Hi. I'm Gabe Berardi. Since 1998, Berardi Irrigation has been installing and servicing irrigation systems for commercial, residential, and golf course applications. Installation is a major part of our business but it’s not everything. Berardi Irrigation has a strong focus on personal service, water consumption, reliability, and superior design. After the appointment for a free estimate has been set, Gabe will personally walk your property, designing a system which will best fit your yard’s needs. Gabe will also describe how he arrived at the personal quote which is delivered on site. He will also be happy to explain exactly what you are getting and address any questions or concerns you may have. Gabe may even suggest the “separate meter option” which is allowed in some towns and can save you money on water in the long run.

"The installation crew was very professional, hard working, and completed a beautiful job in 3 days. We are incredibly happy with the overall outcome. However, my issue lies with the business team and their lack of communication and negligence of customer requests. In my email discussing the project details, I said I wanted "the privacy with scalloped picket top in white with gothic caps." I also said that I didn't see latch options for gates, but that I wanted handles. I received the quote quickly after, and didn't catch that the picket top was not included in the quote. I didn't see handles either, but was informed it came with the gates so I didn't question. We spoke with our neighbors and all but one were ok with installation. He refused to allow us to remove his rusted and broken fence, which meant we lost a few feet of our property as we had to move in front of the tree line that bordered his fence on our side. This also meant the installation cost would decrease because they were now only removing one less section of fence (it was confirmed this would be the case if a neighbor refused during the quote process). They confirmed the installation date quickly, but I asked for the updated quote several times over the next week and a half. There were sometimes days between replies and all I got was a few, we'll send it shortly's, and an email confirmation after my fourth request that the cost would be $150 less. Installation went smoothly, until I saw that flat caps were installed instead of the gothic caps I requested. I checked my quote and saw that gothic was listed, and that's when I noticed that the picket top I requested in my details email was missing from the quote. I asked the installation crew and they informed me there was no picket top and that they were told flat caps were needed. I then noticed that there were no handles on the gates. At this point I was fed up with the office because of the horrible communication from them I'd already experienced, and called the quote guy. He picked up right away and informed me that handles were not included (which is not was I was told, nor did he bother to mention when I specifically requested them in my original email). He said that they could, however, put them on without issue and that he would personally inspect in the morning at 9. The next day he showed an hour and a half late for our appointment (for an emergency I was told, but it's yet another point where there wasn't any communication informing me of that until I called him). Upon our discussion, he said someone would come by Thursday to add the missing handles and to fix a post placement. I informed him I was happy with the look of the fence and that we could keep the caps and the scalloped only with no picket, but the point was that what I originally requested was ignored. Imagine if I'd been a customer who wasn't happier with what was installed vs. what I'd chosen? It would have been an absolute nightmare to fix, especially with the communication issues I'd already been having. He played if off that it was fate that this particular fence happened to be in stock because now they were several weeks out for other fence styles. Not the point, but I let it go. Thursday came and I received no confirmation as to a time someone would come. I called the twice, then finally got a response saying someone would come at noon. Noon came, then an hour and a half later I called to get an update. No response. I called a few more times over the next few hours (I did leave a voicemail as well). Still no response. After 5 hours I sent an email stating I would escalate the situation if the lack of communication continued, and that I STILL hadn't received a document with the new pricing. Within a few minutes someone responded that they'd be there at 6:30 and hoped I understood that the rain is what held them up. I understood how the rain could delay the installation crew, but do not understand how the rain excuses the people at the office who are indoors. They could have provided an updated ETA, but didn't until I threatened escalation. Because of their quick response after I'd done that, this tells me that they'd been seeing my calls and just ignoring them. The crew came at 6:30 and added the handles and fixed the post. I inspected and thanked the crew and the job was completed. Again, this review has NOTHING to do with the installation crew and the work they did. We've gotten so many compliments from neighbors on it and we love it. It has everything to do with the unprofessionalism of the office staff. So if you hire, be prepared for that."

"I reached out to Liam to to possibly hire him to remodel two bathrooms for me. He came over to look at them and sent me an estimate. There were a few items we had discussed that were wrong on the estimate, and there were also a few new (minor) items we hadn’t discussed I wanted to add into scope, so I set up a follow up phone call with Liam. While on the phone with Liam, I had asked if he was licensed as a Construction Supervisor, which I read on Mass.gov was a requirement for my project scope. Liam said he was and when I asked for him to provide his license # when he sends me the revised estimate, he agreed to do so. (For context behind my request, Mass.gov had only showed his HIC license but not a CS license, and the phone rep I had spoken with also confirmed he was not licensed a CS. But I wanted to give Liam the benefit of the doubt…perhaps the license was not listed under his name, but maybe a partner name). The morning after our phone convo, I received this text from Liam: “Good morning, After speaking with you yesterday morning I've decided I do not want to do the project for you, I wish you all the best and finding another contractor. But I'm clearly not interested.” Huh? What the heck is this about? Since Liam didn’t give me the reason why he “clearly wasn’t interested” and when I responded to ask, I found he had blocked me from contacting him. I strongly caution anyone considering Liam to hire. This experience leaves me to believe he is not an honest, trustworthy, or legally qualified professional. He most surely does not have the CS license he claimed he has and was forced to bail on the project since he knew he couldn’t back up that claim with a license #. Liam evidently had no respect for me as a person. If he did he would have given me the common courtesy of the reason for his sudden loss of interest (or leave me the ability to respond to him to ask). I feel I dodged a bullet by doing some basic due diligence before hiring him (as I have done for every contractor I have hired for my projects in my 20+ years of owning a a home.) I strongly suggest that you think twice before contacting Liam for work to be done. Is this how YOU want to be treated? Is this someone you want to entrust your time and hard earned money to?"

In most cases, professional organizers are well worth the investment. They often handle decluttering, which can take hours of work, and professional home and garage organization solutions that homeowners wouldn’t often think about. In many cases, homeowners will recognize the true value of a professional organizer during the weeks following the project’s finish when they use their new space and realize the improved quality of life that comes with convenient and thoughtful storage and organization.
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Professional organizers charge $55 to $100 per hour, with average per-project rates costing $510. If you need help with basic decluttering and organizing of your garage, expect to pay $200 to $700. On the other hand, major reorganization projects can cost $1,500 to $5,000, including installing shelves and storage solutions. Expect to pay more for professional organization help if you need specialty storage solutions, like cabinets and toolboxes for a workshop or a ceiling-mounted kayak or bike storage option.
