Description of Work: The plumber who arrived was excellent. Very informative. Gave me a quote for future work that I want to have done. Installed a flapper valve in one toilet and charged $75. My understanding of the special I had signed for was that if a flapper valve was required, that was the one thing that would be covered. Perhaps I misunderstood the detail section of the special that was listed by Angie. | |The quote for future work turned out to be about 50% higher than a Mashpee plumber quoted me this past week. I'm going ahead with this $1000.+ project and the local plumber. I assume that travel time from off-cape plays a role in the quote difference.

His recommendations to replace one or all of the toilets in the house was extravagant and unnecessary by my standards. |I think perhaps he didn't understand the "old house" mentality: things that have lasted for 30+ years can be repaired rather than replaced.
