They showed up exactly when they said they would. They walked me through my options (I saved a couple hundred dollars by doing something differently). The work was done exactly like I wanted. They cleaned up and were out of here pretty quickly. I am going to use them again soon for another room, and would recommend them to anyone I know that needs electrical work done.

Everything is fine. The technician was here when I was told he would be. He covered his shoes when in the house. Everything was cleaned up. He was here less than 1/2 hour.

Professional, prompt, and efficient.

When I signed up with the Co. I was told there was an initial fee just to walk in the door. The woman I spoke with almost made it sound like that fee was included if Loughlin did the work. IT WAS NOT. I paid well over $200. for less about an hours work and almost no supplies. They did come that day so that is a plus but for those outrageous prices they probably don't get much work so can respond quickly. I would NOT rehire.

Ken came out to do an estimate for our project. He was able to put me on the schedule quickly and showed up when he said he would. He was very helpful during our walk-through and had some great ideas. He seemed very competent and thorough. Unfortunately our job is a little more than they can handle right now, but I appreciate his honesty, rather than taking on more than they can do and causing other project delays or problems.

My main issue is with how they make you pay a significant amount to come out for an estimate which can then be applied to the cost of the job. The problem was that the estimate was twice what it had cost to do the EXACT same thing in another bathroom. I had no problems with the actual work done, just with the cost.

Great, took a while to run the wires but nothing out of the ordinary.

I was so happy with the entire experience. Starting with the initial phone call (to inquire and eventually book the appointment) to the price. Paul was a true professional and I appreciated his honesty when reviewing options and not over selling a service that wasn't needed.

The family membership provides us with a discount, which we weren't sure that we'd need in the future, but surprises happen.

They seem excellent. They have been really terrific. I had just moved into a place and didn’t know what issues there were. They did a great job. They went around and tested all of the light fixtures, all of the outlets, and the wiring in the basement.

Loughlin Electric gets a superior rating from us. Across the board, from the telephone contacts in their office to the workers' on the property, the level of professionalism and attention to our requests was outstanding.

Loughlin made an appointment for only a few days after we called them, arrived on time, explained clearly what the cost would be, did the work very well, and cleaned up after themselves. Their prices were somewhat high, but it was worth it to have the job done right with no hassles.

The work was done well, they came out the same day and were on time. My problem is with the pricing. I knew they charged a $59 service fee just to come and look, all repair type services do that. But in my experience that service fee is applied to the overall cost of the repair is you have it done. Not with them. It was charged on top of a charge of $209 for replacing the breaker which took about 15 minutes. I could buy a breaker for $40 in the store so I am sure it is cheaper for them. But even if it was $40 that means the labor was $169 for 15minutes of work. So they basically charge $675 per hour for labor.

This review is to highlight the fantastic professionalism I experienced with Loughlin Electric Company. In seeking out an electrician to rewire a complicated light fixture, Jim Loughlin responded to my request via email. No other companies that I contacted took the time to answer my queries or seek additional information regarding my needs. However, Jim Loughlin did take time and on a Sunday via email. Not only did he ask how he could help, he went on to provide additional resources for my specific lighting situation. Jim Loughlin was knowledgeable, resourceful and went above and beyond providing me with exceptional customer service without having ever met me or asking for any type of consulting fee. In addition, on Monday morning, I received a call from his partner, who was making sure someone had contacted me from Loughlin Electric Inc. I was blown away. I have been acting as my own General Contractor working on a complete house renovation dealing with and hiring sub contractors. This company and the employees are way above the standard. They are exceptional in their responsiveness, knowledge base and overall customer service. I plan to hire them for a basement remodel soon feeling confident that I am hiring the right people for my project. No other company that I have ever dealt with has been as outstanding in delivery of customer services via email and phone conversations for a fantastic start. Awesome.

I found Loughlin Electric on Angie's List. Based on the good reviews I asked them to do an estimate on installing a charger for my electric car. I decided to have a dedicated electric service set up for the car so that I could avoid putting more load on my existing electrical panel and so that I could track costs. Accordingly Loughlin created an estimate for installing facilities for an second electric meter, running a 100 Amp 240 Volt cable through the home to the charger, and installing the charger itself. They also included a couple of small additional tasks (adding an outlet, etc.) that I needed done. Loughlin's estimate seemed reasonable so I agreed a date (Monday, 9/14/2015) with Ken Assad. He promised the crew would arrive between 8-8:30AM. I arranged a vacation day from work and spent the night before moving furniture, emptying a crawl space, etc., so that the electricians could work. At 7:45AM on the 14th they called and said the crew would be arriving between 10 and 11AM. A team of 3 finally arrived at 1PM. They messed around for about 15 minutes, then two of the three electricians climbed back into their trucks and left the third to tell me that they couldn't do the job because, "they didn't have the right stuff." I asked what this meant and basically got a shrug. I asked if they could at least do the small additional tasks, he flatly refused. I asked him, "What happens next? Can you do the job tomorrow?" and he replied, "we'll give you a call some time." Then they left. I called Loughlin and the person I spoke to said she'd text the owner. I never received a call back. In fact, I didn't hear anything more until an email came on Friday. The email basically said, "if you give me a call maybe we can try again." The following Monday Ken Assad did call from Loughlin but by then I had decided to go with another contractor. The whole experience was very weird and frustrating. I understand that things happen and sometimes workers end up running late but this was a fairly major job that needed the full day. I found the whole, "we don't have the right stuff" business to be decidedly unprofessional. In the end, though, what soured me on Loughlin was that it was impossible to reach anyone who could help me when the job went wrong. I feel that they should have called me to work something out before directing their crew to leave. I took a vacation day and went to considerable effort to prepare my house so Loughlin's team could work. When they drove away they forced me to put everything back, then take another vacation day and do the same preparation again for the electricians who actually did the job. There was never any sense that Loughlin was upset that they failed, that they wanted to make things right, or that they wanted my business. Their attitude was, "if you want to roll the dice again, we might be willing to let you." Rodenhiser Plumbing, Heating, A/C, & Electric ended up installing my car charger. They showed up when they promised and did a fine job. Best of all, they were always reachable by phone and email throughout the process.

Courteous and prompt. Excellent work. Clean and left nothing behind. Will be booking again.

Great service from a professional in every way!

I contacted Loughlin Electric through Angies list and was called very soon afterwards. Brian was sent over to look at the work we wanted done and gave an estimate. We had a lot of little electrical issues that needed to be resolved and they were piling up. He started on the repairs as soon as I agreed and the whole thing was done that day. He had another worker join him. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased and will use them again!!!

A quick inspection for possible water damage hazard. None found. I had another contractor take care of the leak.
