Kitchen Tune-Up of Newton

Kitchen tune up transformed our kitchen! Our cabinet doors were scratched and out dated. We replaced the kitchen doors and hinges, and the results are awesome. Kitchen tune up was very easy to work with!

I had a very good experience with Kitchen tune up, from them coming out to access our kitchen and give me a quote, to the installation. Allen was very good about explaining what our options were and had an abundance of samples to show us. Both him and Mike were flexible in arranging days and times for their visits. The installation went quicker than I thought, and I'm very happy with our new cabinet doors and new drawers.

I used Kitchen Tune-Up of Newton to refresh my kitchen a year ago. My beautiful new kitchen is truly magazine-worthy and the transformation was a painless as possible. Recently, when my puppy damaged a cabinet, Mike and his crew quickly came to the rescue and were able to fix the cabinet so it looked as good as new. Phew! My refaced cabinets are beautiful; I can't tell the difference between them and new cabinets. Everyone who worked on this project was a pleasure to deal with. Allen helped with design of other elements of the kitchen, as well as cabinets. He is a great source of information and ideas. Mike took care of the ordering and installation, which went beautifully. Darren, Cam, and Joe, who did the installation, were friendly and pleasant, and they cleaned up completely at the end of each day. They were kind and patient when I agonized over hardware size and placement. I only wish they did other kinds of projects, because I would hire them for everything. I give them my highest recommendation.

My experience with Kitchen Tune Up of Newton was fantastic! I have done countless home improvement projects over the years and am so pleased at their diligence, honesty, professionalism and quality. Previously, I was considering a full gut of my kitchen but didn't want to spend all that money when the layout of my kitchen was functional and the cabinets were in good shape. My large kitchen was redone in a matter of a few of weeks instead of months (countertops cause the most delay because they are 10 days from template to install) and it looks like a brand new, gorgeous kitchen! Great tandem work between Allen and Mark! Easy estimate, scheduling and communication with Allen, who is a punctual person. Mark did the refacing job of our old, not well maintained by the previous owners, maple cabinets. We didn't want to change their color, but just to look nice and appealing to the eye. That's what Mark did- meticulous work with the right effect. I must mention that Mark is a pleasant gentleman and great professional. As a result of the tandem work we now have a neat and tidy kitchen. Thank you both!

Mike and his team did a fantastic job on our kitchen - it was a complete transformation. We had a great layout, but the color was dark and dated. Mike was easy to communicate with and recommended a number of other vendors we worked with, who all did a fantastic job. Could not have gone smoother! Communication was excellent and prompt, From the first phone call and visit with Allen and Jane. We refaced cabinets and drawers, and made some changes including pull out shelves and combining 2 small drawers into one. We used their recommended contractors for countertops and tile and also had a great experience with them. We could not be happier with the experience and results. We had a short timeline to work with and everything was completed on schedule.

We discussed several options, and I decided to move forward with refinishing my 25 year old cherry cabinets. Allen's staff was very professional and engaging. Jane, Allen and Michael and the whole crew of Kitchen Tune-Up of Newton were absolutely super. They responded immediately to our request to refresh our kitchen cabinets and drawers. Their quote for the work was in line or slightly better than two other offers we received. This entailed replacing the cabinet doors, drawers, and all hardware, including new soft close hinges and sliders. From beginning to end, the crew were professional, courteous, and respectful of the house. The materials used were of top grade and the build and quality of the installation was impeccable. They even built a new, custom center island for us at the last minute. We would hire them again in a heart beat. We absolutely love our new kitchen! Superb job!!

I couldn't be happier with my new kitchen - Kitchen Tune-Up did a fantastic job literally transforming my kitchen through an easy and painless refacing process. In our first meeting with Allen and Jane, we talked not only about the aesthetics of our new kitchen (color, style, hardware, etc.) but also about ways to improve smaller design details that I never even noticed. That same attention to detail and quality was consistent throughout the process. Mike, Darren, and Joe did a great job on the actual work, and ended up finishing slightly ahead of schedule in 2.5 days. After the work was completed I noticed an area needing a small cosmetic fix and contacted Mike and Allen about it - they got back to me immediately and returned to fix it within two days, no questions asked. Kitchen Tune-Up couldn't have been nicer and more professional to work with - total pros.

They came exactly on the dates as promised, did more work than promised, and charged exactly as quoted. The work was excellent!

I am so pleased with the job that Kitchen Tune-Up did for me! I had previously consulted with kitchen refacing companies who employed aggressive salesmen and used cheap materials. Kitchen Tune-Up is the complete opposite! The sales approach is very low-key, collaborative and professional. To me, the best feature of this company is that they are also skilled cabinetmakers and carpenters, so they can repair or replace any cabinetry that’s required, as well as expertly change the appearance of the other cabinets. I chose the wood door replacement option, with painted wood doors, soft-close hinges, painted wood panels on exposed sides, new drawers - and a new double trash/recycling pull-out, by far my favorite feature! Even better, they showed up on time, kept me informed of their schedule, and ended up completing the job (14 cabinets) in less than 3 days, with minimal disruption. My dated but very sturdy solid wood cabinets now look fresh and new, at less than half the cost of new cabinets. I strongly recommend them!

I had a small job that probably wasn't worth their time, but despite this Allen and Jane sent Darrin by to replace some broken kitchen cabinet hinges for me. One of the hinges was actually glued in place, making it difficult to remove, but Darrin stuck with it, and he was able to replace all of the hinges. Based on this work, I will say without hesitation that these folks are fantastic. If you want a professional, knowledgeable. courteous company to work on your cabinet, this is it.

Kitchen Tune-up of Newton replaced the kitchen doors and door fronts in our kitchen (27 doors and 14 drawer fronts). They also did a new lazy Susan, roll out trash bins and repaired and adjusted existing rollout drawers. Dealing with Alan and Jane was a real pleasure and made the process run very smooth with no problems or surprises. The crew that installed the doors and drawers were efficient, experienced and professional. The solid wood doors and drawers are very high quality and the finish is excellent. I would highly recommend them if you are considering having your kitchen cabinets refaced, you will not be disappointed.
