The service technician was pleasant, thorough and quick in his work. He also communicated what needed to be done. The main criticism is the price. Seemed a bit high.

Builder put on wrong kind of outside vent. The one on there had broken from the pressure built up inside and lint everywhere. Dryer vent climbed to roof and changed to correct outside vent and also cleaned line since it had been 1.5 yrs. Technician was very professional and courteous.

Technician did an excellent job, including cleaning up. The price for this work was very reasonable. I would use this provider again and highly recommend them.

Wendy was the technician this time and I was thrilled to see a woman doing this for a change. But more important, she did a really good and thorough job. she was also very pleasant. She explained what she did and the results of her work and informed me what I need to do before I have the work done again in a year or so.

Excellent. Explained what he was doing as he went. Explained how to prolong life of already aging vents. Also explained how to approach replacement.

The tech was fabulous! She immediately could see our dryer vent was not up to code. She replaced it,cleaned the cover and vents and left the work area cleaner than when she arrived. She explained to us everything she was doing for us. The price was extremely fair. Definately would recommend Dryer Vent Wizard.

The others were booked up and problems on my end arose but DVW scheduled a sooner appointment, and the dude showed up and did the work. Enough said.

The owner, Webb Dickson, came for the appointment and called to tell me he was on his way and came right on time for the appointment. He was very professional and took the time to explain exactly what he was going to do for the inspection and that he was going to provide me with a written estimate before he began any work. His estimate was just what they advertised, he told me how long it would take, and he even noticed that my outdoor vent cover was broken and replaced it. After he cleaned the vent he took the time to clean up every little bit of lint both inside and out and explained the condition and efficiency of my dryer and vent and how often I should have it cleaned. He thanked me for using them and explained their referral policy to me. I would DEFINITELY recommend Webb and his company to anyone of my friends.

The service person explained the codes thoroughly and went over a number of options for re-routing the ducting. He was extremely neat with his cutting and the ductwork was installed professionally and as close to the rafters as possible. He tested the work and dryer, cleaned up completely and packed up the remains of the old system for me to dispose of in the trash.

They did a great job! Got out a TON of stuff of the vents, arrived on time, and spent extra time explaining the process to us. We'll definitely be using them again next year.

The tech was very professional and informed me of what he was doing. The washer/dryer combo is in a very tight closet on the second floor. which made it impossible for him to get to the back without first taking off the closet door and then pulling the whole unit out. He was respectful of my wood floors and did his best to get to the back of the dryer where the vent hose is. Unfortunately he was unable to get the dryer out enough to replace that part of the hose but he cleaned all the parts he could get to. He replace the dryer and the door and cleaned up everything. He also replaced the vent door to the outside and cleaned the hose leading out to that vent. He made me aware of everything he was and wasn't able to do. I was very satisfied with the work.

The previous owners of the property did not have the dryer vent properly done. It was venting into the attic instead of to the outside. The tech came, gave us an inspection and written estimate. It was all done correctly and to code within a half day. Highly recommended.

Very professional and on time. Estimated a 5 hour job and were done in 3 hours. Were very quiet, clean and left no mess behind. Due to the layout of the condo the job was difficult but Kevin (the Yoda of dryer vents) worked it all out and did a fabulous job. Matt did a great job. He arrived on time and gave me a reasonable quote. He explained the cleaning process very well and suggested a new rigid vent to replace my flexible vent from the dryer. I declined that service because it just would not work in the confines of my laundry room. He then proceeded to clean the vent with his tools and cleaned up after the job. Overall, a great experience!

I just recently bought my condo and found that my dryer was taking several hours to dry a regular load. An appliance repairman found a blown thermostat due to overheating due to a blocked vent. After replacing the thermostat I called Dryer Vent Wizard. Kevin came out at the scheduled time. My dryer vent was completely blocked by lint in the connector ductwork and at the outside vent. There had been a screen placed outside over the vent opening which caused the buildup of lint. Kevin used a powered brush to push the lint out from the wall through the outside taking the screen with the expelled lint. He also replaced the flimsy slinky connector ductwork between the dryer and the wall with more of a rigid duct. He also recommended a pest-free vent cover that won't become blocked like the screen (which is not to code anyway for that reason). The grill had been placed by the condo maintenance just one year ago because of bird nests and was completely blocked up within a year and could have caused a fire. Now my dryer dries much more quickly and I don't have to worry about a fire.

The dryer vent wizard man showed up and took measurements and gave me the quote. He was polite and told me what the job required. This job required an 18 foot duct vent and requires widening the whole on the side of the house a little. He said it would be a 2.5 hour job. The quote was for $580! This quote is totally unacceptable. At home depot, the high end metal duct vent (4" smooth metal duct, NOT the accordion style flexible stuff) is $1.60 per foot. The wall vents are in the $6-$15 range. The total material cost should be under $50, certainly under $100. They could have done the job for $300 with a decent profit and hourly wage. Of course, they say that their ducting is better and their cost for the ducting alone was $470! They know that people will not accept a high hour wage in the quote so they put all the cost into the material so it looks like they are doing you a favor by taking a low hourly wage. When I declined, they reminded me that I still owed them $49 which is fine since I agreed to that ahead of time. When I still declined to pay $580 they asked what I was expecting. I told them $200 if I was lucky, $300 if unlucky. They were willing to negotiate on the price but not to below $500. I understand that they are running a business, need profit, and use good materials, but their profit margins are way, way to high and are just targeting people who don't know better. For that amount of money it is worth doing it myself even if it takes me 4-5 hours. It's probably a good life skill to have anyway. Note that this is not a "trade" like an electrician or plumber. The list of requirements by even the most strict states (California) are only 2 pages long, can be done by anyone, and do not require any certifications to do. I would not recommend Dryer Vent Wizard because of this. If money is not a problem then I would recommend them, but just know that they are taking advantage of you.

Excellent. Wendy is a rock star. I wish all service professionals were like Wendy. She came in and looked at my dryer to make sure the lint area was clean. Then she cleaned out my dryer vent and replaced broken louvers. She explained everything as she went and gave me some tips. She was a pleasure.

Mike called when delayed by traffic, arrived within original timeframe. Mike was polite, professional and efficient. He did the inspection, provided a description and estimate, did the work (bird's nest and years of lint) and cleaned up. Asked for senior discount, at first gave discount on only the inspection task, when questioned gave discount on cleaning task so I decided to pay, take him out of the middle, and pursue the discount with the office. They promptly gave me the senior discount on the full cost of the work.

Instead of vacuuming the lint from the dryer end of the vent pipe and thereby cleaning it, the technician inserted a brush from the exit end of the vent and proceeded to brush it inwards. The result was that the lint got clogged further inside the vent pipe in the attic. He then climbed into the attic and took sections of the pipe apart and made a mess amidst the blown insulation. In summary, this company does not have the expertise to do the job.

Great. The service pro gave an overview of what he was going to do and did. Hard to find someone that actually shows up when they say, but they were right on time and provided good service.
