FEDERAL HEATING

Description of Work: We recently moved but recommended them very strongly to new owners. Aside from reliable oil delivery, there service is exceptional. We had three zones with a complex arrangement of A/C, and oil service that was converted from a heat pump. There most notable example of great service was when we had a component fail in the oil burner. We were in Aruba (got notified by a low temperature alarm in the house) and they were contacted 9 PM on a Saturday night when the outside temperature was near zero. They stayed well into the night past 1 AM and got the system working temporarily and returned the next day to replace a part. We were waiting for a big bill and it turned out this was one of the parts covered under their service contract. What more can I say.

Description of Work: I have had Federal Heat for oil delivery and service of my burner for several years. They are always polite.

Description of Work: I wanted them to move the pipe where they put the oil into the tank to a outside wall because after our addition it was in a enclosed garage. It took them over a year and three phone calls to send someone down. And the guy who came just wanted to put in a new tank and have it come out from the front of the house. When I told him no he tried to tell me my husband agreed with him, when he didn't. When I said I didn't want to do it that way he said he has to send someone else out and they would call us to make an appointment and never heard from them again, that was a year ago.

Description of Work: I am commenting on 2 separate transactions. 1stI needed my system condenser to be raised to accommodate regarding. A SALES MANAGER verbally quoted $200 and employed a sub-contractor to do the job. Not only did the sub not complete the job, but I got an intervening call fro the S. Manager stating the sub was going "to hand me an invoice, just pay it and we will straighten it out later" I paid the $400 and I got stiffed the $200. Very soon afterwards the Service Manager sent a man over for the yearly maintenance and discovered a leaky supply line (Yes, it was indeed leaking) he proceeded to replace the line and encase the line in cement (code?) The complaint I have was on the quality of the encasing job in which the cement was and is all over the floor, crumbling (did it set properly?) all for $300 over the cost of yearly maintenance. I summarily dismissed the company.

Description of Work: I've had Federal Heating as a provider for 26 years. They deliver my oil. About 15 years ago, they installed a new furnace and central air conditioning unit and also maintain both on a yearly basis. They are reliable and trustworthy and for as long as I own my house,they will be my heating and air conditioning provider.

Description of Work: they do yearly heating system check and cleaning. Come immediately if the system is not working - 2x this winter to re set the system, late sunday evening. Responsive and clean. had new hot water heater installed 6 yrs ago good advice on options and pricing for it.

Description of Work: Tested both A/C and Furnace. Added freon replaced filter and adjusted the On |Off timing on the thermostat. Ran furnace and tested for emissions. |The technicians were fantastic, clean and polite.

Description of Work: We have used Federal for a few years now to service our boiler and deliver oil. They have responded well to calls to fix things including nights and weekends. Service reps are always clean and professional. Our only complaint is their price for oil seems high compared to market. The service contract is a good value but they are 20-30 cents per gallon too high on oil delivery.
