Pioneer Basement

Spokesperson who came out to speak with me was very polite provided with all information that was needed and gave me prices for three possible options that I would have. The price was a couple hundred dollars less than the previous company I was going to use. I also felt comfortable with the fact they they said the price would not change the price is the price which made me feel comfortable. I had option of a sump pump, or a option of a sump pump and draining system (which I could do if sump pump was not enough) and a option of a dehumidifier with the sump pump. I would most likely use Pioneer because I felt comfortable with them. Just did not do at the time because of the holidays.

They were very personable and did the job to my satisfaction. They were very prompt they came back out to fix issues. They made it a priority to do what everything that I asked.

A tech arrived on time and very polite. He worked for an hour in the basement doing the above. He finished up and we did the paperwork.He was clean and courteous and professional.

They did a fabulous job. I am extremely satisfied. They were punctual. This was all in effort to make my basement water proof.

The person who answered the phone was courteous and helpful in arranging an appointment. The service man showed up promptly, worked quickly and efficiently, with a pleasant manner. He reassured me that I'd done the right thing in replacing the sump pump when I did, which was nice since I was working on intuition when I decided to make the decision to replace the old one. The price was good because it was an Angie's List Big deal.

They were prompt and professional, both in the estimating and service delivery.

The experience was excellent. They came right away to price the job. I got an extra discount as it was slow season for them when the install was taking place. The installers were in and out in two hours. The installers were careful to explain what they were doing, they were very neat, and they left no mess. They followed up over the phone and let us know if we had any issues they would come back.

They did a good job overall. The scheduling was good, they were very good with follow up, and they were pretty easy to deal with. Most of the people I have dealt with here have bent over backwards for me. The only thing that was problematic this time around was dealing with the son of the owner after the service was done. He did good initially. He came out and was very professional and gave me an estimate. After the work was done, I was not very satisfied with the way it was completed. I expect a certain level of completion on a job and they did not meet it. When I went down to the basement I noticed that they did not finish the job and they didn't clean up after themselves at all. There was extra wood on the floor and a hole in the wall. I wasn't too upset about it initially, but when I called the son I wasn't too thrilled with his response. He responded by telling me he already went above and beyond what he was supposed to do and that he was done with the work. If it wouldn't have been for this, I would have rated them all A's.

They were fabulous. They came in and they did the job. They cleaned the pump and it looks beautiful. They were very professional.

This seemed like a good company and would do a good job, however we ended up going with a different company. The guy who gave the quote was nice, but we ended up going with another company. They were on time and prices were comparable.

These guys were very professional. The pricing was competitive. The crew was very professional and their work was top notch. I am very happy with my basement now. There hasn't been a drop down there since the job was done. As always you get what you pay for. I would recommend them to any one for basement water proofing

I paid them to install a a pump for me. When they came out they told me that I have to have the pump bought already. I will use them for other service later.

Spent over $2,000.00 for a dehumidifer. It stopped working after several years so I called Pioneer basement and they brought out a loaner while they said they would send my unit back to the factory for repair. I was told I had to pay shipping both ways and labor for the repair but part was covered under the warrenty. The loaner did not work and very expensive instruments were subject to humidity and although nothing was completely ruined it was a mess to maintain. Pioneer basement said they would bring out another loaner. The warrenty is worthless as it coast over $400.00 for this reapair and took over 5 months to get my unit back as Pioneer basement does not have the capability to repair it in house.The unit was also installed wrong and now I have holes in the wall and that had to be corrected so now I have fake duct plates to hide the holes. I lost faith in this company and will not do business again. I also wrote the manufacturor and complained and there was no return call or letter.Worthless warrenty very disaponted!returned to factory for repair

I requested that, they put the humidifier and tried to water proof the basement; they are the best in the area.

They didn't seem to do so much, and still charged us a lot. Everything went well, but it was a lot for just a maintenance checkup without any substantial repair work. It was on time, and the workers that came out were nice. I think the price they charged us when they installed the pump was pretty reasonable.

.I got this referral from Angie's List. They did a good job and did the work under budget. I am happy I chose this company.

Please see above comments. I have not yet had the work performed on the basement. Pioneer (Fabio) has offered to re-evaluate the basement if the solutions I have chosen do not work out. A general comment - the more contractors you talk to, the more information you can acquire that will help you evaluate the correcgt contractor to select and the right questions to ask.

Pioneer is very professional and was a pleasure to work with. They were always on time, friendly and answered all of our questions. It was easy to schedule the work and they stuck to their schedule. They did the work for a reasonable cost and the quality was great! They completed the job as they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. Our basement looks great! They also take credit cards, which is a great offering. I would absolutely recommend Pioneer!

They showed up on time, and did exactly what they said they would do. They cleaned up very well after the job was time, and were courteous.

I was informed by a representative of Rescon (another Angie's List provider) that Pioneer Basements had relocated to the south coast of Massachusetts and that they had turned over all of their north shore business to Rescon. The representative stated that all of the technologies and equipment used by Pioneer could be provided by Rescon.

We found water in the finished and unfinished part of the basement, and part of the carpet in the finished basement room was wet. We suspected it was a foundation leak and asked another company who quickly provided a quote to install sump pump. However, after Nick (project manager from Pioneer) came by, he inspected closely on the damage, and did not think it was caused by foundation leak. He took the time and found the real cause of the damage, which is a pipe leak from the A/C unit!!! I am glad I asked Pioneer to come to provide an estimate, and did not go ahead and fix a problem that did not even exist!!! I am so impressed with the honesty of Nick, which I believe is a good reflection of the company's integrity, especially comparing to the other company I used for estimate. I will be writing a review on the other company to reflect the fact on what happened.Thanks, Pioneer!! I will definitely ask for you again for any future basement projects.

He was responsive, thorough, professional, and prompt. I didn't use his service because I found a different way to resolve the issue.

I have them come out every now and again to make sure everything is functioning correctly. They are pretty satisfactory. I’ve had the same pump for about ten years and it hasn’t failed yet so they must be doing a good job with keeping it working well.

Pat arrived on time and investigated the basement thoroughly. He found no moisture issues, but did find some mold that may be contributing to the odor, He also left a brochure and estimate for a dehumidification system, but there was no hard sell. There was nothing to proceed with at that point, but if I ever need to have our basement waterproofed, Pioneer will be the first place I call.
