An outstanding experience. Got a response on my request for bid in 15 minutes from my e-mail to their office on a Sunday. After receiving two other bids and quick-check on references, accepted their bid because it matched another low bid and they appeared more flexible and service oriented. Offered great suggestions for storage that saved us money and kept our downstairs space useable. They kept in close phone contact, confirming the move the day before. Crew showed up on time, were polite and personable, very efficient, careful. No damaged items. When our floors were installed ahead of schedule, Smooth Mooves was flexible and changed their time to return all furnishings to meet our needs, and again came right on schedule. All furnishings replaced perfectly, even to setting up cable TV, computer with internet connections; even made a quick run to a hardware store to pick up clamps when bed frame was missing a clip; and still finished the job ahead of schedule.

The price from Smooth Mooves was less then half of the other quote "all in." The movers were very punctual (early) on both ends of the move, and did a great job with my stuff. In particular, the guy who was upstairs wrapping all my stuff was terrific!! He wrapped the more fragile stuff with care and definitely knew his business. These guys are pros, not some kids with a weekend or part-time job. The price above reflects both the billed cost of $2,010 for the move plus $50 for excess insurance plus $300 tip.

I had a different team with each move. They all did a really good job. Were efficient and professional. The owner was very nice and helpful prior to the moves and answered any questions I had.

Overall very excellent. On time, courteous, no problems, charge was estimated correctly, git Angie's List discount.

There were things that needed to be moved to storage something's to the new house, they took things out of storage and took them back to the house. There were things that needed to go elsewhere as well(including a piano), everything was coordinated very well there was nothing broke. It went very well and I would recommend to anyone.

GREAT! All of the people at Smooth Mooves were Excellent! They were very careful with my belongings (3 trucks worth!) and moved very quickly so that my costs were kept down. I have moved 16 times in my life, so I consider myself familiar with everything that can go wrong. Smooth Mooves made the move as easy as it could possibly be. They even went the extra steps to move some of the items we packed ourselves. The guys never complain and definitely keep up the pace. I had asked them to consider moving a sleep sofa to the third floor of the new house. They tried everything to get it up the stairs (even took it apart at one point) but it would not go. They then took out a window and hiked it up through there. They definitely went above and beyond to make me happy. Although I hate moving - I wish I could work with Smooth Mooves again. They made the moving experience great! They were very professional and helped out a lot. This is a great company.

They were great. On time, professional, and helpful. We paid a little extra for wrapping the mattresses in plastic for transport, but it was OK. This company was cheaper than some (Gentle Giant), but more expensive than some of the bargain basement movers. However, it was worth it. We needed a smooth, quality experience and we got it. We'd definitely use them again.

I called this company based on raving reviews here. I was a little disappointed when I couldn't reach them right away, because their message box was full, but Reese, the owner, called me back just two minutes later! They showed up on time. Terry, the leader of the 2-men team, was unbelievable. He moved the heaviest items really fast, wouldn't stop for breaks, and it took him less time to pack the enormous amount of stuff we collected over the years, than it took him to drive it to Worcester and Nashua. He's in this field for 25 years, and it certainly shows. They were very helpful, took great care of all items, including the most fragile ones, did the packing that we couldn't do, and in general were very professional. They disassembled and reassembled things that needed that. Did I mention they were fast? I've seen other movers do their work, and these guys are head and shoulders above them. We would definitely use this company again and recommend it to others without hesitation.

I will not say what we were charged in full by this company but I will tell you quite frankly that it was 20% lower than what other companies were asking. We had no damaged items and felt very satisfied with this company in all aspects.

The owner came to survey the items to be moved. The assessment was that the move was too large for the company to handle as it involved moving a baby-grand piano and furniture down several flights of stairs.

I received personalized service. They were very careful in moving my belongings and the movers were very nice.

Very easy to work with and I would use them again.

An appointment was made for someone to come to our home on Saturday, April 14, 2007 for an estimate. No one showed up or called to cancel/reschedule. I called the company and spoke to Reese on Sunday the 15th. He apologized and explained that there was a family emergency and said he would like to reschedule for sometime later that week. A couple of emails were exchanged and then I never heard from him again. If I can't rely on the company to follow through on an appointment for an estimate, I sure wouldn't trust that they would be dependable on such an important day as moving day!

Excellent! Reece and his crew are very professional and a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time for both jobs and worked carefully and quickly. To keep the cost down they were able to combine my small jobs with other out of state moves. After doing quite a bit of research I found their prices to be very reasonable. I highly recommend Smooth Moves and I will definitely use them again in the future.

I was able to confirm a move date that was convenient for me. The movers did have a little trouble finding the address, their gps device couldn't find my house, but I gave them directions and they were still on time. They were very polite, courteous, and professional. They quickly packed up my belongings. I arrived at the condo before they did and all I had to do was advise them where to place items. They also set up my bed and frame for me.

As I told them "It's tough 2 find good movers & they were fantastic!" Go figure I won't be moving 4 a while now that I found great movers. I will highly recommend you guys. I do realize that it is not only a great company that makes a great move it is a great crew that is the key element probably in making the great move. These guys were top notch. They took great care of my crazy & my heavy elliptical machine. I felt horrible but they were fantastic and carried the crazy heavy beast around the side of my complex to get through my patio doors in my basement. They repeated this feat with my sofa which was also going in my basement. This was on top of wrapping my sofa and loveseat and the pillows up which was a relief since it had started to rain. This was also on top of them constantly communicating & reminding each other to wipe their feet, trying to make sure no mud got into my new place while they were carrying & taking care of my stuff. As I said "top notch" and "fantastic"!!

Reese and his crew were outstanding! They were extremely careful with all of our belongings, and everything arrived intact. It took a little longer than they had anticipated to load up the truck, so Reese was kind enough to call for reinforcements to help unload at the house so they could get it done more quickly. We couldn't be more pleased with how well everything went that day! I have already recommended Smooth Moves to friends who are planning moves in the near future.

Everything was excellent. Reese and his helper were polite, careful, and fast. There were no unpleasant surprises, and the work was done in a flash.

The move went VERY well. They arrived 15 minutes early at 8:45am and by 11:15 the house was empty. They commented on how well everything was packed and prepared for them, so it went very quickly ad efficiently. The only issue that happened was the breaking of one door stop and another door stop that punched a hole into a hollow door. Reese showed concern and assured that he would take care of it if the new owners took any issue with it. I patched the hole my self and replaced the $3 hinge, no biggie. They took lunch and went to the new home which is smaller. Un-loading took a little more time since room was tighter. Also, there was more snow on the ground so they took extra time to shovel some snow in the narrow driveway to get the truck in. Also, removed some snow to allow the ramp to go from the truck to the front walkway. Unloading then went smoothly and they even got the BBQ grill to the deck despite the icy steps to the deck. Estimate was 8-9 hours, Actual was 6.5 hours!

I discovered that one should not plan on selling one's house on a Monday morning and then immediately buying a new one. Doing so forces one to move out of one's house on a Sunday afternoon, which limits one's choice of movers and means you have to pay to store your stuff overnight! Won't do that again. Otherwise, all was well. The Smooth Moves boys (and they are young!) did a great job on a very hot day. They had a bit of trouble putting the fridge back together, but they were careful and very personable, and work extremely hard. Reese came out to my house a week earlier to give me an estimate and he was spot on. He is extremely professional.

They were the easiest to deal with during the quote phase, had the best quote, and delivered under the original estimate. The moving crew were great guys and really knew their stuff!

Reese and his crew did a great job. They arrived right on time and finished in under 6 hours and well under their estimate of about $1,600. They also have a great "price guaranteed not to exceed" part of their estimate.) Reese told us that it could end up being a two-trip job, and it was, but they still finished early. All the guys were helpful and professional and worked hard. Both houses are two-stories with basements. Their connection with Benezra Boxes was also helpful because we ended up needing 2 deliveries of boxes and shipping materials and their prices were very reasonable (especially for lightly-used boxes). Until this latest move, we had always gone with their big-name local competitor who are great, but pretty pricey. We decided to go with Smooth Mooves and we're very glad we did.

First I attempted to contact them via the email address on their website, which they never answered. Once I reached Reese on the phone he was quite nice and we scheduled our move. On moving day they were late, and the movers arrived reeking of cigarette smoke (to which we are quite allergic). Everything seemed to go fine during the packing process, but at our destination we found a broken TV set, a broken shelf, and the headboard to our bed was damaged (the door popped right off the hinges). Many of our boxes show punctures where pieces of furniture ripped right into them. Also, they were not able to properly re-assemble the pieces (desk, futon frame) that they took apart. Then to add insult to injury, after they were paid, Resse called and said that the crew chief made a mistake and he wants me to pay another $200+. They were cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for.

The movers worked at a fast and efficient pace but in the end over charged for their services.

Excellent experience. Came on time as promised and worked very hard to finish ahead of time. It was clear from the outset that Reese and his crew had all the experience to pack their moving truck highly effectively for two round trips (Moved only there miles). Very friendly, competent group who was flexible enough to accommodate several odds and ends. We especially admired their skill to set all the boxes and items down in their designated place at the end station. We highly recommend them as superb movers.
