Description of Work: Designed and installed grid-intertie photovoltaic solar electric system on roof. Arranged all permits, paperwork for approval and financial incentives. Contract was $0 up front, and monthly payments tied to electricity production. Net cost is lower than previous cost of all electricity from utility company, and should continue so for 20 years. | |They had lots of experience with specific site situations in designing the system and they were flexible to meet specific needs and desires of customer. They were happy to explain everything in detail and discuss all options with customer. Their installers were very experienced and there were essentially no problems during the installation or for the 15 months the system has been in operation so far. | |They are responsible for all maintenance, insurance, and any repairs that may be required for the 20 year duration of the contract. I'm surprised more homeowners in Massachusetts aren't taking advantage of what is close to "something for nothing". There are other companies that offer similar systems and contracts, but some are not as experienced as Real Goods Solar.
