Worked with Reese about this job. He was responsive and easy to work with. The price was less than half what their competition wanted for the same job! They called before they came and were very strategic about how to move the unit since they needed to bring it outside and down a bulkhead. My only concern was that they didn't seem prepared with necessary equipment. I provided necessary covering to protect the unit since it was raining.

The 3 men were excellent. They worked quickly, efficiently, & with very good spirits. They packed & sealed numerous boxes of books & ceramics, among other things. Reese, the crew chief, was very professional, courteous, & easy to work with.

Our overall experience was very positive. They did not come out to estimate the size of the job, but "walked through it" with me over the phone. As a result (& no doubt due, in part, to my overly-optimistic answers to their questions), they underestimated the work required. However, they rose to the occasion & sorted it out to our satisfaction. The move was further complicated by the fact that almost half of what was moved was being moved into storage in a large room in our new house, & the rest was being moved into living space, but they worked through it without a hitch. They disassembled a few pieces of large, expensive furniture, wrapped them up safely for the move, & reassembled them in their new place with no problems. They did a good job, & were exceptionally helpful & accommodating. They made moving day as easy & pleasant as it could be.

Professional, quick, and efficient. Excellent value for movers ... $135 per hour for a Thursday morning move for 3 men! Gentle Giant was going to be over $200 per hour for the same move!! Will definitely use Smooth Moves for my next move!!

I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEM, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID EVERYTHING WITHIN 2 1/2 HOURS. THEY MOVED US FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER. THEY MOVED ME THREE BLOCKS. THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB.

Overall they were very careful with the wrapping and moving of some very heavy and difficult to move items. I think the price was reasonable. I would use them again.

The packing was a bit shoddy. After they were done with the job, we went back the next day, and loaded the car completely (a station wagon) with the stuff they left (a single shoe, our silverware, trash cans etc). The furniture was moved without incident. They were helpful about placing, and putting together furniture. They lost a piece of the refrigerator required to hang the door, and did not contact us regarding its replacement. I finally ordered the piece, and am waiting for reimbursement. (I expect they will reimburse us, there is no reason to think they won't).

They were professional, on-time, pleasant and took extra care with little things. They were careful about tracking in dirt and put things back when they needed to move things out of the way, telling me that I didn't have to do it. I was 100% satisfied and will be using them again very soon.

I phoned Smooth Mooves two weeks prior to move. My phone call was answered immediately and scheduled right away. All of my questions were addressed. I received a confirmation email the next day. A few days prior to the move, I had to add a couple of items and that was accepted without problem. Three workers promptly showed up at the move location. They reviewed the job with me and started right away. They covered furniture when necessary, dismantled the dining table and pinball machine with ease, and took great care in executing all of this which was great. Despite having no elevator and 4 flights of stairs, the crew kept smiling. They were a lot of fun to work with. The move took approx. 8 hours to complete, including the travel time. The project as a whole went way better than my expectations, as I have moved several times and familiar with poor service, damage to items, and bad attitudes. Smooth Mooves is everything you want in a mover.

OVERALL, EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. THE MOVERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT WHEN I BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT, I SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT PAYMENT OPTIONS AND IF I NEEDED CASH. I WAS TOLD THEY TOOK CHECKS AND CREDIT CARDS, SO NO PROBLEM. WHEN THE MOVERS ARRIVED, THEY TOLD ME I MUST HAVE CASH ON HAND, SO I HAD TO GO TO AN ATM.

REESE AND 2 OTHER FELLOWS DID A SUPERB JOB. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME, WORKED EFFECTIVELY TOGETHER, WERE POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY CHARGE $100 PER HOUR, PLUS TRAVEL TIME, AND I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

GREAT COMPANY. CLEAN, SMALL, CHEAP, PROFESSIONAL. CLASS ACTS. PRICE DEPENDS ON WHAT TIME OF YEAR. DID POKE HOLE IN WALL, BUT OWNED UP TO IT AND VOLUNTEERED TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. VERY FAST, BUT TOOK GOOD CARE OF OUR THINGS.

VERY NICE CREW. GREAT PRICE, BUT A FEW NICKS AND DINGS TO SOME FURNITURE. ONE APPLIANCE WAS DAMAGED, BUT THEY QUICKLY REIMBURSED US FOR OUR REPAIR BILL.

VERY PROMPT, FAST, AND EFFICIENT; ALSO COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY. THERE WAS NO MAJOR DAMAGE, BUT A FEW ITEMS WERE SCRATCHED. WE DIDN'T GET ANY SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE SO THE BASIC INSURANCE THAT WAS INCLUDED WOULDN'T HAVE PAID FOR ANYTHING. THEY ESTIMATED 6 HOURS AND ONLY TOOK 5 1/2.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE STRESSED OUT WHEN MOVING, IF YOU MOVE WITH SMOOTH MOVES. THEY KEPT UP WITH EVERYTHING THAT MOTHER NATURE AND MY LANDLORD PUT IN OUR WAY. IT STARTED RAINING AS WE WERE EMPTYING OUT MY APARTMENT. MY LANDLORD ALSO CHOSE THAT MORNING TO HIRE A BACKHOE TO TEAR UP THE LAWN AND DRIVEWAY. I ONLY HAD ACCESS TO MY REAR DOOR THANKS TO THE DUMP TRUCK PARKED AT MY FRONT DOOR. SO THE MOVE WAS A BIT HARDER AS LARGE ITEMS IN THE LIVING ROOM HAD TO BE MOVED OUT THROUGH THE KITCHEN DOOR, AND DOWN A SET OF STEPS SET AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE TO THE HOUSE. THANKS TO THE BACKHOE, THE STEPS ENDED IN A FOOT LONG DROP TO SOFT GROUND. I WAS READY TO CRY, BUT THEY KEPT MY SPIRITS UP THROUGH OUT THE ENTIRE DAY, AND MANAGED TO KEEP THEIR SENSE OF HUMOR FAR LONGER THAN I DID, WE TEASED, GIGGLED, TOLD BAD JOKES, AND OTHER WISE LAUGHED OUR WAY THROUGH WHAT IS NORMALLY A VERY STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE.

AS I SAID, THE COMPANY WAS VERY PROMPT. THE EMPLOYEES WERE ALL REFINED, POLITE, AND COURTEOUS PEOPLE. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO MY FURNITURE OR PROPERTY. WE WERE VERY PLEASED, THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT COMPANY.

TO BEGIN WITH, TERRI (SP?), WHO I FIRST SPOKE TO FOR AN ESTIMATE, WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL - SHE IS A GREAT ''FACE'' FOR THE OPERATION AND INSPIRES CONFIDENCE IN CUSTOMERS (BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCE). COORDINATING THE DATE AND ESTIMATING THE REQUIRED TIME/CREW WERE STRAIGHTFORWARD AND EASY, AND ULTIMATELY RIGHT ON THE MONEY. THE GUYS SHOWED UP RIGHT ON TIME AND GOT TO WORK AMAZINGLY FAST, CLEARLY THEY WANT TO FINISH THE JOB AS QUICKLY AS WE WANT IT TO BE DONE! THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL IN HANDLING OUR STUFF AND NOTHING WAS BROKEN. THEY STARTED AT 8:30 AND WERE DONE AT 12:15, SO WE HAD THE WHOLE AFTERNOON TO UNPACK (AND NAP)! I CAN'T IMAGINE THAT THEIR COMPETITORS COULD DO MUCH BETTER A JOB, AND THEIR PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE! SO, WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ''SMOOTH MOOVES'' TO ANYONE.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. PROFESSIONAL, FAST, CAREFUL. HAD A COUPLE COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS BUT THEY WERE MINOR.

GREAT WORK, HARD EFFORT, WONDERFUL ATTITUDE. VERY NICE, CALLED TO ME BY NAME, ETC.

OFFICE STAFF WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND HELPFUL. THE CREW ARRIVED ON TIME, AND WERE VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY SPENT NO MORE THAN HALF AN HOUR ON-SITE, WORKING QUICKLY. OFFERED TO HONOR THE ANGIE'S COUPON BEFORE I EVEN MENTIONED IT. THE RATES SEEM ABOUT RIGHT FOR THE MARKET.

THE MOVERS WERE ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT, AND REASONABLY PRICED. THEY WORKED QUICKLY DESPITE THE 90 DEGREE TEMPS. THIS WAS A RELATIVELY SMALL MOVING JOB AND IT WAS COMPLETED UNDER THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF HOURS (3). OVERALL IT WENT VERY SMOOTHLY.

VERY NICE, POLITE, CLEAN QUICK. WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

THESE GUYS ROCK! FROM TERRY WHO HELPED ME PLAN THE MOVE, TO REESE AND HIS ENTIRE CREW ON BOTH DAYS WHO MOVED ME OUT AND THEN IN AGAIN, THESE GUYS LIVE UP TO THEIR NAME. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND THEY WERE FAST, CAREFUL, POLITE (EVEN GOOD HUMORED), RESPONSIVE, AFFORDABLE, FLEXIBLE, DILIGENT, RESPONSIBLE, PROMPT. JUST THE KIND OF PROFESSIONALS YOU NEED DURING A COMPLICATED MOVE. THEY MOVED US OUT OF A VERY FULL 3-STORY TOWNHOUSE IN JUST TWO HOURS, HELD THINGS OVERNIGHT, THEN MOVED US IN TO A 6-STORY WALKUP, THEN DROVE 20 MILES AND MOVED SOME MORE STUFF IN. ALL IN UNDER THREE HOURS. IN THE SUMMER. THEY KEPT UP THE PACE THE WHOLE WAY, AND WERE MORE CAREFUL WITH MY STUFF THAN I WAS. TERRY EVEN TURNED ME ON TO BENEZRA BOXES, A SERVICE THAT DELIVERS BOXES TO YOUR DOOR. THIS IS A LOCAL BUSINESS AT ITS BEST. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH SMOOTH MOOVES!

OVERALL, OUR EXPERIENCE WITH SMOOTH MOOVES WAS EXCELLENT. THE MOVERS WERE PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY AND FAST. THEY COMPLETED THE ENTIRE MOVE IN 5 HOURS, LEFT BOTH PLACES CLEAN. VERY FEW BOXES WERE MISPLACED; THOSE THAT WERE WE MIS-LABELED. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO ANY OF OUR ITEMS, WHATSOEVER. THOUGH WE CHANGED OUR MINDS WITH A NUMBER OF LARGE, HEAVY OBJECTS (AS IN MOVING THEM FROM FLOOR TO FLOOR), THE CREW WAS HAPPY TO OBLIGE AND PATIENT WITH US. OUR ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT WE HAD TROUBLE GETTING IN TOUCH WITH THEM, AS THE PHONE DOESN'T GET ANSWERED WHEN THE CREWS ARE ON A JOB. HAVING MOVED FOUR TIMES IN FIVE YEARS, WE HAVE SEEN OUR SHARE OF MOVERS. SMOOTH MOOVES WAS THE BEST COMPANY WE HAVE EVER WORKED WITH.
