They showed up on time and were efficient - I used a deal coupon for a check-up and the service guy was looking for add-on payments. I ended up paying extra to have a sump pump wired in (it wasn't wired in correctly the first time to turn off the unit in case of an overflow). Overall a good experience.

ARS - Heating & Air Conditioning Services were great. They did a really good job. I've already recommended them to a couple of other people, just in the neighborhood.

I bought the inspection/tune-up coupon. Chris came out and arrived when they said he would. He was polite, professional and competent. Chris took a look at the system gave me some good recommendations (especially given it's an older unit) without being pushy and was a pleasure to deal with. I will use these guys again in the future.

I have owned the house for 11 years and the HVAC system has always had issues. I had the system evaluated 5-6 years ago, and was told that a whole new system needed to be put in place. That work was done by another company and it never worked right. I had to have lots of service calls to keep it running. This year I decided to have the system reevaluated. I had several companies come by to offer their opinions and solutions. As it turns out the system that was in the house was a mish mash of components that could never really work together. I was definitely frustrated. ARS provided the most comprehensive evaluation and best solutions. They were really honest and clearly explained what was going on and why I was having issues. The best part was that they provided clear solutions. Their message wasn't an easy one to deliver because of the earlier investment, but it was the right thing to do. Their crew came right on time and some significant work was needed to get solve the problem the right way. The work was done efficiently and very professionally. I was very happy with each of the crew members I met and they demonstrated genuine care in the service they were providing. The price was reasonable for the amount of work and equipment needed. I had other quotes and ARS was in line with the other companies. Well, we're having one of the hottest summers ever, and I'm thrilled with the work. I know in previous years, I'd be sweating (literally and figuratively) with my old system. It works amazingly. The service and equipment were fantastic. For the first time in 11 years, I can say I'm happy with the HVAC in my house. I would definitely recommend ARS to friends and family.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and the service was okay. They were very nice and the service was good.

I used a big deal to have my AC unit inspected. Tech noticed a part needed replacement so an $80 inspection turned into a $300 job. The tech was very nice and professional. Showed me the wear on the part so I knew he wasn't just replacing it for profit. Thought the cost was a bit pricey but what isn't these days.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were very good, they were excellent. We had it scheduled and they kept the schedule and performed the service very well. They took care of everything and we are really happy with the service. The gentleman was very nice and very knowledgeable.

Shortly after I got the "deal" coupon, the company called to set up an appointment - very responsive. The tech. showed up right in the agreed upon time and was very prompt in surveying the age and status of the system (approx. 25 yrs. old) and gave it a thorough exam. It was low on gas and rather than wanting to test the system for a leak and recharge it; he was more interested in selling me a new system for $7000.00. He gave me a short story's worth of reasons why he could not recharge the system; said even though the system was too old, everything else appeared to be operating fine, and gave me a new air filter. I later called another company that came out, checked the whole system out; was not able to pinpoint a leak, but was able to recharge the system for me. Their best estimate is a possible leak in the coil in the air handler with a replacement cost of several hundred dollars (not 7000.00) if the coil is not repairable. My A/C has been working very well so far since then even with all of the days in the 90's we've had.

The technician came on time and took a look at the outdoor AC unit and said mice had damaged the wires and could take all day to fix it and tried to convince me to change the whole unit. When I requested him to just fix the wires he fixed it and charged me $650. He was in at 11.55AM EST and was out by 1.55PM EST. For 2 hours $650? The 2 hours included him writing up the visit report, giving me a bill and taking a cursory look at the unit in the attic. $650 for 2 hours seems outrageous. What do you think?

We ended up replacing unit and added duct work. Quoted $ 5900 which we thought was reasonable. Coming next week to install.

Dave was professional, clear in his explanations, and friendly. He explained what he was able to do along the way and gave me the pros and cons about replacing my systems.

I purchased two Angie's Big deals for A/C tuneup at $79 for each unit. The tech who showed up was professional and did the work required. They provided a written assessment of the work done including recommendations. I would probably use them again.

He arrived quite late (the appointment window was 7-9am; I believe he arrived at 10) but once he came was very professional. He cleaned out the drain line, replaced the filter, and did a couple of other things. He also provided an estimate of various other work items recommended for the system (I suspect this is the main reason ARS offers this Angie's List coupon). I asked him to show me each item, and while I'm not really familiar with the internals of the A/C system, it didn't seem like he was making up stuff that was totally unnecessary. (I did end up eventually doing all those repairs with ARS).

The technician arrived on time and ready to go. He explained everything that he did, and gave us a recommended schedule to change the air filters for the AC/Furnace. We would definitely use them again, and will this year when it's time to switch on the heat!

The service went very well. The serviceman that came was on time, very profession and very knowledgeable He did a complete check up of the unit.. He explained some of the pros and cons of updating my unit . Overall, I was very pleased with the visit and would highly recommend this company.

Overall very good. When we called they were very professional and clearly stated earliest opportunity for a visit and service. Unfortunately they couldn't get to us for the first visit for a week due to backlog. This is why we gave them a B for responsiveness. But at least they didn't string us along and promise a visit that was unrealistic, like one of their competitors. For the first visit, the technician called on the morning of service to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. He performed a very thorough check out of both our AC systems and provided a detailed estimate of what needed to be repaired or replaced. He also pointed out safety and code violations from work performed by a previous service provider. Since the furnace and AC unit needed to be replaced, he left us a detailed estimate and gave us his cell number so we ask questions while we considered our options. We called to arrange for the replacement on a Friday and they were able to schedule the work for the next Monday. We even received a call on Saturday confirming that they had all the inventory needed to perform the work in one day. On the day of service they were a little later than we anticipated. But they completed the work in one day as promised. All old hardware was removed. Technicians were courteous and professional. No mess was left behind. The invoice matched the estimate. No hidden fees or other charges.

I called them to set up an appointment and spoke with Cindy. The conversation did not go well. They said that my problem did not qualify for the Deal, and they refused to apply the amount I paid towards the work that needed to be done. I ended up returning the Deal with that company for a Deal with another one.

Service rep (Marc E.) showed up around the time given us and did the tune up as stated in the Angie's List deal I signed up for. While he was here I talked to him about some issued we were having with the unit not always going on when it was supposed to. He looked into it and discovered a wire that had been chewed on and also a common that was bad. He was here about 3 hours doing diagnostics and the repairs. The price of $150 was reasonable. Best of all, last night the system worked the best it has in a long time. I fell like I have a "go to" company the next time my air conditioning system malfunctions.

Bought this deal on Angie's List for $79. Within one hour of buying the deal, this service provider called to set up the appointment. Luckily he was able to get a technican out that same day. Dave arrived at the set time, and took the time to explain everything that he was gong to check, and do. Whole process went great, and Dave did everything that he said he would do, and after he was done, made sure he cleaned up, and left our home as it was before he arrived. The over-all experience was great, and we would definetly use this service provider again. Would recommend this service provider to anyone needing A/C service!!!
