Description of Work: Not much. Prob my fault as thought it was worse problem than it was. Just that I paid the 185 up front and didn't feel in the end it was equal to the minor task. No worries. Would use again just be clear about expectations.

Description of Work: My dryer vent had holes in it, was the more fire prone foil type, had lots of lint stuck in it so the clothes didn't dry completely, and before it vented outside under the deck, it had too many loops and turns. Kevin from Dryer Vent Wizard was great, he put in solid aluminum ducts and elbows all up to code, and set it up perfectly. He also vented it under the deck stairs facing outside instead of directly under the deck which is not up to code. He was very good at what he does and a nice guy. Now my clothes dry when they're supposed to. I no longer need to add thirty more minutes to my dry time. They are a little pricey, but I feel good about the job they did. I didn't get any estimates from anyone else so I don't know what they would have charged, but the people I used were based in my town so that was convenient. Besides, I think all they do are dryer vents so that's a good thing.

Description of Work: Called office to make an appointment for service to replace dryer venting system after finding Dryer Vent Wizard on Angie's List, and 1st appoint available was close to 8 or 9 days out on 6/1/15 between 11am and 3pm time frame to which I accepted. Technician called 30 minutes prior to arrival at around 12:15 pm which was very punctual. The technician that showed up named Matt was absolutely fantastic, I made 2 suggestions as to how I thought my correct my problem with the out of code setup I had existing, so I knew from the start that cleaning was never an option. Based on my 2 suggestions the technician Matt produced 2 job quote estimates for each method discussed.After seeing both quotes instead of retracing existing current route of venting system which travel through the floor into a closet in the finished basement, which would have required cutting up sheet rock walls to have vent come out lower level wall a venting distance between 12 and 15 feet which would have been very labor intensive for technician as well as messy and expensive. So instead I choose the 2nd option to which I suggested, which was a much simpler job, dryer is located in a half bath on the 2nd level of a tri level home and what was required of technician was to cut a whole in the wall to the outside of the half bath which comes out on our back deck, a very very simple 4 foot run of semi rigid dryer vent to a 2ft piece of solid duct that goes thru the wall to a white plastic dryer vent screwed to the vinyl siding. The technician Matt was very neat and through and caulked all around both inside and outside of the duct work. he walked me thru everything he did, he also tested the air flow which was outstanding, and thoroughly cleaned his work area removing all the trash, the technician Matt was absolutely fantastic and we could only be so lucky if all tradesmen that came to your house to work are half the professional behavior he displayed always wearing booties while working anywhere inside the house. They say good service is worth its wait in gold and that may be true. But I believe that $502( minus $25 coupon) price paid $477 is a little outrageous and here is the breakdown $49 Inspection fee....$230 4ft dry line vent installed...$149 to drill hole in exterior wall....$45 for plastic dryer vent cover....and $29 for lifetime warranty ( which is voided if you don't have them come out and inspect and clean your dryer vent every 2 years at an approximate cost of $49 for inspecting 4ft of vent, and maybe another $100 to clean it. I would definitely recommend this company to do work in your home because the quality of the work provided from technician Matt | was awesome, but since there are very few companies providing this service in my area, they obviously feel that perhaps do to a lack of competition they can charge high fees....which amount in this job to about $120 per ft. to install a new dryer venting line which never required climbing, squeezing into rafters or wall beams, working in hot and steaming attic space or crawling around damp basements. A relatively simple job at a highly difficult and expensive rate.

Description of Work: Inspected 2 dryers, and thoroughly cleaned the one that was bothersome..cleaned out the interior of the second dryer as it didn't need more work. Everything was carefully explained, cleanup was great, and all works well now.
