Jim Curtin was excellent. He was on-time, very business-like, and serious about getting the job done properly. He replaced a damper in my cooling system and re-wired an overflow sensor. He did the work quickly, even though he ran into a few problems. The final price was less than the quote by about $90. He was very good about explaining what he was doing and why. I highly recommend ARS and Jim to anyone in the area.

Eveyrthing went well. The reason I had them come over was I needed a float switch installed in addition to doing the basic service. Unfortunately, i didn't describe the type of float switch i would need (mostly because I know nothing about the part) and Jim didn't have one handy to install. He cleaned the pipes so I should be fine til next year so I'll do the switch then. Jim was great to work with.

It went really well. It was easy to schedule the appointment and the lady on the phone nice enough to let me know about a cancellation and move my appointment up based on my availability. The person who came over was knowledgeable and the overall service was reasonably priced. The technician did not try to sell me more and attended to the problem professionally. I would definitely use ARS for future HVAC needs.

It didn't go well. Five weeks later the freon was all gone and I called them again. I don't know who I spoke with but he said there are no guarantees with the sealant and they would have to do a leak pressure test which would cost $1500 and that would not include the repair if they found the leak and again, there was no guarantee. He said, "The technician advised you to replace the system but you didn't want to". When I told him the system was only six years old, he was silent for a minute and then said, well you just don't know how long a unit sat around in a warehouse, so when you had it installed, means nothing. I said that this just sounded like a scam. He said let us know if you want to do the test. I called a few other repair places after ARS failed to fix the system and wanted to charge me $1500 for another test. These other companies only charged $30 per pound for freon so I got totally ripped off by ARS on that charge. All of them said my six year old system should last 15 to 20 years and shouldn't need to be replaced. I hired Coastal Heating and Air Conditioning to come out and look at the unit. They boosted the freon and put a dye in the system. They came back 48 hours later and with an ultra violet light, they found the leak in the line right at the base of the outside unit. They repaired that and did a pressure test to make sure that the system was fine. This was the test ARS wanted to charge me $1500 without guarantees. My entire repair cost with the new freon from Coastal was a total of $406 for two visits. It has been several weeks and the system is running fine. I asked the Coastal technician if he could tell how old my unit was. He found the date of manufacturing right on the label with the model number and the serial number. The unit was installed one month after it was made. So even that excuse by ARS that they couldn't tell how old a unit was, and how long it sat around in a warehouse, wasn't true. The Coastal tech said all units are marked with a date code. When I told the Coastal technician that another company advised me to replace the entire system, he was shocked. He said the system was good and should last 15 to 20 years even if it needs some repairs during it's lifetime. Based on my conversations with Coastal and two other a/c repair companies, everything I was told by ARS was not true and they totally ripped me off on what they charged me. Telling me to completely replace my system that was still partially under a 10 year warranty just smells of scam. No, I would never use or trust this company again.

I am happy to report that ARS took care of the problem I had with them as far as repairing the damage to my stairs in result of dragging out the old water heater and bringing in the new one on a hand truck that left notches in every stair step back on March 27, 2015. After speaking with their wonderful customer service Rep the issue was resolved very much to my satisfaction. The reason it took so long was two fold. A break down in communications between ARS, the remodeling company and myself for one reason or another. And the fact that they were experiencing a high volume of work due to the record amount of snowfall this winter, and for that , I understand. I still feel however, that the original price I was was charged ($1,475) was exorbitant. Thanks again to Linda for being the ultimate professional. Doug was very good also when I spoke with him on the matter. I would definitely use ARS again as long as we can agree on a price...Lol.

The service went very well. The technician arrived on time, was very friendly and willingly answered all of my questions. He did not try to "Push" any additional service and took the time to let me know that my A/C unit was in excellent working order. i would definity use again and would recommend. They were very professional!

This was an $89 air conditioning system check/maintenance ideal. We had two units (one with two zones, one with one zone) and they honored the $89 price for the second unit. The technician was prompt, knowledgable, energetic and efficient, and very pleasant to work with. I was shocked that the drain problem did not result in an extra fee for services, but it was all included. I will definitely use ARS again.

I purchased a tune-up for my Mitsubishi Split A/C. After checking the condenser outside, the technician found that the unit had a leak. He showed where in the outdoor heat exchanger coil was the problem. I asked for a quote to fix the unit. I got two quotes: a quote of $1,900 for replacing the part (two weeks back ordered) or $3,800 to replace the outdoor condenser completely. It seemed very high, as I had THE WHOLE system only five years ago for $2,500 (including the wiring, drilling, conduits, electrical, etc). I went on the internet and after a quick search I found the identical (make, model) new condenser unit at around $800 (with free delivery). I couldn't believe that the quote was $3,000 over that. Needless to say, I will not use the company for the job.

It went excellent. It was about $400 more than the original price of $89 but that was because the unit needed new parts. The unit is about 13 years old and the provider told me I didn't have to do them at that point and I could wait, but I decided to do them while he was there. He was professional and courteous and did a very thorough job. I will use ARS again and definitely recommend them to others.

Since they have come, we have had multiple issues with our carbon monoxide/smoke detectors going off in the house; we have replaced the detectors so we know it’s not them.

I purchased $99 A/C tune up deal. This was the first time we are using ARS. ARS called immediately to schedule the service date. They called me a day before to confirm the appointment. The technician arrived on scheduled time. He checked all the oil, electirical components. He was very professional and explained things clearly. We have an issue with our A/C. It was not cooling the house properly. He checked it and added 2 lbs of R22. He also rinsed conder coil. Everything went really well. He did a great job. We will definitely stick with them for our future Heating/AC servicing.

The service went great. I had no problems. They were good. They explained everything and they were good. They offered an additional service and I accepted it.

We ordered a tune up for our ancient "magic chef" furnace (what a stupid name). We knew it was on it's last legs, we had a visit from mass save and a home assessment and it came up. The technician recommended a tune up to help prolong things. The process for booking it was easy after I purchased it. ARS came out and did what I think was a great job - I know nothing about furnaces so I have no way of checking ha! The overall verdict for the furnace however was not good. While he was there I had them give us a quote for a new furnace to go through mass save. We are still in the process of sorting that out, and will get one this summer before the winter (remember last winter? well I basically spent 4 months after ARS came trying to get other quotes but things were so insane that other vendors stood me up or never followed through with quotes, so I was starting to get paranoid about the state of my furnace.) ARS were the ONLY ONES that followed up on my calls and actually gave a relatively good quote and didn't talk to me like I was a moron. Also their local customer service people on the phone are great too. I would definitely use them in the future.

He was great. They were wonderful. I'd use them again in a flash.

The technician arrived and noticed we have two air condition service units. We decided to have both of them done. We agreed to get on a schedule rotation with this contractor. I would recommend this contractor.

An ARS rep called me the day before my scheduled appt to confirm the 3 hour timeframe the technician would show up. The tech, Nick, showed up timely. He was quick, professional, explained the problem and what he did to fix the unit. He also made suggestions for updating the unit, but with no sales pressure at all, which was nice. I will definitely call this company again if I should require their services in the future.

The service was entirely professional, the guy was helpful and answered my questions. Totally professional, and I would recommend them!

It was great. I was happy. They came out probably within a couple of weeks after the big deal was purchased. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal price. They were right on time.

I showed the service technician Mark E the paperwork and explained the problem. Within an hour he figured the problem out. The refrigerant was low in the unit. ( I don't know why the install company could not figure that out. ) He added the refrigerant and now it is working great, like the first year I had it. It's only 3 years old. I will definitely be calling ARS in the future and ask for Mark E as the service provider.I am now happy and cool.
