The owner was very nice and helpful. He repaired the lock well. He was prompt and seemed to know what he was doing; he also seemed knowledgeable. His pricing was reasonable and fair as well.

We had a break-in and he was able to come the same day I called him to change the locks. Great service, excellent communication by email and phone, very pleasant guy (Gordon, the owner, did the work). Did exactly what I wanted, gave helpful advice on options, cleaned everything up completely. Very high quality work.

The job went very well. Gordon is refreshing in that he cares about his work and his customers. He made a number of great suggestions as we walked through the work. He got it done quickly with no issues at a very reasonable price. I've had bad experiences with locksmiths charging large sums and demanding cash - Gordon does not operate this way. I highly recommend him.

The technician was very friendly and informative about security locks and other home security measures I visted with him while he worked and found him entertaining, informative and intelligent.He also came over promptly when called.

I would definitely recommend BONDED LOCK SERVICE INC. They did a great job, with a tough house. Nothing is easy to repair on my house and he stayed until 11pm putting on my new locks. It was a job that should have taken 2 hours but because of my old doors and locks took closer to 5. He only charged me for the 2 hours and was a professional throughout the whole experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Bonded Lock.

My girlfriend lost her keys and did not have a spare for her car. I called Bonded Lock on Monday morning based on reviews here. Gordon answered the phone right and scheduled an appointment for his partner Bob to come out in 2 hours. He asked if the car ignition needed the key to have a transponder. We were sure as the car is an old 1999 Honda Accord. The service without a transponder key was going to cost $200 to take apart a lock and make a key + a small cost for a second key. It was no problem for Bob to open the car door, pop the trunk, and remove the trunk lock. He made 2 keys. They worked except when we tried starting the car. The key turned, but the car wouldn't turn over. After a little bit, he figured out the blinking green key icon on the dashboard was telling us no transponder was detected. It was going to be an extra cost because it required a special computer hookup and keys with transponders. It would be $380 for the service and first key + $75 for a second key. Bob called his brother who owns Archer Lock to come by to help out since he has one of these devices and transponder keys. We waited a good 15-20 minutes outside in the nice weather and chatted. Once his brother arrived, they set to work in getting the code from the car and programming that onto the keys. One key was brand new. The only other key he had that would work was already cut on one side. I ended up with a key that works regardless of which way it goes into the ignition and any lock. The other key only works on one side. It was better than having to pay for a future service call and I can live with a key that's cut properly on one side as an emergency spare. The entire process took about 2 hours. Bonded offers a 10% discount so the final price was $409.50. It seems a bit steep, but when you're in a bind, what can you do? I didn't call around to do any price comparison so I don't know how competitive that way. If you're reading this review and think that in a really good price, then you can consider my price to be an A instead of a B. I was really impressed by the quality of the service provided. Bob was a great guy and fun to talk with while we had time to kill. I will definitely call them in the future when other lock issues come up. Also big kudos to Bob's brother from Archer Lock. I see a listing on Angie's List, but there isn't much information on their page so I'll refrain from commenting on it as I don't know if that's him or not.

Gordon returned my call within 24 hours of leaving a message. He took down the information of my request and location and was able to schedule Bob in the next weekend. Bob came early, was very professional and offered his expertise in what I needed and didn't need. I just closed on the house the day before and he suggested the type of lock for the basement door and rekeying of 4 other doors. Bob looked at the garage keys since I had mentioned them to Gordon, but they were too old for him to work with. There were at least 15 other people in the house working and Bob maneuvered around everything. I am very satisfied with the work

Things went great with Gordon. I had recently bought a new house and needed the locks updated/changed. Before he arrived, he requested photos of the locks so he knew what the job would entail. He scoped out what needed to be done, offered advice, gave estimates for the various options. He replaced two deadbolts and installed one new one on the first visit and a couple weeks later came back and installed another new deadbolt on the back cellar door. I found Gordon easy to work with and professional. He offered a 10% Angie's List discount even though I wasn't a member yet. On his second visit he didn't charge me for the service call, just for the parts and labor. I'll absolutely use Gordon again and recommend him for sure.

Gordon performed the job himself. He arrived a little later than agreed on, but all was excused. Gordon did an outstanding job in our house. He was able to not only rekey all existing locks and dead bolts, he was also able to do a couple of fixes to doors that didn't want to close. The job done on the garage door that started the day was incredible. We would definitely recommend Gordon and Bonded Lock to anyone looking for exceptional locksmiths.

He was extremely attentive, careful, thorough, and worked long hours to give us what we wanted. He was absolutely professional and trustworthy. We even got an Angie's List discount.

Bob arrived promptly and was at our house for about 2 1/2 hours. After I showed him what needed to be done, he carefully drew up the invoice. Though it was more than my husband and I had thought we would be spending, we decided that we wanted the piece of mind of having five brand new, sturdy locks, and so we proceeded. Bob worked quietly and systematically. When he was done, he cleaned up the messes he had made, the locks looked exceptionally high quality and well installed. Bob even took the time to fix our front screen door, which had pulled out of its hinges. He did that without our asking, and without charging us extra, and he did an excellent job. We feel very satisfied with the job Bob did, and very happy and safe in our new home.

I went on Angie's list to find a locksmith on Friday, Sept.21 (after 5pm). I narrowed it down to two companies & emailed them both. The next day, I got an email response back from Gordon saying to give him a call. This was a Saturday morning. I called after 11am which he asked me to do. I sent him pictures of all the locks on my doors since I could not provide information on the keys. We scheduled an appointment for him to come down Monday between 12:30-1:30pm. Now, here's the kicker...the transmission in my minivan failed so that took priority. I went on angie's list once again to find someone to fix it. (this will be in another review). I felt bad to ask the locksmith to come a bit later in the day or reschedule. but he was very understanding and said he'd come at 3pm. A friendly man named Bob showed up at 3:15pm, listened to what I wanted done and came up with a price. I asked if there was a discount for Angie List members & he gave me a 10% discount. He went to work and finished everything in 2 hours. He even showed me problems where the bolt wasn't correctly lining up on one of my doors. He drilled and fixed that issue and I noticed a difference as soon as I tried the lock. It was effortless! Before he left, Bob had me try the keys on all the locks he changed. Everyone was a smooth fit. I liked how Bob didn't cut an corners and made sure each lock was a perfect fit, even when the previous locks were not lined up. I appreciated his flexibility in coming later in the day and for doing a great job so soon after I contacted them.

We had the locksmith come to fix a broken lock and he was prompt, made some suggestions for handling the problem and made the repairs. His work was done in a prompt manner and when done he cleaned up after himself. The old lock on the door which he had to replace was installed somewhat incorrectly and the locksmith went about to correct the situation and install the new lock the correct way. He was very responsive when we contacted him and overall it was a very good experience.

We recently got all our locks rekeyed. Gordon was punctual and pleasant to work with. He changed all the locks in our house for a very reasonable fee. Along the way he also noticed a couple of loose door frames and a problem with one of our back doors where it could be opened from the outside. He did all of that for us at no extra charge.

Went jogging and locked my keys in the house. Fortunately, I had my phone on me so I was able to look up a local locksmith on Angie's List. Called the locksmith, who patiently gathered the information and said he'd arrive in twenty minutes. Having had bad experiences with other locksmiths, I was skeptical, but twenty minutes later he pulled up and quickly got me back into my house. The charge was exactly the same as he stated on the phone, and the entire process went very smoothly. Hopefully I won't lock myself out again. But if I do, this is the guy I'll call.

I don't usually write reviews, but Bonded Lock Service definitely rates a review.I live in Charlestown and, on Saturday evening, find that I cannot lock my side entrance to my condo. (Not good if you live in C-town). To make things worse the old Seger deadbolt lock has locked in my key and there it is for anyone passing by to see.I called Bonded. Gordon answered promptly, took down my information, and dispatched really superb repairman, within 45 minutes of my call. His given name is Ty Min, from Taiwan, and he goes by Bob. Bob got down to business with little fanfare, broke down the old deadbolt and lock, replaced a few parts, lubricated what was surely 30 years of weathered equipment, re-mounted, the whole system and it works perfectly. The service is superb, and if the price seems high, consider this an emergency call on a weekend and the charge for that service was only $65. Would I recommend this firm for other work! You bet. Ask for Bob.

Bob showed up right on time and got right to work. He asked questions to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted and did the job well. He was also very pleasant to chat with as well as very professional.

He came out on a Saturday night, it was hard enough to find someone at that time, but Gordon came right out and got me into my bedroom. He is very prompt, professional. He cleaned up after himself and there was no mess. I have used him for 15 years and he knows my house. He is professional and trustworthy.

I called Gordon a few days before I wanted to have the doors rekeyed. He was readily accessible and quickly gave me a quote for the work over the phone. Gordon showed up at the house on-time and was extremely professional and courteous. Shortly after he left I thought there was an issue with the door as I couldn't get the key out. I immeadiately called Gordon and he turned around and came right back to the house. It turns out the issue was my fault as I didn't know the orientation to take the key out of the door as I had just bought the house. Gordon kindly shoed me how to properly take the key out and told me to hesitate to contact him if anything else came up. I would highly recommend the services of Bonded Lock Service.

The lock on my front door has never worked properly in the twelve years we have lived in this house. The keys turned hard, and the handle always stuck, to the point that I had wondered at times how we would get out if there was ever an emergency and we had to leave quickly. Several handy men had looked at it over the years, all of them shaking their heads and saying "door locks are tricky. You should get a locksmith in here to fix that." It took a while to listen, but I am so glad I did, and I am so glad I called Bonded Lock Service. Gordon was fun to talk with, and his serviceperson he sent out had my door fixed, 'smooth as buttah' in about 20 minutes. I have a new lock, and two freshly made keys. Really, it works sooo much better, I am really, really glad it is finally fixed. He also showed me how to make sure the door stays working. "Don't touch or move these two screws." Okay!Oh, and from the time I made my first call to the time my door was fixed was two hours. I am astonished at the prompt service and professionalism. Thank you Gordon!

I have used them a couple of times prior to this job. They have evening hours which I like and are quick to get to your needs.

He did a great job - very nice guy who knows his stuff. I highly recommend him. From the minute I called him via his Angie's listing, he was courteous and professional. He completed the work in three hours, replacing and fixing locks that hadn't been worked on in many years. Thank you, Gordon!
