Pioneer Basement

They did a phenomenal work, and we had them come back and do additional work. They did exactly what they offered, they were clean, and it was a very good experience. They did what was expected of the cost. It was very quick. They came in, told us what was needed to be done and what the cost would be, there wasn't much interaction.

My experience went very well. They started with the least expensive solutions first. Scheduling an appointment was perfect. They were accomodating to my schedule and very nice.

They were very professional. They took a lot of time surveying the area and they gave us two options that could be done in stages so that was helpful for us.

A higher dollar figure than we expected. Their professionalism was excellent. The anticipatory amount for doing that I don't say it was exorbitant but it was higher than what we thought.

It was done in two quotes for each of those steps. There was two different types of treatment of the wall and then depending on the size of the square feet and how much we wanted to do suggested price for which system should go in.

It was not worth it and it was a joke. They were quoting me thousands of dollars for the job. It was a complete waste of time. They tried to push their products and were dishonest about the problem. They should not advertise the deal that they are coming in for basement consulting. They were responsive in selling their stuff to me but not for my need.

Provider had a good understanding of the basement issues and communicated clearly about them.

I ordered a dehumidifier and that corrected the whole problem therefor I do not need the deal

Nick came out to give an estimate and was informative, educational and professional. Mike, the scheduler, was communicative. On the day of job, they were punctual, prepared and pleasant. The onsite job manager, Steve was the best and all of his workers were wonderful and polite. The job was done very efficiently and during, my questions were answered to understand how it was being done and how the system would work. They cleaned up extremely efficiently and went over, above and beyond. As a service industry professional, I would only recommend Pioneer Basement!

I had no issues scheduling the assessment. However, the first time the assessment was scheduled there was a miscommunication and no one showed. Pioneer Basement was very apologetic and immediately rescheduled at my convenience. The person who did the assessment was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. Based on the assessment findings I ended up having Pioneer Basement replace my dryer vent. That appointment also went well with no issues.

We had the worst experience with another basement company and went to Pioneer when our sump ran without need. Pinoneer arrived on time and quickly fixed the problem (incorrectly hooked up). Save yourself headaches and use Pioneer in the first place.

I ended up hiring another service provider who did the job for 20% less than what Pioneer Basement estimated. What they were offering sounded like someone with a flooded basement problem which I did not have. I didn't need the whole basement done, just dry-locking around the inner perimeter and adding some dirt around the outside. They were good with coming out for the estimate though. They were courteous and kind, but expensive and over estimating on the work that needed to be done.

We originally hired Pioneer to advise on a project done poorly by a prior contractor. The rep who visited our home was very honest and helpful and said that a masonry expert would be better, and offered to send one afterwards for the same price we paid for our Angie's list deal. In the end, we had the dehumidifier installed to correct some other moisture problems in our basement. They were really pleasant to work with. The installation of the unit took less than an hour! They were prompt and professional.

The whole experience was terrific. I had another company come to give a quote and the quote almost gave me a heart-attack. The sales persons attempts to pull on the heartstrings of my wife about the safety of our daughter was a bit over the top as well. The quote time from Pioneer Basement was in and out in about 40 mins. They emailed all docs and helped me get financing. The install team worked non-stop for almost 3 days. They were very friendly, respectful, and cleaned up each day. I just had the 1 month out follow up and it was very detailed. I can't say enough good things.

I felt that the solution he suggested was not the correct one for my issue. He wanted to jump straight to installing a french drain whereas another provider noted that the route cause of the problem was most likely the location of two downspout which he suggested I move. That provider was the fifth person I spoke to and Pioneer Basement didn't even mention the downspouts as a probable cause. I have looked elsewhere for the final solution to my basement waterproofing.

All the work was finished with no problems. Our initial contact person as Micah who was most helpful and very knowledgeable. He gave us some great advice and recommendations that we followed up on. Our installation rep was Tim who did an outstanding job. He was prompt, courteous, personable, and knew his business. And he cleaned up after he finished the job, too. I would hire these folks in a heartbeat because of their commitment to service and high quality work.

Micah showed me where the outflow pipe was wrongly connected. (that is why I could hear what sounded like lots of toilet flushing every time the rain was heavy. He REALLY knows his business and he was very patient showing me on his ipad how correct connections should look and explaining to me what he could do to fix it. The team that came to do the work was polite, professional, and neat. They needed to lay the outflow pipe into the side yard and then put the "drain cover" (I'm not sure of all the proper terminology) on where it ended. I could not see where the grass was disturbed where the pipe was laid. Later that afternoon, Micah came by to check the outside work. I was not home but he left a note saying that the pipe should not drain into the mulch because it could wash the mulch away and he would have it corrected. I was very pleased with the courtesy and responsiveness of the office staff and the technicians that did the work. I highly recommend Pioneer Basements.

Was very thorough and did a really good job explaining things. Was extremely knowledgeable about basements. They seems to have a very nice (but expensive) system for keeping the basement dry. We are going to start with some smaller modifications that were suggested and go for the full system in a few months. Will definitely stick with them for all our basement needs.

Professional, cordial, responsive, knowledgeable

We'd been dealing with a sewage or stagnant water smell in the entryway of our house during rains or periods of heavy clothes washer use. It was so embarrassing! We dug a sump pit in the garage in the area of the odor and installed a sump pump with just a corrugated hose directing water away from the house, but it still smelled. In desperation, we called several plumbing and septic places but nobody could provide an answer or solution to our problem. We finally called pioneer. They explained exactly what they thought was happening with our ground water and showed how they would create a sealed system that would not allow odors to escape. And yes! The house is now free from that embarrassing septic type smell! They were very polite and professional. They were prompt and got the job done amazingly quickly. They could not install the drain pipe until later since the ground was so wet, but when they did, the same quality service was provided. We were very impressed with this company.

Pioneer came out to quote service for waterproofing my basement. Though I ultimately went with another company, it was evident that this company was to notch and humble. Great presentation, great explanation, great person who came out to do the assessment. Materials were by far higher quality. Cost of the estimate was $0.
