We found him on Angie's List. The guy was rated very highly. We would rate him exactly the same. He did more than anyone could have expected. He did a good job. It's a chimney for a wood burning stove. The chimney was a three-storey tall, and the stove was in the basement. The chimney went up to two –storey of the house. He did the work from the basement. In fact, this is something I have done for the last 25 years. I have just got tired of it, but he just did it. He had a power vacuum with him while he was doing it, so a very little soot got into the air because it got sucked up into the vacuum. He used the brush same way as I did. The chimney was clogged much more than it had been when I was cleaning it, and it was filled with bird nest; so he did more than anyone could have expected. He had a mess to deal with. He very patiently and thoroughly took everything away including the metal ash can I used. He did a top-notch job. He saved me a lot of backache, so I was happy to pay.

They were very good. The guy that came out was wonderfull. They put a cover over one of our chimneys. He evaluated another and did not charge for that.

When I called to schedule, I had to leave a message, but someone got back to me right away, and I was able to schedule a convenient time. The technician was right on time, extremely professional, explained everything he was doing, did a thorough check of both chimneys, and how the oil burner was connected. During the process of cleaning, it was discovered that I had some very thick creosote near the top of the chimney that wouldn't come off with regular cleaning, so I was asked if I wanted to have him use another procedure involving a power tool. This would cost an additional $50. When he explained the consistency of the creosote, I knew exactly what he was talking about, as I had seen it myself. He explained the danger of not cleaning it properly, and I readily agreed. He also did a great job of protecting the floors inside the house as the clean-outs are in the living room. Everything was clean as a whistle when he left. The technician also was really good about educating me about proper chimney care, and products that are helpful (for example fire extinguisher products). He wasn't trying to sell me any products, just informing me on what works best, and where I could get them.

The Superior Chimney Sweep is excellent. They have coupons. The owner is very good and extremely nice. He is quick but, he does a thorough job.

The experience was very good. They showed up on time, did the work within a couple of hours, and everything's working fine. I was happy with their work. The price, from what I checked, was normal. I was very happy with them.

Arrived half-hour before scheduled time (certainly better than the usual late or no-show) AND was willing to come back when his early arrival conflicted with other activities. When finished, he provided some helpful info on some additional work that could/should occur.

I needed the chimney swept and wanted a general inspection. I called the company during business hours but no one was there so I left a message on the company's answering machine. After 3 days and no response, I called again and left another message. Again, no response. If the company is not interested in new business or is not planning on returning calls, they shouldn't bother with the answering machine.
