Selected Sweezy as the low bid. The installation was done beyond the window of installation dates that was initially communicated to us - not a huge deal, and seems like a common complaint with most contractors. When the installation was done, we found that they had cut corners in a few areas (Ending the fence a foot away from the structure it was supposed to be flush against, rough cut dowels on the cross-pieces that were shortened instead of tapered off like the rest of the panels, and very rudimentary door hardware with exposed screws sticking out substantially from the gate post. We communicated that the installation was unsatisfactory and after a bit of defensive back-and-forth (and us withholding the balance of payment), they did finally come out to make the fixes after about 2 months. The final product still leaves something to be desired in that they put the relocated fence post on my neighbor's property. The final product is fine, but it took more headache than I would have liked to get there.

This was such a great experience. I had originally gone with a national chain, and was disappointed with them from start to finish. But Sweezey is local, and responsive. They were recommended by a contractor, and proved worth the recommendation. Their initial site visit went smoothly. It wasn't a cut and dry job, since we have a property line that is 3 feet higher than our neighbors, because they carved out a parking lot. So, the fence had to accommodate that incline. They did a great job removing dirt to make the fence work, and even managed to make the fence line even higher for more privacy. Best of all, they didn't ask us to do any special prep, which a lot of companies do. It looks beautiful. And price wise, they came in hundreds of dollars cheaper than the national company, and willing to do way more work.

It took awhile for the fence to come in but they installed it the day after it came in. One guy did it in about a day and a half and it looks great. It's very straight and exactly what we were looking for. We had quote from several companies and Sweezey was the lowest plus they were very friendly and listened to what we wanted.

No work was done.

Representative came right on time to evaluate for estimate. Written estimate came within a few days later, and decided to hire them. Work didn't start for a month, reportedly because they were waiting for stock to come in. When it did start, it was only one guy, but he was up to the job. It took him 2 and 1/2 days, but he did a real good job. It required a lot of "racking" since it was sloped lot. It cost more than I thought it should, considering the holes were already dug and it was simple cedar stockade fencing, but it came out nice.

Sweezey did a great job. They were pleasant to deal with and came in 60% cheaper than the next estimate. It looks nice and solid and they were very diligent and you can tell they were experienced.

Contacted Sweezey 12/20/2010 and they advised that salesperson would arrive at my home the following week with an estimate.Salesperson arrived on agreed upon time and date.Advised that a 1/3 down payment was required to begin work and that installer would be out in two weeks after down payment was received.But due to the weather(snowstorrm) it would turned out to be 3 weeks.Only minor compliant I had was they were to call day ahead before installation which they did not.Paul the installer did an excellent job,in which he took his time to make certain fence was installed correctly.Took away the old fence,included in price.Other than forgeting to call a day before installation I would highly recommend this fence company.

My overall experience with them was good. I called them a couple of times. The first time I called I had a live person which was great. They responded really quickly. I had compared their price with others. I liked their knowledge. We discussed certain things. It looks great. They were very competitively priced too.

They came over to replace our wooden fence and a gate. It took them two days to finish the work. They charge us by the job and not by the hour. The price was worth their quality of work. Sometimes we tend to feel we are paying too much but I felt the price was fair. They did what they said they would do and the job they did looked great.
