I called Drains By James to determine how much it would cost for unclogging a sink. When I called I spoke to this lovely person who got me all set up for an appointment. To be honest, I wasn't convinced that snaking the sink would be enough. They came all the way into Boston to fix my clogged sink. I live in an old brownstone so I always worry about having any technicians that don't specialize in brownstones to make any kind of repairs. But my worries were unfounded. They arrived at the beginning of the 2-hour window I was given. 2 guys (Mark and Nick) came with a power snake and fixed my clog in 5 minutes. They were super professional too. I really thought I needed a plumber and that I might even need to replace my pipes or something. But Drains By James fixed the issue in no time flat. It's been more than a month now and everything working perfectly. My only regret is that I didn't call them sooner. I will not hesitate to call them again. For a clogged sink, they are the best. I highly recommend them.

Great service. Friendly staff. Very knowledgeable, which was a real plus with our 1927 home, since it did not have a modern sewer drain from the house. Came exactly when he said he would. Did a bit of the cleanup for us - MUCH APPRECIATED.

We had just moved into our house and drains were already backing up. We tried to fix it ourselves but could not. When they came out, I noticed they were very polite, professional and well-dressed in the way they handled themselves. They tried a couple methods and discovered the problem was due to some previous bathroom work that was done on the house before we moved in - something we had never thought of. After the problem was solved, they had no problem offering advice on how we could do a quick simple fix on another leaky pipe we had in the upstairs sink. My husband and I were impressed with the professional attitude. We would definitely hire again, and recommend.

TECHNICIAN SNAKED OUT THE CLOGGED FRONT AND BACK , HE PULLED OUT DEBRIS AND FLUSHED OUT SYSTEM

Wonderful! The company, Drains by James, Inc., was quick and responded on Labor Day weekend to a sewage backup issue. Their representative, John, pulled and reset our toilet and de-clogged the outside and inside main sewer line. The cause of the clog was tree roots, which he was able to quickly remove from the lines. He cleaned up his workspace, was polite and personable. I am completely satisfied with Drains by James, Inc. and would recommend the company to my friends and family.

My sink/garbage disposal was blocked and unusable. I tried to resolve the issue myself by using the plunger but that did not work. I called Drains by James in the morning and they were at my home that afternoon and within 30 minutes the problem was fixed. Michael was courteous, professional and got the job done. I'm very happy I have my kitchen back in working order!

They arrived early and did the job efficiently and for the advertised price. A good experience.

They did a very nice job clearing the blockage and scoping the pipe but they didn't seal two of the clean outs in the basement floor which they broke open.

Joe and Greg did get the drain open. They did not recap the rain leaders they had open in the search for a sewer clean out. Good.

Excellent. The technician Jay was prompt, courteous and professional, and fixed the problem. The previous plaumber had snaked the pipes but because there was a dip in the pipe from age, his snake was not large enough to get the clog cleared. Jay accurately diagnosed the problem and worked for quite a while ( in 90 degree heat & humidity) to clear the pipe with a larger snake. He cleaned up after himself and did a great job. I was not charged because the previous plumber was paid already, so he took care of payment for Jay. I would definitely recommend Drains by James.

The technician was prompt, the price was as advertised and the drains are fine. But the wet bar sink process proved quite messy; he did not have any cleaning materials in his truck and I had to get an old sheet. He did clean the cabinet and floor adequately but not as well as it could have been, and after he left I discovered that the wall near the sink was still covered with a film of drain grime

This is a professional power draining company. They are excellent! James arrives on time. His services are reasonably priced for his type of work. He is absolutely great. I would recommend him to others.
