Sweezey Fence Erectors

After two months my fence almost came up out of the ground and on the street during a small wind storm when all my neighbors older fences were fine. When I reached out for them to fix it they were unresponsive...wouldn't recommend using them. Spend an extra $1,000 and get your fence done properly.

Would have liked to do business with Sweezey Fence but upon first visit the owner refused to put on a mask that he said he had in the car even when I asked politely to do so. That was the end of that. "F" for professionalism on that account. Should get smart and wear a mask. Otherwise I heard good things about this company, which is why I wanted to hire them in the first place. The fences I see done by them look very well done and solid even after several years. So puzzling when company owners don't realize that what keeps business open and kids in school is to all make an effort to keep Covid-19 numbers low. Wearing a mask seems a small thing to do for such a big gain.

The fence was fine, but many years after the install I attempted to fix an issue that I assumed was caused buy the ground settling, I discovered what in my opinion was a **** poor installation. I had mistakenly assumed that all of the posts for the vinyl fence would have been installed and set in concrete BELOW frost level. When I started to work on the issue of the corner of the fence sagging I discovered that the corner post was cut off 1 inch below ground level and not set in cement which i paid for. After a few years of struggling with the fence gate I discovered the issue with the poorly installed corner post. So, I called Sweezy fence in Whitman mass to report the issue I got a response that I would hope other customers don't get. " Bla Bla Bla - we've been in business for 50 years, and this isn't our mistake". I fixed the issue with a days worth of labor, but wasn't happy with the shoddy installation of the corner post. Look at the attached picture and ask if this is how you would like your fence to look.

The fence has been wobbly since they installed it. Pretty much clowns. I had another fence company out to look at their work., wasn't installed right.

Great. Very responsive, reasonable price, good advice regarding project, punctual, clean. Happy with finished product.

From the initial estimate to the guys who installed my fence, the folks were very punctual and honest. They took the time to do the job right, and we have been super happy with the fence. They pointed us toward the type of fence that would meet our needs and budget, which ended up being a vinyl-wrapped, poolside mesh chainlink fence. It has the smaller holes so our dog can't climb it. The installers were very punctual, mannerly, and considerate. They cleaned up afterward, too.

excellent. Everything was done precisely how he described. Estimate was in line with others for similar quality of wood. We went with a Cedar stockade. . Had this work done a little while back at the beginning of spring. He said he would be out in two days for an estimate. in 2 days he was out. Said he would have it emailed to me by the end of the day. By 4:30 we had our estimate. Forewarned us they were slammed and said it would be about 6 weeks. On the 6th week they came out. Great working with them would do it again.

My husband contacted 4 different fencing companies for estimates. Ken Sweezey, the owner of Sweezey Fence Erectors, came out and provided my husband with an estimate within days of my husband calling to request an estimate. He was very professional, answered all of our questions, and gave us the best estimate. We liked that this was a local operation and a family-owned business. He informed us of approximate timeframe of when they could come to our home and remove the old fence and install the new one, so we would have realistic expectations of when and how long this would take. Ken was right on and called us right within the timeframe he gave us to let us know the day the job would begin. It only took them 2 days to complete this job. They worked really hard in the hot weather, were completely self-sufficient, and extremely professional. Jimmy the supervisor really knew his stuff and answered any and all questions that we had. We were impressed with how hard they worked and the attention to detail in the cleaning up process. We are very pleased with the results, the fence looks great and you would never know that we had anyone working in our yard. We would definitely recommend Sweezey Fence Erectors if you are looking for a fencing company!

Th foreman and helper finished the 2 day job at 8pm. The we're outstanding, professional,respectful,polite and very hard workers. The foreman made suggestions regarding the height of the entry gate and the fence sections on either side of it to create the proper esthetics. The also carried fence posts from the existing fence to my neighbors yard so he could use them to create a border for his "nature walk " in the woods that are part of his yard. The also did a thorough clean up they washed down my driveway and scrubbed it with a broom to eliminate dirt etc.that had accumulated. They were also respectful of my neighbors property on either sid of me. An excellent experience and I have no problem recommending Sweezey Fence Co.

On time for estimate. Installers on time to do work. Had a small issue and it was addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. Plan to have them back in spring after lot survey for some chain-link.

Overall things went great. The guys worked hard, the fence looks great, and they were good about asking questions if they weren't sure about a particular section. Our back area slopes quite a bit so the installer did an excellent job making sure it looked aesthetically pleasing, and also backfilled dirt in areas where there would have been gaps due to dips in our yard. The only reason I didn't give A's all around was that we put down our initial payment, was told it would be 4-6 weeks to get material, and I received a call one morning while I was at work saying the guys were on the way. I was happy they were coming but would have appreciated some advanced notice so I could be there when they showed up to do a quick walk through.

I had three fence companies come out for proposals on a new fence. Sweenzey was the most affordable and I believe the most professional, that's why I chose them. The only problem I had was there was some confusion on the original proposal and what we agreed upon. I did call the company and let my complaints be known. He had only given me one gate when we agreed upon two. He was a bit abrupt on the phone while we were speaking however once we ended the phone call he did go back and look at the numbers and noticed I was right. He called back and apologized and stated he would have his guys out before the weekend. He actually had a guy come out that day! Overall I am very happy with the work they did. I would definitely recommend this company to whomever needs a fence.

The fencing turned out great. They're very, very good. They're full service. If there's anything I don't like, they'll come back right away. They do a nice job. I just love Sweezey Fence. They're our go-to company as far as I'm concerned. I would absolutely use them again.

Great job. High quality. Honest and logical solution-got different recommendations from different fence guys but Sweezy gave the right recommendation. Stay away from the chain companies offering fence services-they either were dishonest or simply don't know fencing. I strongly recommend Sweezy Fence-stick with the experts.

I called another provider who came out to look at the job and provide a quote for the removal and replacement of the yard fence. I decided to call Sweezey Fence for a second estimate and the receptionist was extremely pleasant when setting up my appointment for the estimate. I had to call a few days later and reschedule and she was again very pleasant and was able to accommodate me with the reschedule. Ken came out to look at the job and I explained that I wanted the fence taken down and replaced. He asked me some questions about the fence in general and placement of one gate in particular and whether I thought of changing the location and why he thought it might be a good idea. I had never even thought about the possibility of changing the gate locations. He was very courteous and provided the final estimate when he said he would. I had some follow up questions and he answered right away. His estimate was slightly higher than the first one I received but I decided to go with his company because everyone was very professional and courteous. They started and completed the job a few days before the estimated start date and did it very quickly and efficiently. I was very pleased all around and would recommend them.

They did the job well. They did what we asked. They knew what they were doing. Their customer service was good.

The estimate was given to us by Ken Sweezey, the owner and he was friendly, professional and patient with all our changes to the original plan. The installation team, Jim and Dean, was friendly, professional and did a great job. They communicated with us throughout the three day job to make sure we got the configuration we wanted. The fence looks great. I would recommend them without reservation. Great product, great service!

The estimate was fair for the amount of work required: 200' of fencing. The contract required 1/3 down before the start of the project when signing the contract, 1/3 at the start and 1/3 upon completion. The check was cashed immediately, but we never heard from the company to arrange a date. We called them to inquire about the start date since we had a short vacation planned and wanted to be home for the install. We agreed to call Sweezey when we returned. Two workers arrived at our home the day after we returned from vacation . . . no phone call to tell us they were starting the job! Fortunately, my husband worked from home that day and was able to give clear instructions to Jim and Dean. Jim and Dean did an amazing job! The fence is beautiful! Jim and Dean stayed almost 10 hours to complete the project, obviously taking great pride in their work. Our gardens along the new fence were not disturbed in the least. All trash was removed by Jim and Dean, and the lawn was freshly raked. These two young men were courteous, professional and friendly. Well done! We plan on replacing an additional fence next year, and will gladly contact Sweezey Fence. I hope the scheduling glitch can be fixed since I would hate to see the company lose out on future projects because of poor planning. I will definitely recommend Sweezey Fence, and will happily provide photos of their work.

Sweezey Fence did a great job installing the fence around our pool. It took a while to get the job done but it looks great and the price was much more reasonable than other quotes we got. They made a minimum of disruption to the landscaping which was nice. The installers were very great about communicating how it would all come together and any troubles that they might run into trying to work around the existing landscaping.

This was a great experience. The gentleman was nice, installed it with no damage to the yard. There was a small stone wall in the corner that he had to move and he tried to put it back once the fence was completed. Would use this company again and would recommend to others.

Called provider to schedule an appointment. Date was agreed to but no one showed up. No call to reschedule or at least give us a heads up. I guess when business is good it's ok to drop people but those are the things we remember when business is not so good. Definitely woud not call them again.

The winter finally destroyed our old wood fence. Sweezey Fence came quickly to do an estimate. They were thorough and explained all our options. The did the job ahead of schedule. It looks fantastic. Everything is cleaned up - in better condition than it started since they cleaned the debris that had gathered around the fence. They hauled away both the old wood fence, and the chain linked fence that was behind it. Very quick and very professional.

We were in the market for a vinyl fence. After a great deal of research, we settled on a product by Country Estates. We found the eastern MA distributor and in turn they gave us the names of 3 fencing contractors who would supply and install the product. After making a few calls we asked Sweezey Fence to give us a price. Ken was very punctual when he came to look at the job and his price was very competitive. He did not bring samples with him and instead encouraged us to take a ride to his shop. We did so and it was well worth the trip. There were more options for the fencing than we could have imagined. In the end we got exactly what we wanted. The order took about 8 weeks to fill which was frustrating. Joan, their office manager was always cheerful when I called and shared my frustration. When the product finally arrived, Sweezey sent an excellent crew led by their foreman Ray, a specialist in vinyl fencing to install our fence. He was courteous and professional and accommodated our requests for slight modifications to the installation design. All in all it was a great experience and we would recommend them highly.
