Description of Work: I was impressed by how smoothly the visit went. All questions were answered and assuming the workmanship is the same as the consult it should be a pleasant experience working with this company to waterproof by basement. I especially liked the fact that they didn't try to sell me anything or any work that I didn't need. They were very knowledgeable and efficient.

Description of Work: Installed three sump pumps with associated piping along with a fifteen to twenty foot external trench with dry wells. Additionally, installed a fully enclosed system in one of two cellar rooms in which trenches were created with portable hammers. Piping, drainage stone, and door grates completed the process. The patching of the cement with the existing cellar floor was seamless. Truly a thoroughly professional performance. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Description of Work: I have difficulty going up and down stairs so couldn't check on the work during the progress. They were very neat and cleaned up their mess before leaving. Everything was done as planned. When I went to the basement when they Said they were done, the humidifier was just sitting in the back room. It had not been connected. When I told them where it was supposed to go they tried and it wouldn't fit so it was put in the secondary location. However they never went over operating instructions with me and I didn't think of it till they had left. They also broke the light chain in the closet and never told me. Minor but not professional. They also put in a 2" discharge pipe for the pump they installed. I checked they outside exit point after they left and it looked good however when I looked at the exit point inside in the closet, they had made a 6" hole in a finished wall and never pointed this out either. They should have at least mentioned this to me. It was July 3rd at 1:30 pm and I think they felt they were done and just wanted to start their long weekend.

Description of Work: Sump pump tune up. I purchased an Angie's List Deal for this service. I had a question about the deal. They answered immediately. I bought the deal and they got in touch with me immediately to schedule. Showed up on time. No issues. Kind and professional people. Other basement/sump pump companies do not compare.

Description of Work: Not so much a tune-up as an inspection and evaluation of the existing basement drainage. I received information I didn't have about the current state, but don't think I received any services that conferred extra longevity or performance from the existing system. | |At my request I was quoted a improved solution - but it was extremely expensive (and disruptive to install) without being complete (other subs needed that I'd have to arrange myself). Too much cost, too many unknowns, and insufficient clarity about the end-state benefits.

Finished job appears very good (needs testing over time). | |Cons: I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal, paying $49 for a Basement Waterproofing Inspection and Preventive Water Leakage Plan. What I got was not any type of inspection, but the typical *free* estimate. (I later got the $49 refunded). After the guy went through his spiel and gave us the price, we hesitated. At that point he called the owner of the company to close the deal with the hard sell. Although we signed up, it left us feeling very uncomfortable. During the estimate, my husband suggested an easier way to drain the collected water, which the estimate person said wouldn't work well. In the end, the installation crew agreed that my husband's way was better. This reduced labor time and cost. My husband had to continually call the inside coordinator to get this done and to have our bill adjusted. Some calls went unanswered. The crew did not come out when originally promised to finish the job. They only came after the company called to ask for final payment and was told the job wasn't finished. After the job was done, they called again for final payment and wanted the original, unadjusted, balance. They were again told no and finally presented an adjusted final bill, which was paid. | |Bottom line: Final job appears to be well done, but needs to be tested over time. Installation crews who came to the house were great. Inside people need to review their practices.

Description of Work: Installation of a sump pump in our basement. Pioneer gave an attractive discount and performed the work very professionally, on time and hopefully with success. We have had no floodiing since the installation, so the pump has not been tested. The installer gave me the option to perform the hook-up of the pump to the drain/sink myself which allowed for an additional savings (although it took me about 3 months to finally get it done).. I

Description of Work: Replaced an older sump pump...overall experience was great and did not try to upsell me which I honestly was very fearfull of. Only issue was timeliness as they somehow got the wrong town I was in and could not find me causing a 2 hour delay. That was not a major deal for me. Super professional and went to work really quickly once he got her,...would definately use again! hope that helps someone.

Description of Work: Spent only about 20 minutes explaining repairs they would do. My two other 'estimate ' companies spent over 1 and 1/2 hours each. Felt I was being rushed and that he was in a hurry. I needed more explanation! Would not use this company.
