We have a 2,500 sq ft colonial home that we wanted to convert to gas (we had an approx. 50-year old oil furnace) and add in A/C. We had forced hot air ductwork in place. After getting bids and ideas from 4 different vendors, we settled on the Lynch Company. They installed a Trane high-efficiency gas furnace, air cleaners, and two separate Train A/C systems (1 in the basement, and 1 in the attic) with new supplies and returns from the attic AC to the 2nd floor bedrooms. We have been extremely pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness of this group. The other 3 vendors we quoted with came highly recommended as well, but they didn't come close to Lynch in terms of thinking through our options and responsiveness. Bill Doirin was extremely helpful walking us through the options. And Andy, who installed all of the units, could not have been more of a professional. The plumbers and electrician that they brought in as part of the team were excellent as well. Everyone took great care to explain what they were doing and why. Back to the system, it would have been cheaper for us to do ONE attic A/C that we then snaked down to the 1st floor, but the configuration of our house is such that we would end up boxing out valuable space in several rooms (many houses can snake through closets but we couldn't), so we decided to go with 2 separate systems so that we could most effectively cool our second floor. Some other colonials in the neighborhood have gone with one A/C unit in the basement, but our neighbors have had to supplement with window units on the upstairs and we wanted to avoid that. Lynch has installed everything but we haven't yet fired up the A/C. The heat is terrific. They repaired our old duckwork and made adjustments to the blower speed so it's nice and cozy. I will follow up if there is any additional feedback after we have had the system for a couple of years. I recognize the pricing was not cheap -- but it was actually one of the more reasonable that we received. I think it was a good value for the service we received.

They are very professional. They have excellent quality work. They have good advice which is very helpful. They are expensive, but they have a lot of common sense. I would continue to use them in the future.

I went with another company because their price was little high. The estimate was about $7000 for replacing my heating system. They were fine in everything; apart from their price. I won't use them in the future.

Bill called back immediately after my first call to the company. I was informed that they don't typically do work in my area, but then Bill suggested one of his competitors who has the same level training with the product. Bill then answered some additional questions I had even though I was no longer a potential customer. I was impressed with his knowledge, but more importantly, how professional and helpful he was. If they conduct their hands on work with the same attitude then I imagine it is excellent. I will certainly call them again if I ever need work closer to their area.

They were incredibly thorough and thoughtful in giving their installation advice (steering me to the most logical system, not the most expensive). They completed their work in a timely and professional manner, and their installers were courteous, friendly and very aware of keeping the house clean. A terrific experience.

On the hottest day this summer, our centra air stopped working. It was a Sunday and we called the Lynch Company in the morning. I got a return phone call within 90 minutes and a service technician came to our house the following business day. The service technician was very professional -- did his work quickly and accurately and importantly got our system working again.

WE HAD A BIG HOLD UP BECAUSE THEY WANTED A CERTAIN INSPECTOR TO INSPECT THE VENTING. 6 MONTHS LATER THE VENTING IS NOT CORRECT AND THERE IS CARBON MONOXIDE. HE WOULD SEND POST CARDS OUT SAYING THAT HE HAD DONE AIR CONDITIONING IN OUR HOUSE WHICH HE DID NOT DO. THE CARD WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO OUR NEIGHBOR, BUT WE RECEIVED IT BY MISTAKE. HE WAS USING US AS A REFERENCE FOR A JOB THAT HE DIDN'T DO FOR US. THIS IS REALLY BAD. HE DISAPPEARED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE JOB FOR A BIT. RED FLAGS SHOULD HAVE WENT UP WHEN THEY WOULD ONLY LET A CERTAIN INSPECTOR DO THE CHECK UP.

ESTIMATOR/OWNER CALLED 10 MINUTES AFTER SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TO SAY HE WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL 15-20 MINUTES LATE -- THEN SHOWED UP 45 MINUTES LATER. INSULTED MY HOUSE, MY INTELLIGENCE AND GENERALLY TREATED ME LIKE AN IDIOT (FEMALE HOMEOWNER.) TRIED TO SELL ME CENTRAL A/C, RATHER THAN THE ESTIMATE I HAD REQUESTED -- NEVER SENT THE ESTIMATE, SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HIS PRICE WOULD HAVE BEEN.

GAVE US GREAT VALUE ON A LARGE PROJECT. MADE SURE WE KNEW ALL OUR OPTIONS. FINISHED OUR AC PROJECT IN DAYS, WHICH IS AMAZING. THEY SEEMED TO WORK HARD TO MAKE SURE WE HAD A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. GREAT & FRIENDLY WORKMEN.
