Very proffesonal, came on time,replaced element cleaned up. Gave advice on other appliances, offered to advise over the phone if we wanted to buy other appliances. Very nice gentleman.

I am very impressed with this provider. As he came in , he warned us of a large bee nest in out tree next to the walk way. He did not have to do that at all, but went out of his way to give us this information. His service was excellent, He cleaned and repair clogged upper and lower water arms. I could not believe the amount of material that was preventing the washer to clean. We rinse our dishes before we put them in anyway. He also gave us good information about the history of our dishwasher and that felt very reassuring. I highly recommend him .

James called back within two hours detailing what appeared to be the probable fix (you never with electronic parts). He provided the cost of the parts and labor, and also that there may be other issues as well. With the cost of the repair and the age of the oven he suggested that we may want to look at replacing the oven with a new model. He suggested GE for their reliability, availability of repair parts and cost to repair. We are currently shopping for a new oven. James could have just come out and charged us for a service call but instead he was up front and did some leg work beforehand to save us the extra money.

They were fine. They came in got the job done quick.

He was very good. He was a nice guy. He came when he said he was going to come. He did what he said he was going to do. He did not over charge me. I was happy with the service. I really don’t have complains about the price but I wish it could have been cheaper. It was a fair price.

I called James Monroe this morning at 8:00 and he was here at around 10:15, since he was in the area. When I called he asked me some questions to triage the problem - the motor or a belt. When he arrived, I showed where the machine was and he fixed it in about 10 minutes and then told me that the machines (washer and dryer) are in very good shape and will last me several more years. I was very happy with the service and expertise and will definitely use him if I need any further for any of my appliances.

From the moment he answered the phone until the job was completed, James was a pleasure to deal with. Our refrigerator was not cooling and the freezer had frosted over the cooling coils. James was at our house within 2 hours of my call and had the unit working in less than an hour. He was meticulously in keeping everything dry as he thawed out the freezer. Great job.

My refrigerator was not cooling food in the cooler section (freezer was working). Realized it in the morning. Spoke to Jim at 10:00 a.m. and he made an appointmnet to come to my home between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. the same day. He arrived promptly and went right to work. Identified the problem quickly. He had the parts he needed (defroster thermostat) with him. He had to defrost the block of ice that had formed in the freezer section, and did that, Then he tested the components that could be causing the probloem. Replaced the defective part, and put everything back into the freezer he'd removed to make the repairs. He waited until the defroster had run through a complete cycle to be sure everything was working. The entire process took just about an hour. He was courteous, friendly and knowledgable and his price was quite reasonable....especially since I didn't have to throw out the food in the fridge as I would have had to do given that two other companies I called wanted to make an appointment in a day or two. Saving the food saved me more than $100.00. I highly recommend this comany and Jim Monroe, the owner. This is who I will call for all future appliance repair needs and I recommendd them highly. I also checked and he has an A plus rating with the BBB. I am new to Worcester, having bought my home here a year ago, so I am just learning what companies to hire and trust for various home repair needs. . I am glad to have found such a competent appliance repair expert.

It was a very professional service call. James was on time and very efficient He took his time to repair the dishwasher and stayed to run it numerous times to insure that it was working properly. I would definately recommend him and I would certainly use him again! He was also willing to share his knowledge of appliances to guide me in future purchases of large appliances.

I called J and M and they were not able to provide service that day. They in turn recommended another contractor to help out. The second guy can same day and was able to assess the issue. I thought t was professional to refer the customer to another resource.

I called JM Appliance in the morning and they cam ato assist me the very same day later in the afternoon. Service was quick, efficient, and professional. I would strongly recommend and not hesitate to use them in the future if needed!

Great, he listened to my problem, explained what he thought caused it, explained what part he needed to replace, then corrected fixed the oven.

The first time I called Jamie was in 2007. I had just bought a small Westinghouse refrigerator for a little studio apartment I had created out of a large walk-out basement room. I was injured so couldn't look behind it to see a model number, so he had me describe a few things about it, then said, "I think I know what's wrong." He was here the next morning and not only did I learn a lot about how refrigerators work, he did a simple fix on this new machine. I said, "While you're here, let me just ask you something about my washing machine," mainly to see if I should just junk it or if this 1984 Maytag washing machine was worth saving. It wasn't spinning well and towels were coming out too damp. He said if the problem was as simple as he thought it was, he could fix it then if he had the right fan belt in his truck. He tipped the machine, went to his truck, and in a very short time had my old Maytag working again. He also told me to keep it as long as I can, because the old Maytags live forever because they don't have many parts to break. Once I called about my 1993 G.E. oven, and I described what color the knobs were, where they were, etc. He knew the machine and came a couple of days later with the right part to fix whatever was wrong. Same thing with my refrigerator from 1993, for which he replaced the thermometer a few years ago. In October, when he came to fix my dryer, I asked him about some molding on the outside of my fridge. He told me that it would not be worth the cost of resealing the doors on the fridge, and I should keep using it until the thermometers show that it isn't keeping the proper temperature. Then I should replace it with an energy efficient model and buy it from a company that will remove the old one. He told me a brand and types of refrigerators that would be most efficient and need the fewest repairs! Jamie is always a delight to work with. He is friendly, is eager to explain things to his customers (and I'm interested), and emphasizes that his goal is to have satisfied customers. He knows his appliances inside and out, backwards and forwards, and I totally trust his honesty and integrity. He is a true craftsman. I wish I could tell everyone in Central Massachusetts that he's the man to call if you have any questions or problems with a large appliance. He knows his stuff.

I called and left a message. He called me back and I explained my problem. He was very responsive; came over the next day. Was here about an hour and a half or so; and the problem was resolved. He was very helpful with his suggestions regarding front loading washers. I will definitely call him when my other appliances need attention.

I bought a used washer and dryer on Craigslist and though I verified that they "worked" before I took them home, when I hooked them up, I found that both had serious operational issues. I called James and he came out to diagnose whether they were fixable. Rather than just charge me to fix everything, he advised me that the washer wasn't worth fixing, but the dryer had a broken heating element, which could be replaced. Ultimately, I would up scrapping both of them and buying new ones, but I really appreciated his advice. I would happily use him again for any of my appliance repairs.

James called to let me know, his arrival was friendly and efficient, and replaced the switch on my washer in short order. The price was reasonable probably $50-100 use than sears.

Jamie was great. Answered his phone on the first call, said he'd do his best to get out this afternoon (he did), and had everything fixed and cleaned up in about an hour. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all my questions. I would definitely hire him again!

Jamie responded right away to my phone call, got here in less than 3 hours, worked here for about an hour, explained what was wrong, left the old part...was very friendly, efficient and best of all he fixed the refrigerator!

This is actually the 3rd time we have used Jamie for servicing a large appliance and the experience has been consistent. He returns calls in a timely manner and works hard to schedule a time that is convenient. He shows up when promised, ready to work and cleans up after himself. Before performing any repairs he explains the options and costs so you can make an informed decision. For example, our fridge is 18 years old, but in great shape and built into the cabinetry. We discussed a very expensive repair, freon recharge or total replacement and based on his experience what he would recommend always keeping cost in perspective. After weighing the options we went for the recharge and to date the fridge works great. Bonus: I like to ask questions how stuff works and Jamie was more than willing to explain what a part does or how a system works. If that sort of thing floats your boat. :-) We highly recommend Jamie. Give him a call, you wont be disappointed.

I was very happy with the professional and prompt service that I got form Jamie. He answered the phone himself and was able to get out to my house quickly. Unfortunately the piece that had broken was not available locally, otherwise I would have had the machine fixed that day. Jamie was punctual which I appreciated as I had to leave my job to come and meet him at the house. He left the laundry room as clean as he found it. He did his best to get the cheapest part as quickly as possible. He came in within $10 of his estimate which was also much appreciated. I will not hesitate to call Jamie again. I could not have been happier with the work that he performed.

.I had to have my repair work done on my refrigerator so I called J & M Appliance Service, the repairman was there within just a few hours of my call. He had to replace a mechanism in the freezer he was done in a very short time. He was very nice and easy to deal with, his rates were very very reasonable. I would call him again if the need arises I would highly recommend him.
