were highly trained and qualified.

Clogged kitchen sink, after several attempts to de-clog it ourselves we knew it was bigger than what we could do. I went on Angie's list to find someone close to our area who had a decent reputation. Heidler's Inc was close in Annapolis. We had called them on Saturday but due to a large ($149.00) sir charge decided not to have them come out on Saturday. The tech I spoke with on Saturday asked if I would be willing to re-call on Monday so they can send the closest tech to our area, I had no problem with that. On Monday morning I received a call from Heidler's asking if I still needed help. I had already asked my husband to call them but they were a bit faster than he was so it was an easy hook up for us. The service tech was to be out between 10-12 and he showed up at 1100. He was very kind, courteous and factual with my husband. The tech (Fernando Coshos) was very pleasant and did a great job. He had to use over 35 foot of snake and a large one at that to clear 3 major clogs in our line. After about one and half hour he broke through. He gave us good advice to help keep the lines clean and offered us advice on what not to use. He also offered us a service contract but we were unable to afford that at this present time. He finished his work and cleaned up after himself. This is not our house but my mother's who I am caring for as she is 89 and has Alzheimer's so Dave (hubby) and I have to foot the bill as she is on a limited income and most her money goes to a caregiver so I can work. Overall a very pleasant experience unfortunately it was a little costly for us but we do have to take care of mom...LOL I would highly recommend this company to my neighbors.

This was an excellent experience: The person on the phone was very capable and was able to send somebody about an hour later. The plumber was very professional : he had to remove the toilet and snake down the pipe in an apartment covered with white carpet. He did so without wasting time and in such a way that there is no trace of him and his heavy equipment ever being here. I highly recommend this company.

I have found the plumbers to be prompt and professional, in almost every circumstance. Neat and tidy. The company has serviced the house about 6 times in a year and provided two annual inspections.

Excellent work performed efficiently and professionally. Technicians were obviously extremely knowledgable and performed the work in less time than anticipated. Results are perfect. We highly recommend this company. Subsequently, we called them back for an different and more complicated problem which they fixed just as well and as efficiently.

The management company and the owner of the unit below, rightfully, could not agree on financial responsibility. Much to my dismay, after many days .the reason for the extensive water damage was finally known - a tiny pin-hole leaking pipe was from MY unit and some how traveling oddly to the unit below me! Why did it take so long? Because there were no pipes extending from above that could be easily seen i! So, when the source was being further investigated Heidler's workers could not come back; since no one intended to pay them. Days later, as the leak re-appeared, a contractor located the source by cutting into the tiles in my bath tub wall. Fortunately, I fou,,nd a new great plumber, who came and did the plumbing repair. It is a complicated condo situation. The costs have escalated for me; because no one knew where or how the strange convoluted layout of pipes traveled behind the walls! It took a construction company to locate the problem. I give Heidler high praise for always responding promptly to questions, especially the woman at the phone, who had to deal with 3 separate entities! She and her boss were very reasonable and were able to compromise on the bill. In a difficult situation; they remained professional in manner and reasonable in resolving billing issues. My suggestion - do NOT get involved with old condo buildings in Maryland, where our Legislature passed a law in 2009 making owners responsible for pipes in the walls. Always insist on the right to have access to engineering blueprints, if you are in a condo.

Had our old 50 natural gas gallon tank replaced with a new tankless hot water heater. Installers did a great job working in the tight space to remove the old unit and run new plumbing and exhaust lines to the new unit. They had a leak in a new water line midway though the install that soaked some of the carpet in the next room, but they fixed the leak and cleaned up the mess without an issue. The team was prompt, neat and polite. The new tankless hot water heater works great! We have used Heidler before for other jobs and will definitely use them again.

Arrived on time; diagnosed the cause of a leaking toilet; Went to purchase a gasket required; rebuilt inner mechanism. Worked efficiently; clean; courteous; finished in about 1 hr.

The Roto-rooter: excellent. Used the proper equipment, cut through the root masses left by another incompetant provider, located features in the pipe. Excavation: excellent, installed 2 exterior cleanouts. actually did the work eariler than quoted since we were in an emergency sewer situation. They had to hand dig in very difficult conditions. EXCELLENT workmanship, Great PRICE, RESPONSIVE.

All went well. I was quite upset when the accident happened but Tim and his assistant were polite and professional and solved the problem quickly and well. While the price was fairly high I was happy to pay it for prompt and competent service. Nothing is saved if the less expensive guy doesn't know what he's doing.

Received an estimate by email ahead of time, repair team arrived on time, work was done professionally and promptly, team was courteous, clean and helpful. Price was as estimated. Could not have asked for more.

They fixed it in one day. I liked the fact that I called them in Annapolis and they have special leaking equipment and they were working on another building site. These people kept me abreast of when they could get a crew here and got a guy out right away and he came back the next day with another guy. They had to dig down about 6 feet. The hole was so big the guy was up to his head in mud. I had a good response with them coming out. They were here at 8:00am in the morning and were telling me what they were doing. I had a good response with the office. They took care of everything with the county so I didn't have to get any permits. They submitted all the digital camera work that they had to take for the county and had that all approved.

They gave us a reasonable estimate and got the job done when and as promised. They went over and above by replacing some of our other water pipes that were leaking without any extra charge. They were professional, reasonable, and efficient. They are now my favorite plumbing company.

I am really impressed with Heidler. Everyone with whom I spoke, including the staff who answer the phones and who answer their emergency/after hours line, are polite, friendly, professional, and helpful. Tim and Fernando spent a solid hour taking the time to properly diagnose my problem before writing an estimate, and this was without obligation on my part. Their pricing was very competitive, and when they came out to do the work today, everything went well. They were on time, were very considerate of my property, and this job involved removing part of my fence and using a backhoe, yet when they were done, it almost looked like nothing had happened, they were that good at putting things back in order. Tim called me out to see everything as the work progressed, the men worked quickly, and they gave me the information I will need to give to the county utilities people who will need to come out and repair another part of the line. I cannot speak highly enough about this company.

When my water heater stopped heating, I tried relighting the pilot. I decided that the thermocouple needed replacement because the pilot would not stay lit, a typical symptom of a dead thermocouple. However, since the water heater was 10 years old, and it only had a six year warranty, I decided to replace it. (10 years is a typical life for a water heater.) I have used Heidler for plumbing services in the past, and was always pleased with the results, but was curious about how other customers might rate them on Angie's list. After researching Heidler and several other local plumbers, I called to get quotes for a new water heater. Heidler's price was a little higher than the local gas & electric company, but they said they could install a new water heater the same day. The gas & electric company also had "A" ratings on Angie's list, but wanted $50 extra to come out the same day. Heidler still had price premium above the $50 difference, but Heidler's price included any repiping work that might be needed. The gas & electric company told me that any repiping would be an extra charge, which would have negated the price difference. In addition, Heidler had a better 10 year warranty that included the tank, parts AND labor. Most other warrantys are 6/6/1 or 10/10/1 for tank/parts/labor. Heidler is a local, family operated business. They have done well for me over the past 20 years, so I decided to have them do the work. I had not decided on the warranty at that point, I spoke with two different receptionists, as well as Steve Heidler, one of the two brothers who co-own and operate the company. Steve gave me the quotes and answered all of my questions to help me select a size, model and warranty. Everyone I spoke with was cheerful, courteous and helpful. I made the decision shortly before noon, and the service technician was here by 1:30 or so. Will was friendly, courteous and professional. He got to work immediately, drained the tank while "deplumbing" the gas and water lines, brought in the new tank, and prepared for the new installation. He removed the old tank, moved the new one in and hooked it up efficiently. He explained operation and maintenance of the new system, and answered all of my questions clearly. The new county code requires an expansion tank to prevent water expansion from putting back pressure on the water line, so he installed one above the tank. After cleanup we discussed the extended warranty (ten vs six years). Unlike electronics where an extended warranty is usually not worth the extra cost because electronics typically have very low failure rates, I decided to purchase the extended warranty. The extra cost was less than two estimated repairs, assuming that the thermopile would be the most likely failure item. Also, Will explained that the warranty can be transferred to a future owner. That sold me. All work was completed in under 2-1/2 hours. Will was great, as have been all of the other service techs that have worked for us in the past. I would definitely recommend Heidler for water heaters, and plumbing in general.

The service was prompt and they did good work but I was not a fan of there pricing policies. You have to pay $70 for a service call and this is just to have them come out anything they do is additional, I assumed the $70 would be subtracted from any work completed and I was wrong. They have preset pricing for any work done so a garbage disposal replacement was roughly 400 and hose bib replacemnt was roughly $200 and repack hose bib was $100. If a job has an issue I guess the preset pricing would save you money but in my case the garbage disposal took about an hour but the hose bib replacement took 20 minutes and it took him less than 5 minutes to repack the hose bib. In short they did good work but be aware of $70 upfront for the visit and high preset pricing.

I needed extra heat in two rooms. Mr H came out and gave me some really great ideas. It only took a week to schedule the job. The workers came out on time and did an excellent job. All was completed and cleaned up by the end of the day. I was very pleased.
