Description of Work: I signed up for a $99 furnace inspection; it ended up costing me $700 dollars for supposed failing pieces of the furnace-this after having been maintained for years without this coming up. I ended up paying for replacement parts and labor and now the furnace makes a loud noise when running...

Description of Work: I purchased the deal from angies list for A/C tuneup. Ryan showed up on time and did good job checking both inside and outside. It took an good hour. everything is smooth. he did notice some aging parts but I prefer to let them run instead of replacing them at this time.

Description of Work: ARS came to check to AC units of mine. They did the job and pointed out some problems that might occur in the future without hard selling me. I thought they did a nice job. My one complaint is it took several weeks to get a slot, and so I'd worry if there were an emergency.

Description of Work: ARS came by to deliver an AC Tune-Up which I'd purchased as a Deal from Angie's List. The technician Gary was excellent - very personable and competent. Our AC was new to us due to our not having used it in our new home, and Gary not only showed me how to use the (rather un-simple) thermostat, he also got the system running for the first time for us. We're delighted. He gave us a quote for some possible services but did not pressure us to buy them, which I really appreciated.

Description of Work: The provider performed an inspection and tune up of my A/C system. I have a dual zone and they gave me the same ANgie's List deal for the second unit as they did for the first which was great. The provider was prompt, pleasant, took his time to explain was he was doing but in the end with recommended repairs to the system a $200 tune up turned into $750. Also tried to talk me into a $12,000 new A/C system. The units are old but still functioning fine. Overall though a very positive experience.

Description of Work: ARS installed a new two-stage natural gas furnace for me when my old one died in the middle of one of our major snowstorms last winter. I would have been in a huge bind without them as the house was reading 43 degrees F on the day they arrived (which was one day after I called them.) They removed the old furnace and had the replacement up and running in about 3 hours...fast, professional and courteous. Their pricing was fair and represented ~25% savings vs. the next competitor (for the same brand / model of furnace and installation.) I would have no problem using them again.
