When a home inspector discovered a crack in our basement wall, the wall repair company asked that the grounding wire be moved, as it was too close to the crack for them to work. We had used Loughlin Electric on an earlier occasion and called them first. We had thought he would have to move it temporarily and after the wall repair would have to move it back, but he moved and anchored it in a new permanent position so only one visit was needed. He arrived on time, explained everything to us, cleaned up afterwards and charged us a very reasonable fee. We called him a second time about replacing some smoke detectors for us, and when he did some checking, determined that he really couldn't do the job. He drove out to our house to tell us that in person, rather than call and leave a voicemail, which I thought was extremely courteous. I'd recommend him to anyone, knowing he will be completely honest with them.

Brian and Josh arrived on time and reviewed the work to be completed. They were very friendly and even agreed to do an ad hoc outlet job that wasn't in the original estimate. They completed the work efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. I noticed that one of the light switches that we provided stuck a lot and was difficult to turn on, Bryan said that he had another switch in his truck. He swapped it with the faulty switch and they were on their way. I was very pleased with their work and will definitely hire them again for future electrical work in my house.

I recently purchased my first home and wanted some recessed lighting installed and a few odds/ends electrical work done. Jim came by the day after we moved in and let us know he'd have a quote for us the next day and work was scheduled the following day. We had 5 recessed lights installed in our family room and a thermostat moved from the center of a wall to the edge of a wall so my wife could properly hang a picture. Bryan was our technician and was super polite and efficient and total cost came in slightly under what was quoted. We have future projects planned and will without a doubt call Loughlin Electric again!

Excellent service from Bryan who arrived on time and immediately put cloth covers over his shoes. He was efficient and professional in his work and cleaned up any small amounts of dust when he left. He also advised me of the cost of the dimmer switch before he replaced it. He also made sure we had the smoke detector user guide which was appreciated as I had forgotten to ask him to leave one. Bryan completed the work in less than an hour. We will definitely use Loughlin Electric again should we have a need. The price did include the 5% first time Angie's list customer discount.

My Air Conditioner had failed. Electrician responded and fixed the problem 1 hour after I had requested service. Very professional with great communication skills.

Both my wife and I do a lot of work from home requiring our internet connection, so we needed the problem resolved quickly. Jim was there within an hour of my phone call! Fantastic. He quickly identified the root cause of the problem and made the necessary repairs. He explained everything thoroughly on the phone to me as I was at the office at the time. Breakdown of bill was $72 for proper re-sealing outdoor outlets, $59 for GFI replacement, and $89 for Service/Travel Fee.

After being refused scheduling of an urgent appointment by another highly rated company on AngiesList (one of my outlets had completely melted and it smelled like it might be burning in the walls - so much for their emergency service offer!!) I decided to call Loughlin which had a lower total number of ratings, but what was there looked promising. A young lady answered my call immediately and said someone was in the next town over and would be there in about 2 hours. Promising start. Then I stepped into the shower and the phone rang again. Dripping, I step out and find it was the same young lady, who was calling back to let me know that she forgot to mention it, but just to come to the house and look would be $79. Uh oh, cue sinking feeling. Fast forward 90 minutes and Bryan from Loughlin arrives, and immediately begins investigating the charred remains of my electrical outlet. He is thorough, polite, and even puts on some little booties on his shoes so as to not track in dirt (this is obviously very unnecessary in my house but its appreciated nonetheless). He replaced and tested the new socket, and vacuumed up and disposed of the charred plastic and pieces of the old outlet and cover. He went over the likely cause of the meltdown with me, and tested and inspected another outlet on the circuit that I was concerned might be related. I was very very pleased with his work. I do feel like the company should provide him a headlamp since he was using his phone's LED as a flashlight. Maybe they do and he just doesn't like to carry it compared to the convenience of a phone. Just thought I'd mention it. Overall very pleased, they were very responsive and courteous, despite rattling me a little at the beginning with the diagnostic fee, I'm glad I called Loughlin and would definitely do so again.

Selling our house. Had a home inspection tomorrow. Tested my smoke detectors and found that they were not working. Called Laughlin Electric at 8 AM and told them the problem. They had a electrician here at 9:20 AM and by 10 AM he had replaced all of them with combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Work was done professionally and in a timely manner. I was pleasantly surprised how everything went so smoothly.

The electrician was punctual, courteous, and helpful. He explained everything thoroughly. We asked him about some other work we were thinking about getting done, and he was very helpful with that as well. I have absolutely no complaints and will continue to use Loughlin Electric in the future.

The service tech was at our house within 30 minutes on a Saturday! He was friendly, professional and explained exactly what had caused our problem. He had us back on line within minutes and wouldn't even charge us. We will definitely use this company again for any electrical problems or needs!

The service was good. They were here quickly and were contentious about putting things back where they were. They were friendly. I was pleased with them.

He seemed professional but the pricing came in higher than we anticipated. We ended up looking for someone else.
