Description of Work: ARS serviced my gas furnace (single pipe steam). Everything about the experience was outstanding. I won't hesitate to call them again and recommend them without reservations.

Description of Work: IRS came a long way and arrived as scheduled and on time. They performed a periodic cleaning and inspection on my gas/hot water furnace. They left the area tidy. However, 4 months later the furnace stopped working. The problem was that the electronic ignition needed replacing. My feeling was that the worn-out state of this part should have been picked up by the inspection. Also, the plumber reported that one of the heat-exchange rods had been replaced reversed after IRS inspection.

Description of Work: I was told that it costs $200 just to come to the home. So they didn't provide any services aside from quoting costs for suggested work.

Description of Work: The serviceman checked my air conditioning system, turned off my humidifier, replaced the filter, and analyzed the electrical usage.The serviceman was very punctual, considerate, and professional. I was very pleased.

Description of Work: The technician tuned up the central a/c. He explained that my system was 25+ years old and had some parts that were on their last legs, and I could either repair or wait until they go and buy a new a/c. He gave estimates of both. The technician seemed very knowledgeable. I would definitely use ARS again.

Description of Work: Toilet tune-up and plumbing inspection, snaked drains, replaced thermocouple and pressure gauge on water heater, repaired bathtub drain trip lever. My overall experience was superb! The price was less than quoted in the estimate. ARS office staff was prompt, professional and cordial in e-mail and telephone communication. Workers arrived exactly on time with a courtesy call to let me know that they were arriving. The Angie's List coupon offer was performed by a journeyman plumber, and remaining work was done by a master plumber two days later. Both representatives were well-groomed, efficient, nice to talk to, and only entered the house after donning booties. Time to complete work was less than estimated, and when they left, the worksite was immaculate. We asked ARS to check carefully for any plumbing issues that might be of concern to us in order get our home is excellent shape to list it for sale. ARS understood this and addressed our sluggish drains, out of date thermocouple and pressure gauge on water heater, and sticky bathtub drain trip lever. (We accepted their recommendations and used Angie's List to find a painter and mover as well.) We received many compliments on the condition of our home-which we've maintained by using Angie's List professionals--and accepted an offer on the day our home was listed.

Description of Work: His services were done very professionally and I would recommend him to others. We put off some plumbing jobs that we needed to have done, and we were glad to finally have one person do everything while he was here.

Description of Work: The plumber who arrived was excellent. Very informative. Gave me a quote for future work that I want to have done. Installed a flapper valve in one toilet and charged $75. My understanding of the special I had signed for was that if a flapper valve was required, that was the one thing that would be covered. Perhaps I misunderstood the detail section of the special that was listed by Angie. | |The quote for future work turned out to be about 50% higher than a Mashpee plumber quoted me this past week. I'm going ahead with this $1000.+ project and the local plumber. I assume that travel time from off-cape plays a role in the quote difference.
