The mason did an absolutely perfect job. Three and a half years later, the columns still look perfect. All work was completed in a timely way, and the mason did a great job of cleaning up the workspace afterwards -- cleaner than he found it, by far!

Lenny was an absolute delight to work with from start to finish. He was prompt and reliable in all his dealings with us. He assured us that he would do a first rate job of restoring our 107 year old porch to its former glory, and he kept that promise. His crew worked in uncomfortably cold conditions without complaint, and finished the job in a timely way. Each day, they created a way for residents to enter the building safely, making special accommodation for one of our owners who was blind. Every detail was attended to with real care. In contracting for the job, Lenny originally came in as the high bidder. Of his own accord, he came back to a day or two later and told us he could make the job happen with a substantial reduction in the original price he had quoted. This brought his quote down into the neighborhood of the other quotes we had received, and we decided to choose Lennie because he really wanted the job and assured us that we would be very happy with the results, encouraging us to check out other porches he had done in the area. We weren't sorry. The results were excellent. Three and a half years later, the porch still looks great!

A short (1 week) but reasonable delay due to unsuitable weather. Lenny stayed in touch, showed up when promised, and did the work promptly and well. Professional and personable.

We originally wanted to do the job in November, but when we finally got the window (late!) he was booked through December. He had done work for us before so we waited, eventually until March, as it was too cold and/or stormy on the several days we tentatively scheduled successively through the winter (without any communication problems). Quite satisfied with his work and will call again.

He came out and gave us a quote. We said okay and told him we wanted to move forward with it. He then called us and told us he bid too low and he could not do the job. It was a very odd experience. He was responsive and pretty much on time. I would not recommend him.

We bought the window and he installed it. He did a very good job and I would recommend him.

Lenny was great. He is everything you could want in a carpenter: conscientious, tidy, detailed, and helpful. He is also a genuinely nice guy. It took a little while to get the project going (he was on vacation when we first called), but he was great about communicating expected work dates. His estimate was simple and the price very competitive. I couldn't have asked for anything more and am looking forward to working with him again in the future.

He was very good, very professional and prompt. He got to work done pretty fast. I spent about $6,000. I will consider using this company in the future.

I contacted this company based on positive reviews on Angie's List. It took the owner (I believe his name is Lenny) about a week to return my call, which I didn't mind too much. But we set up a time to meet and he never showed. He also never called to cancel.

Lenny was eager for the work and was therefore very responsive in getting gback to me for an initial estimate and starting the work. He worked diligently to design the project, work with the town for permitting, and complete the project. It was a tricky site and he found a creative and pleasing solution to avoid a retaining wall and deal with uneven footing. I revised the original design a couple of times (and added minor touches) and he was pleasant, responsive and flexible throughout. Pricing was very reasonable. He is an extremely engaging and friendly person, and the work was expert. He was also very careful of my wife's plants! My only criticism was that he got into a couple of shouting matches with his assistants -- startled my housekeeper a bit.

2 calls to this company and left messages. They never returned the calls. Glad they are too busy to let someone know that.

They completed it on time. There were no fundemental issues. They met my expectations.

I called a few times, left messages, emailed but never got a reply. I did mention that I found the company on the Angie's List.

He said he would call me with an estimate after getting measurements, and I never heard from him again! I tried several times, and he never returned my calls. All he had to do was call back to tell me he was too busy, if that was the case.

He was on time and he did the job very quickly. They were very professional. He kept me informed with what they were doing. They are very good about customer service.

Lenny and his crew, Billy and John, were punctual, professional, and friendly. Lenny was a great problem solver when it came to problems that only became evident once the old porch was removed. He designed a structural base that was stronger and more substantial than the original yet allowed the duplication of the old architectural detail that was required. He was creative in designing ways to duplicate the architectural detail without the very expensive milling of materials to match materials from 1885 which are no longer available. I have the greatest respect for the skill, talent, and professionalism of Lenny and his crew and would recommend them to anyone without reservation for any remodeling or renovation project in a home.

I sent Lenny a short email asking if he'd be interested in bidding on my project. He responded positively, so I sent over a few documents explaining what I wanted done. He apparently objected to some of my (fairly standard, according to the books on home renovation I've read) conditions, and he emailed back a one sentence, profanity-laced remark. I, uh, decided to take that as a lack of interest.

I called for an estimate on an upcoming project. No response to either of my calls.

Lenny was polite, prompt, and always returned by calls. What he did not do himself, he would contract out. They did a nice professional job and cleaned up well. I plan on calling him back for additional work. The price is for the floor repair. The pantry and bamboo floor was approximately $2000.00.

My call was never returned. It's been over two weeks. At the very least, the right thing to do is call people back and let them know that you aren't available.

I had a very good experience. Lenny Hourihane, the owner, gave us the lowest bid by about $6,000. My house is in a difficult location, there is no driveway and a narrow walkway to the back yard. Lenny and his crew carried in all the materials including PT wood, and many bags of cement and removed the old deck the same way. Never any problems, they handled the logistics perfectly. I was a little dubious about how the quality was going to be considering the low price. I needn't have worried. Their work was excellent. My house is vinyl sided and removing the old deck left gaps in the vinyl that the new deck would not cover. Lenny and his crew were able to fill those holes with existing pieces, so that now I can't even tell what was patched. And of course the deck itself is very solid. This was the most money I spent on my house since the purchase. I was a little nervous going into this process. Lenny and his crew were very professional and responsive to my concerns. In the future I would not hesitate to hire them, and without question would recommend them to others.

I called on Monday two weeks in a row and left a detailed message with a return phone number. Also mentioned that I found his company on Angie's List. No one from the company called back. Hmmmm???

Lenny and his crew were great! I always knew what to expect, when they would be there and how the project was coming along. We had several issues that had to be worked out with our city's inspectors, and Lenny handled all of them for us. They did a great job on the deck - very detailed oriented and thorough. They cleaned the site up daily. To start I just told Lenny my "idea" of having a deck back there - no real direction or anything, and he came up with the design and details. They're also a friendly group to work with and I would highly recommend them and their work.

They never called me back and I would not call them again

Although we had a little difficulty and getting together to start and mis-communicated in the process, once the work commenced it was WONDERFUL! Lenny and Billy did carefully and very polished work. The biggest issues were fixing the back deck stairs and adding a handrail. It was done really beautifully. The other odd problem we had was being unable to use a closet which had been awkwardly constructed over a stairwell. A really creative and craft-ful solution has been much appreciated. There was also a door frame after the door had been removed we wanted turned more into a nicer looking entry. Again a very nice job. Once the work had begun, both men were anxious to please, and happy to accommodate changes and concerns. We plan to use them again.
