Allen and Jane, of Kitchen Tune-Ups of Newton, are exceptional professionals with a strong commitment to high quality service and to high quality results. They were very responsive to emails and phone calls and quickly addressed any concerns that we had. From beginning to end, they were a pleasure to work with. Allen and his excellent team of carpenters were meticulous craftsmen, attentive to every detail as they transformed our outdated kitchen to a beautiful, modern kitchen. They installed new cabinet doors and new roll-out drawers, installed new hardware, refaced all of the woodwork and trim, and added crown molding. They did such a beautiful job. Jane coordinated and worked closely with a top-quality stone fabricator to measure, cut, and install a beautiful quartz countertop and made sure that this work intersected smoothly with the kitchen cabinetry work. We are so pleased with our new kitchen and with the high-quality workmanship of Allen and Jane and their team.

Allen, Jane and the carpentry crew were exceptionally professional, patient and nice in their approach to our job. The work was well done, on time and of course as promised in their quotation. They really try to please their customers, and they stand behind their work. We were very happy with the outcome!

I wish Allen and Jane did more than cabinets! They are, hands-down, the most professional contacts we've met througout our years hiring for home repairs and remodeling. As a team, they are terrific. From my first outreach, they were responsive and helpful. We had some unique considerations for our kitchen, and they had creative suggestions for how to solve the problems. Their crew arrived on time and were incredible. Not only was their work outstanding, they were a pleasure to have in our space - wishing my husband happy birthday and remembering my 5 year old's name! The cabinets look absolutely beautiful. The carpenters and Allen noticed a small imperfection in one cabinet (I had not noticed) and brought it to my attention with a plan already in place for replacing it, including not accepting the full payment until that occurs. We've also worked with Allen and Jane to replace the countertop, and it's made the process so much easier. Jane has done all the coordinating with the granite company, and has worked with them to make sure we have a finished product that we're happy with. Kitchen Tune-Up of Newton is outstanding. They were very nice and very professional, they answered all my questions but the price is high. They came on time. I have not made up my mind yet what I want to do.

We had out kitchen cabinets refaced and I can't say enough good about the work Jane and Allen provided. From day 1 to the last detail, top notch all the way. Jane and Allen were so easy to work with we wish all contractors were like them. They listened to us, made suggestions, answered all our questions and spelled out everything as we went along. They crew who did the work were also a great group of guys. They were so detail oriented and their work they exceeded my already high expectations. The project was completed on time, the crew cleaned up every day and communication was always open. We had one or two minor things that needed fixing once the job was complete and Allen (or crew) came out to address immediately. I would use them again and have already recommened to several other friends.

It was the best experience I have ever had! Working with Jane and Allen was a pleasure. They are low key and they know what they are doing. Their contractor and workers are a pleasure to have around. The kitchen cabinets only took 3 days to install. The Quartz countertop was installed in a couple of hours. I had Jane and Allen use a company they use for the countertop, Jane stayed in my house to oversee the entire time the countertop was being installed. I was very impressed. My kitchen is beautiful. I most highly recommend this company with Jane and Allen.

New kitchen, counters and floor. Amazing experience....I cannot tell you how happy we are with our new kitchen. It took more time for us to plan...than the install. They are very good at helping you through every step....I had 2 contractors in my house last month...both thought we put in all new cabinets....thank you so much for giving us a,dream kitchen with a budget we could afford. You honestly are the best company I have ever worked with...your customer service is amazing.

Their line of work, unfortunately, did not include all that needs to be done in our kitchen, but we received very good advice.

Kitchen Tune-up of Newton did an amazing job in our kitchen in Boston. They were prompt and the kitchen looks amazing. They went beyond the call of duty-adding finish to places that weren't in the contract just because as Allen said, "it's the right thing to do." I plan to hire them again when we need additional work.

From start to finish, everything went so well. Jane and Allen were incredibly helpful in the design and were so easy to work. They were thorough, organized, punctual and always responded to our emails/phone calls in a very timely manner. The crew - and they have their own work crews (no subcontractors) - were amazing. Always on time, worked hard and always made sure to clean up when they left. The whole project took 3 days and was finished right on time. The counter top installers were from a different company but they were equally great and the installation went very smoothly. It's 7 months later, and we still love our kitchen. We would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I can't say enough about how amazing it was to work with Kitchen Tune-Ups. My kitchen looks like a completely new kitchen. Jane, Allen and their entire team are wonderful to work with, even coming back months after to answer a few questions I had. While my kitchen was being completed, each night I came home from work and it was so clean. Each night I was pleasantly surprised with how clean it was and I could actually use my kitchen. I have never had such an easy experience while renovating. They are truly amazing to work with and I would encourage anyone having kitchen work done to give them a call.

Jane and Allen were lovely to work with — courteous, professional, well organized and knowledgeable, with helpful suggestions on how to approach the kitchen renovations, while taking my cost constraints into account. The work crew were pleasant to deal with, paid attention to detail, and cleaned up after themselves. It was reassuring to have Allen on hand to coordinate and supervise all aspects of the installation work.

Jane and Allen were so easy to work. They made numerous visits to our house as we selected products and patiently answered all of our questions. Work began as scheduled and finished early Their installers were professional and did a beautiful job. The few follow up items were handled promptly and exactly as expected. When there was an issue with the countertop, Jane was on top of it with the fabricator and the final product was perfect. My kitchen looks absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed my experience with Kitchen Tune-Up and was very happy with the results. Jane and Allen were always on time for appointments, and they thoroughly explained all of the options for finishes and pricing. Instead of completely replacing the cabinets, I opted for refacing. The cabinets were refaced in white, I had some roll-out shelves installed in some of he larger cabinets, and the hardware for all the doors and drawers was included at no extra cost. The work was completed in just 3.5 days. The first 3 days were the refacing, and the last day was the counter installation. I did have to arrange for a plumber to disconnect and reconnect the sink, but all of the rest of the work was coordinated by Jane. The workers who came were careful to keep everything neat when they left each day. They paid careful attention to the details, even asking me about the exact location of the hardware on the different types of doors and drawers. Overall, I was happy with the end product. I just wish they did bathrooms also, because I need those redone as well!

Jane and Allen transformed our 1980s kitchen! We love the new updated look and the refacing and new counter tops make everything look modern and new. After meeting with 3 companies and reviewing estimates we decided on Kitchen -tuneup for a few reasons. First Jane and Allen were very easy to work with as well as organized and prompt. Their quote was in in the middle of the other 2 quotes we received - but truthfully we felt their quality was superb for the cost. Their team was easy to have in the house and left the area very clean so we could use what was available in the kitchen. Overall the project went very smoothly and we would recommend their services.

The first surprise was Jane's almost instantaneous response to our initial inquiry, on a holiday no less! The next surprise was their price estimate which easily beat the competition. During the preview visit by Jane and Allen Cohen, it was obvious that they are passionate about what they do...delivering thoughtful quality with utterly impeccable service. The final surprise, though, was that the workers that did the installation reflected the same courtesy, thoughtfulness and pride of workmanship of the owners.
