At this point, Jim has been out multiple times to deal with issues at my rental properties. He has always been punctual, professional, and )something that means courteous, but starts with a 'P'). He is also very informative and pro-active, explaining the issues in detail and arranging to come back free of charge when the service required a second visit before he could do anything.

James is excellent! When I first called, he spent time on the phone with me trying to diagnose the problem I was having with the burner. Jamie was professional, responsive and friendly to talk to and gave honest opinion about the issue. I now know who to call when I have a problem with appliance.

Jim was cordial and helpful on the phone. Scheduled an early appointment to look a the major issue; came on time, waited for me to arrive at the unit with no complaint. Identified and took care of the problem quickly, and gave details of what he found and justified the cost. Also offered advice on the other minor issues, and scheduled times to come back and visit those later.

It went well with Jamie, but the fridge is garbage, but not his fault. He was prompt, honest and, reasonably priced.

Great service, honest opinions on what was worth fixing (and what wasn't - sorry stove!). The repairman showed up with the replacement part for the washing machine, fixed it, cleaned some inlet filters - and now it works great. With the bad pump and old filter, it took almost 2 hrs to do a load. Now it does a great job in 40 minutes!

Very well. On time. Knowledgeable. Courteous. Prompt. Clean. Reasonable.

Excellent service, dryer was making loud noises, owner/service rep was able to replace bearings and wheels, within an hour. Friendly and helpful with questions!

EXCELLENT!. Diagnosed and solved the problem quickly and offered tips on how to maintain other appliances in the home.

Mr. Monroe was friendly, professional and attentive to what was needed. He was able to repair a clog/leak at the bottom of my older side-by-side's freezer that had been an ongoing problem. He went the extra mile (it took a while) knowing how difficult it can be to replace bisque colored appliances. Plus. the fridge was otherwise useful and matched our other kitchen appliances. I appreciated his expertise as well as the fact. that he made no attempt to convince me to purchase a new refrigerator. I felt he really worked with me on this, and that's a tremendous thing. I just today found myself in sudden need of dishwasher repair, and immediately thought of JM Appliance. I placed a call to him a and he responded a short time later. Meanwhile, I remembered that I forgot to post a review about my first experience, although I think I originally got his name from outside Angie's List. I highly recommend James Monroe of J M Appliance Service, and view him like the Cavalry at this point.

Great guy, called me back on a Saturday, quickly diagnosed the problem with our washer over the phone, and told us to save our money, because it was not worth repairing. His callback was quick, because based on the message I left, he had a sense that we'd need a new machine, and didn't want us to waste the weekend waiting for a callback. He also gave us great advice on a new machine. Doesn't get better than this, will definitely hire him the next time we need a repair person.

James is excellent! When I first called, he spent time on the phone with me trying to diagnose the problem I was having with my freezer and ice maker. He gave me several things to try in order to pin point the problem. He wanted me to do this before scheduling him to come to the house. He didn't want me to spend the money on a service call unless it was necessary. This was very considerate. I did figure out the problem later and called James again. He then researched the cost of the part and let me know before he ordered it. I went ahead with the repair. He called back whenever he said he would and came within the window he gave. While he was here, he helped me with a dishwasher issue and told me what I could do to repair it myself in order to save money. He is very honest and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

He took the time to ask what the issues were I was having and possible reasons for them. He suggested I try some things before making an appointment. I really appreciated his time on the phone and his honesty. I will definitely call him for any appliance issues I have in the future.

We trust James. He is always prompt when he comes to see us. We know he knows appliances of many brands and ages well, and will repair them as economically as possible. We count on him for information and advice, too. He is the only appliance repair company we will use. He is fair and courteous. We know he will order parts and do repairs in the way that saves us money or ensures our appliance will serve us well.

I called to see about getting my dryer repaired. Not only was James very honest by suggesting I not waste my money repairing dryer that was 20 years old, he also recommended a model and told me as much info as he could as to how to pick out a new one that I would be happy with, and wouldn't cost me a lot of money. I followed his advice, bought the new dryer, and I've been VERY happy with it. I will most definitely call him should I need anything else repaired around my house!!

James was very quick to return my initial phone message and promptly scheduled my appointment. He was running a little late the day of the appointment but called to let me know. My front load washer had stopped working and James quickly went to work looking at it and found the issue. This is my 2nd front load washer so I was expecting the worst -- but turns out it might not be as bad as I initially thought -- thanks to James work. He was able to get it working again; but did advise me the pump may need to be replaced and quoted me a reasonable cost. Though he honestly told me it might not be worth repairing as I know these washing machines have a short life span -- this having been my 2nd machine in 16 years. James is professional, polite and reasonably priced. I highly recommend him; thank you.

James was quickly able to diagnose the problem. He provided a temporary part while the real one was on order. Came back a week later to install it. On time, very pleasant, and very professional.

James amazingly answered our initial call and came over that same week on a Saturday to help us out. He cleaned out all of the "charred black" lint that had built up and gave it to us straight that the we could put some big money into our 10 year old dryer with parts and service, however he advised that we more realistically just replace the old clogged hose ourselves and let it die in it's own time. James was very forthcoming with advise on what make and models are the most reliable, and was even generous enough to answer and advise questions on our other appliances as well. I would highly recommend J M Appliance Service and will be calling him again in the future.

Went very well. Sent a message late at night, he called early the next day. We made an appointment, he was very punctual. He was very friendly but extremely professional.Would gladly use his services again, without hesitation.

James was so professional, responsive and friendly. The part was on back-order, so he put a "band-aid" on it (with no additional charge) which held us out until the part was available. Excellent service!

It turned out good. He rebalanced it a little bit. He helped me fix the problem. It's an older machine but he was able to fix it without a lot of cost upfront. He was good.

I called regarding a problem with a dishwasher. The machine is only 4 years old but based on his experience I was told not to bother to repair it but to replace it. They could have sold me parts and charged me service but instead gave me some good advice on what course of action to take. I greatly appreciate their honesty and integrity
