Description of Work: Checked out malfunctioning burner on cooktop; fixed it. Checked malfunctioning cycle in dishwasher. Identified problem with hot water flow and showed us how to make it work properly. Repairman was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful. Office staff who scheduled appointment was pleasant and efficient. I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I called Appliance Guys when my washing machine stopped working. They were very responsive and quickly made an appointment to come to my home, after asking questions about the problem. Before they came out, the owner called me back to say that, based on my description of the problem, it sounded as though the washing machine might be non-repairable. He asked if I still wanted them to come out, since if they weren't able to repair it I would still be charged a service call of $89. I appreciated his honesty and asked that they come out anyway and give me an assessment of the situation. On the day of the appointment I received several status calls, letting me know approximate arrival time of the repair person. Although my machine turned out to be a "goner", I liked this company's professionalism and honesty and I would certainly use them again.

+ -1 moreCame promptly and assessed the cause of the refrigerator freezer not maintaining its temperature. Said that the compressor was not working and did not recommend repairing ( estimated cost $500)as a replacement was available at a reasonable price.. Charged me for the service call. Fortunately I had called a different appliance repair service earlier- (Ultimate- on Angies list), who called back later in the day and suggested that based on what I described that it was repairable at a fair price. Followed up with Ultimate and problem was not the compressor- but a leak that was repaired. I discovered that the original repair man should have performed some additional diagnostic tests to actually determine the cause of the problem.
Description of Work: Assessed refrigerator and determined that the compressor system was not operating.

+ -1 moreI called the Appliance Doctors (good rating on Angies List and they referred me to Appliance Guys. Turns out Mr. Lebow worked for them and helped make their good reputation and decided to start his own company. He came when he said, diagnosed the problem, had to order parts from the company and came back on time/date specified, and installed the part. Only one charge for service/labor call although he came twice and I live 20 miles out in the country. very professional, efficient and reasonable labor charges. I would use him again for any large appliance repair, consider him both good and trustworthy.
Description of Work: My new dishwasher 15 mos) could not be turned on start of wash cycle but otherwise would run through the middle and dry cycles. Sears Kenmore appliance but Sears wanted $160 just to come for the diagnosis and several other companies did not want to visit a farm home 20 miles outside of town. Several local handyman (but not dishwasher repairmen) could not identify the problem. The diagnosis was electronic computer control panel was faulty and needed replacement. Mr. Lebow diagnosed problem correctly and made the repair the same week.
