SMOOTH MOOVES INC

I was pregnant and lived in a very small elevator building. I needed to get a sofa out and could not do it myself. I needed someone in a hurry, and that was strong. They came out and did it very easily and efficient. I will use them again in the future.

Smooth Mooves was so smooth. Their service was wonderful. They moved my business two years ago. I have an insurance agency and we moved it next door with Smooth Mooves. They were very helpful even put all the files in place. Workers were so great I gave them tips!

We were quoted from the original owner and found out later that he is selling, or has sold, the company to a new owner. The new owner is wonderful and does a good job, however, there was some confusion that I believe stemmed from the hand off. They were to have two trucks and only one showed up. They were going to wrap and stage all of our furniture the first day then move us the second, per our request. When they came the first day and saw the volume of furniture they asked to load the truck. So we were doing our final packing as they were loading the truck, so it got a little confusing. The other problem was there was only one truck and this took us longer as we needed two trucks. So we lost valuable moving time driving back and forth from the new house to the old. This being said I still think they did an excellent job and that this wasn't the new owner's fault. I think that the person that quoted me must have not provided the proper information to him and therefore the job took longer. They were always professional, kind, and would move things wherever we needed them without complaining. It was a long two days and they probably undercharged us for the work they did, again I think it was because we hit during the transition. I would use them again.

They did a fantastic job! Victor (owner of Poetry Moving, somehow joined with Smooth Mooves) and his crew were fast, professional, and Victor especially was a real pleasure to talk with. What a rich life he has!

They were very careful and they were very fast. They actually were early coming to move all of my stuff. They did a great job, nothing is broken. The move only took half as much time.

Overall it went very well I was very pleased with them they were very professional and I could get ahold of them and they were very responsive to my emails and they answered all my questions promptly. They handled everything well and didn't damage anything.

I had to change the date once, and that was easy over the phone. I received an email confirmation of the change. Two movers and a truck showed up on time, reviewed the house with me and quickly got started. They worked very fast and were careful. I drove up and they followed me; they moved stuff in as fast as they packed. There were no incidents, and they deposited things were I told them. Overall it was as good as a moving experience as possible. They even checked the truck carefully before leaving, finding two very small shelving parts. Extremely satisfied and highly recommended.

The people were very pleasant and professional. They arrived promptly. They moved quickly and conveniently. They did their best to make the move run as smoothly as possible.

Great. I called and they happened to be free same day. They started around 3pm and left old house by 5:30. Crew of 3 (including owner Reese) really hustled to move furniture from the 2nd and 3rd floors of a 2-family. They unloaded into our small single family very quickly, despite having to navigate a very narrow basement stairwell for many large items. They removed banisters and light fixtures as needed and put everything back together as they found it. No damaged furniture or walls in either house. Very professional. I bought pizza and tipped well - they earned it!

The team arrived on time and performed very soundly. The job took a little longer than it should have, because one of their crew bailed on them. That being said the job still was below our estimate and everyone else picked up the slack. It was a very big job for one day and they performed admirably. Nothing was missing or broken. They were also very careful to not damage either home in the process. I would hire them again in an instant, but hopefully will never have to move again!

Excellent. The staff was polite, friendly, and hard working. I was really impressed by the care they took even while moving at the speeds they were moving at. They were excellent.

The move out took a little longer than expected, as cars were parked where the van was supposed to park, even though there were posted signs. The packing was quick, and little, if anything, was damaged. The problem I had is the building I moved into required the movers to be insured, and required some certain form to prove they had the insurance. I told SM this in advance, and although they assured me they were covered, when the time came to move into the new apartment, they did not have the proper forms, and as it turned out, their policy had lapsed. I was not allowed to move in, all of my belongings had to be locked in SM's truck overnight, and SM had to hire another moving company to unload my stuff the next day. Then, the owner wanted me to pay for the extra time required to move me in on day two (which I had to take off from work because of this debacle).

These guys did a FANTASTIC job - I highly recommend them. They worked around our tight schedule (move out, close on sale, store one night, close on purchase, move in the next day) and did an awesome job, bringing all the resources needed to get it done. They did a highly professional job and I would use them again in a heart-beat. Nothing was broken, they worked tirelessly, brought 3 trucks, friendly, helpful - THE BEST. They came in at the high end of the quote, but we had a big house, lots of china and glassware (which they packed) and it just took a little longer than they predicted. Use them - you won't be sorry. Plus the gang was a lot of fun to chat with - Billy, Atilla, Mark, Julio - great guys. Buy them lunch and tip them well - they earn it busting their humps for you.

They seemed highly recommended on Angie's List, but we weren't happy AT ALL. We were moving out of an old 2-family home with narrow stairwells and relatively low ceilings, and though we had moved all our things IN, and knew from experience the easiest route to take for moving the same things OUT, the guys refused to listen, and ultimately knocked holes in 2 walls, broke a window frame, and failed to put our front door back together properly after taking it off the hinges. One piece of our sectional couch, they INSISTED would not fit out the doors while safely wrapped, and so they would have left it behind unless we let them move it uncovered. Well, my honey and I (5'4") managed to get it out all by ourselves, nice and wrapped, while 3 movers couldn't seem to figure it out, despite MORE suggestions from us. These guys DON'T LISTEN! I almost threw a fit, but in the end, just wanted to whole experience over with, and their hands off my stuff.

They were very professional and efficient. They were very patient with us. We had them moving rugs back and forth. They didn't rush us. They made sure we were happy with how everything was positioned. It was raining that day so they put paper down on the hardwoods to make sure they didn't track anything into the house. They also did a final walk through to make sure we were happy.

It was true to the company's name: a smooth move! They arrived to pick up the piece when they said they would, kept in touch with me via cell phone to confirm their arrival, and delivered at exactly the time they had promised. Reese, the owner, was very polite on the phone.

They were extraordinarily accommodating and careful. It was an extremely positive experience and I highly recommend them.

They are pretty cheap. They did a good job and they did not break anything. They are hard working and professional as well. I would recommend them to other people any time. They made sure to finish the work in a good amount of time as well.

Reese quoted me approximately 6 hours of work for the move. It was from a 2nd/3rd floor condo to a single family. 3 guys and a very large truck showed up on time. I think it took them a little longer to load the truck than they thought. They worked very hard and wrapped everything up nicely. They unloaded very quickly and were great about putting stuff in the correct place. No drops, no scratches. Great all around. They ended up taking 7 hours, but I was not surprised by that. Boy, we have a lot of stuff. Moving in the middle of the week saved money too.

We had a miscommunication problem with the moving details. They responded very quickly and professionally to solve the problem. Once the problem was solved everything went very smooth. The moving crew was very courteous and very professional.

The owner injured himself the night before the move and I felt that they should have canceled or rescheduled. I was fine complying with that since I was in no hurry to move. That would have saved us some trouble. At least, he fixed the problems in a timely fashion. I felt that they underestimated the job. They were responsive and professional with the apology for all the hassle.

Smooth Mooves Inc. was overbooked. They had given us a window of between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. They called at 2:00 PM and said they wouldn't be able to get here until 6:00 PM. I told them we had to be out before 5:00 PM because of condo rules so they managed to get here by 4:00 PM. I was very appreciative that they were able to accommodate me. They were very responsive and professional. They did scratch some furniture and dropped a couple of boxes.

I found this company through Angie's List. They are great! I always recommend them. I couldn't have asked for a smoother move. I even wound up using them again. They were what I would call excellent. To be honest, I loved them.

The movers did a nice job. They were very nice and polite. The problem was that they showed up pretty late, and I was also charged almost twice what the estimate was. Now, I realize that moving things out of a 5th floor apartment is not the easiest thing to do, but I feel that the owner over-estimated their abilities when he calculated the bill. They weren't loafing at all; it just took a lot longer than expected.

I called ahead in advance to reserve the movers since we were moving on September 1. We were able to reserve at our preference of time (morning). The movers showed up early on the day of the move. We did a quick walk through and they got right to work. They asked questions whenever they had them and made sure the setup of the furniture was where we wanted it. No items were damaged, scratched, or broken during the move. The movers were friendly and efficient. They finished in just about the estimated time frame.
