Fabulous. From start to finish. Professional, pleasant, punctual, careful, thorough, reasonably priced. A pleasure to work with including of course owner Ed Mazer and all the guys who did the heavy lifting. And almost as an afterthought one of the worker bees mentioned that the company donates time and expertise to women who need moving help into and out of battered women's shelters. A terrific company.

These guys were fabulous. I have heard lots of nightmare stories about movers so I was a bit skeptical but these guys were absolutely fabulous and very nice & polite. I would recommend them to anyone!

This was the best move ever. We are 67 and have moved many times in the past. We were impressed with their professionalism and flexibility, as we had a buyer with health issues, so the move date kept changing. We were pleased with a form estimate, followed by a final price quote since I had more time to pack than originally planned. The movers were very respectful and competent. I was so impressed when they dropped off our furniture and spent some extra time moving our bedroom furniture around until we were happy with the room set-up. They were pleasant and had helpful suggestions, always wanting to please! Keep up the good work!

They did a great job! They were willing to do more than I had originally asked for. They really hustled...the guys were literally sprinting around, which was a huge surprise to me since they get paid by the hour. I was very anxious about the moving process, but they made it stress free and effortless. They were nice and very courteous. I really would highly recommend them!

Piece by Piece is excellent. Their professionalism, communication, attention to detail and care they took moving my house was incredible. Moves are always emotional and difficult, but piece by piece made the process easy for us. Customer service levels were high in all the employees we met. We had a big interstate move and all of the men we met between the packing, loading and unloading were accountable, polite and careful. We talked to many moving companies, including those with national van line affiliations, and we couldn't be happier having selected piece by piece. They gave us a binding price, communicated well all along the way, got our belongings down to us in 2 days, and met all their commitments. I highly recommend Piece by Piece.

Excellent. Communication was excellent. Estimate very good. Two movers worked hard. No wasting time. One of the movers was running between the truck and the house. Very satisfied with service.

We heard about Piece by Piece Movers through referrals from two family members who had used them and they got stellar reviews. I was thoroughly impressed with this company in all aspects leading up to the move. They responded very quickly and thoroughly and even came to our home to check out all of our belongings to make sure we got an accurate quote. The original quote we received was around $2,000 which I thought was expensive but given the great referrals and perceived superior quality of work, we decided to hire them. They were very responsive and flexible and really worked closely with us to make sure everything was all set for our big move. The issue came the day of our move. Our old home was at the top of a very large hill and many trucks have a hard time getting up the hill to our driveway, which we made very clear in our initial inquiry and reiterated at the at-home visit with their staff. We were assured that it would not be a problem. The day of the move comes and to our surprise and dismay the two moving trucks could not make it up the hill! As a result their staff had to move all of our belongings down a terribly long, steep, narrow and probably dangerous staircase leading to the road below. Because of this, the move took several hours longer than expected and they had to call in extra man power to help out the guys (not to mention the hour it took for them to try to get up the hill, for which we were paying $200/hour for nothing...) In the end, this extra work cost us an additional $900 which we were really not expecting and honestly couldn't afford with all of the other expenses and closing costs involved with buying a new home. We were too exhausted and stressed out after the whole day to make an issue about it then, but we did contact them later to voice our concerns that we didn't feel we should be responsible for what we felt was not our fault (their trucks not able to drive up hill to our home despite ample warning and discussion about it). Had there been any suggestion that their truck might not work, we absolutely would have hired a different company in the beginning. They responded that their trucks are industry-standard and any other company would have had to do the same thing. That is not true though, because when we moved into the home the movers had no issue making it up the hill. In the end they agreed to refund us 10% of the total move cost which would have been around $290, which is not what I was hoping for but better than nothing. When they processed the refund I only received $134. At that point I was just done dealing with the fiasco. I will say that I have never seen guys work harder and bust their butts while keeping a good attitude about it. Their attitude was better than mine that day and I do want to publicly acknowledge how hard these guys worked, how tough and resilient they acted, and how positive they stayed despite the challenging circumstances. I get winded walking up that hill once... and these guys did it for 8+ hours... wow. I do not in any way want to devalue the extremely hard work they put in, but I am still upset at how much more we had to pay. I think our situation is unique and, hopefully, the next person who hires them will not have to worry about their trucks. I would recommend these guys to friends and family, but we will not be hiring them again because of our experience.

Quick response and thorough quote , which, because they asked lots of questions, was spot on. Patient and capable movers who carefully filled the truck to fit everything in. Only one piece was damaged, and they 'fessed up to it right away. Moving is stressful, but piece by piece did a lot to relieve my stress!

They showed up on time and worked very quickly. They did run out of blankets though. Most of my stuff was boxed and ready to go but many big pieces had to be wrapped. I won't know how my stuff is until I move into my new home in November I assume all went well- the three guys doing the moving were great!

It went fine. There were a couple minor issues, but they were quick to correct them. I would use them again in the future.

The GOOD - they were all very friendly and careful with our belongings. They seemed to be working hard, and both of the homes have a lot of stairs, which makes moving more difficult. We also have a lot of heavy furniture, which they handled without complaint. Regarding the quality of the move and the guys doing the moving, everything was great. The BAD - I understand this is a small local company, and they are young, but their customer service is just TERRIBLE, in my experience. When I received an estimate from Ed, he assured me that it was best to hire 2 trucks (vs. 1) since it would make the loading time faster. Therefore, even though I would pay more per hour for 2 trucks, it would save time overall. This seemed reasonable. However, on the day of the move, something went wrong and only 1 truck arrived. The 2nd truck eventually arrived with a few extra movers, but it was over 2 hours late. At this point, most of the loading was completed, so it didn't really save the time that had been promised. In the end, I expected them to account for this when they settled the bill. However, he actually decided to charge me MORE, saying something about how they brought extra movers with the 2nd truck. Since it was the end of 2 long days of packing and moving, and we were dealing with a cranky infant, I didn't have the energy to argue. The next day, when I decided to look over the invoice more carefully, I realized that they had charged us for several of the boxes and packing materials that they had specifically offered to us for free. We didn't ask for them for free, but they offered. And then they charged me anyway. The final insult came a few days later when their office called me. My initial thought was that they might be calling to apologize for the mix up(s). However, he was calling to say that they realized they had forgotten to charge me $15 for a box. He wanted to let me know I would see it on my credit card. I just said whatever and hung up. I couldn't believe that after we had spent over $3000 on the move, plus several hundred in cash tips each day, plus meals, they were going to "nickel and dime" me for another $15!!! UPDATE- I just noticed your response to my review. Thank you for taking the time to read my comments and write a detailed response. I'm not going to argue with your perspective on how to be fair, but I will say that the final bill was NOT $800 under estimate, as you suggest. It was about $400 under, which is still great. However, this was not due to the move. The savings were due to estimating more packing time and packing materials. My wife and I managed to pack more than we expected in the weeks leading up to our move, meaning your packers didn't stay as long or use as many boxes. If you look at the itemized estimate and your invoices from each day (pack vs. move) you will see that I am correct. My point is, your company didn't provide the moving manpower and equipment promised, and then charged extra on the moving day. That is not an A in my book. And rather than defending yourself every step, perhaps learn to just apologize and make things right. That would be an A in customer service. Your customer service is an F.

The Piece by Piece crew packed and moved our ~850 sf condo and stored everything for over a month in their facility before delivering it to our new home. They were careful and efficient, packed our things very well, and they were very friendly to boot. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They were very personable. The owner came out and was very flexible with the dates. He was able to return my call within a couple hours. Our moved came up last minute. They worked hard to keep the move within our tight budget and even managed to come in under budget.

The movers were very flexible and changes to the job posed no problem for them. We were very happy with the end result and price.

Everything went very smoothly. All of our items were handled with great care and put in the exact place we needed them. Staff was friendly and personable.

My experience with Piece by Piece was excellent from the beginning. I was bale to reach them with the first call, set up the move and arrange for other details. On moving day 3 guys came right on time, and were professional throughout the move. They kept me informed at each step and it all went much more smoothly than I had imagined it could. Although I hope to avoid moving again for a long (long!) time, I would definitely use Piece by Piece Movers again.

The three guys at piece by piece movers moved the heaviest subzero out there from my garage where it was being stored to it's place in our kitchen, on the next level, over 10' of outdoor steps. Each of them introduced themselves and it was clear that once they began to move it, they had a plan. Very courteous, capable and reasonable.

I was unbelievably impressed by the quality of the service that Piece to Piece Movers provided. They were prompt, careful, fast, professional and generally nice guys to work with. We had some hiccups with the new house not being ready when we arrived to move in, and the Piece by Piece crew worked with me to make the best of the situation. They were the bright spot in a hairy moving day. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Jacob, Colin, and Will -- the three movers who came to our house -- were excellent. Professional. Pleasant. Considerate. Hard working. Those three guys made what is usually a lousy day into a bearable experience. They were fast, efficient, and careful, and they accommodated our various requests, making move-in day a success. We'll recommend them to our friends when they need movers.

We originally hired Piece by Piece Movers to move one room of furniture out for a day to allow a new carpet to be installed. They were so good and so accommodating that we then hired them to move our daughter's whole house a month later. They were reliable, punctual and went above and beyond their role to help place furniture correctly in the new location. They worked very hard to make sure everything was perfect.
