Description of Work: I phoned on a Tuesday and received an appointment for Friday that same week. I made my decision to use Liptak without contacting others for quotes mainly because of their company writeup regarding the type of equipment and products they use , their positive reviews on Angie's list and because the verbal quote I received based on my measurements seemed reasonable. I spoke with the owner and he was curteous, friendly, accomodating and professional. He explained his process, his products and his guarantee in terms I could easily understand. When he travels he has an answering machine if no one is in the office and my calls were promptly returned. I had a large living room( 2 rooms combined), a hallway, a bedroom, a heavily soiled desk chair and a large oversized basement and stairwell cleaned. The worker arrived on time(he was delayed but I was advised by both the office and by the driver that he was running a bit late so I consider this "on time"). They were aware of the promise to be at my house at a specific time and they took it seriously. I was concerned about my living room rug which is basically a bright white , textured rug that was purchased about 4 years ago. I have never had it professionally cleaned for fear it would not be satisfactory. Friends never seemed satisfied with work they had contracted out, so I really didn 't know a trustworthy carpet cleaner. I had some serious soiling in the traffic pattern area leading from the kitchen through to the bathroom off the hallway. This was discussed and special care was taken to pretreat it to maximize results. The technician said he would do his best but did say that because of some wearing in that area, results could be affected. Care was taken with my furniture and walls and the technician was respectful of my home. By the way, we saved 20% off all the cleaning because we moved our furniture out of the rooms the night before. Not a bad deal for 20% savings. The rugs all came out fantastic with one exception. After the traffic area in the living room thoroughly dried(about 24 hrs) there were some small traces of soiled areas. I wasn't going to hassle it because it came out so much cleaner than what I had expected, but the owner had insisted that if I was unhappy for any reason, to contact him. The office staff person I reached said the owner would be out to inspect my rug the next day and indeed he did come, along with his service truck. He quickly acknowledged the spots in question and offered to give them a second treatment, at no cost to me. There was significant improvement and honestly, the rug looked almost as good as it did when it was brand new. The rug now brightens the entire room. I have found a professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, hard working Carpet Cleaner that I can recommend to friends and family! Customer service was a major focus and when you combine technical knowledge and skill with good communication and service, you've found a winner. I plan on scheduling my rugs to be cleaned by Liptak same time next year, sooner if neeed. By the way, there was no coupon or hidden cost, strictly a per sq ft cost calculation. When the worker arrived, he measured all the rooms , went to his truck and produced an invoice that outlined and detailed the exact calculations. This was reviewed and agreed upon before the job began. Finally, one last thought I will share; I was told that there are approximately 130 cleaners in our area but only 5 are IICRC CERTIFIED. I don't recall the specifics of the certification but it is significant and Liptak is one of the 5 certified shops. It is stated on Cory Liptak's business card. Why would I spend so much time and recount so much detail, you might ask? To be perfectly frank, in this day and age, it was my pleasure to meet Cory Liptak; he was just a nice, honest, professional , decent guy who is working hard to make an honest living. I respect that . Having worked in Customer Service most of my career, it gives me pleasure to endorse a business that I know will be helpful to others. This guy has it all figured out.
