PRECISION TILING

Joe was nice enough to travel out to me to give me a free estimate. Other businesses wanted $75 just for time to estimate. I appreciated his effort. Work was scheduled after price was reviewed, and it was mentioned should problems arise, of course estimate would have to be revised and accepted to move forward. Joe and his coworker showed up on time every morning, and finished the job well. Would recommend. Four months later, no water leaking. Attached picture shows the area worked on.

Joe was great! Responded to my inquiry right away, less than 12 hours, showed up on time at my house the next day (a weekend) and gave us a very detailed quote within a week (down to the cost of the trash bags).

Joe showed up on a Saturday daytime when the restaurant was not yet open for business. He did his work efficiently and in a timely fashion. Everything looked great. He came back much later that night to repair tiles in the kitchen when there was no longer kitchen staff.

Joe and his team were great. The work was done in the estimated time and the final result is gorgeous.They were responsive and their estimate was on target with the final price. I would highly recommend their services.

Precision Tiling was fully professional in their dealings with me and a pleasure to work with. Their quote was not the lowest but their approach to repairing the hole and replacing the missing tiles seemed solid when we discussed it and their price was reasonable. Happily, they were able to do the repair just a few days after I called to tell them I wanted them to do the work. They took their work seriously and approached it in a craftsman-like manner. They put down drop cloths to protect my rug and floors as they came in and out and were very careful not to damage my refinished tub. The finished work looks great. The new tiles are perfectly flush with the old--something another contractor told me was impossible--and my new shower wall looks not like repair but a deliberate design choice from the time the house was built sixty years ago. Kudos all around to Precision Tiling.

Joe quickly called me back to book an estimate. He was able to come the same week and was very flexible re day and time. He showed up right on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He got back to me with a quote within a couple of days. Although we went with another company, I would have been very happy to work with him. We still have some other jobs to do in the future and I plan to call him again for estimates.

We scheduled the appointment for 1pm on Sunday. Joe showed up at 1pm on Sunday exactly as we discussed driving from Stowe all the way to Scituate before a Pats Playoff game. We had other companies that were supposed to come in earlier call that morning to change the time to later, some that were to come in later wanted to come in earlier, Joe was right on time without a glitch. We reviewed the job together and Joe understood exactly what we wanted immediately. We left him to take all of his measurements, then discussed with him the options he could offer. He took care to describe the type of grout he uses and the color offerings as well as some of the tile details. While we chose another company to actually complete the work (this company seems to have given a bargain price to do all of the bathroom work, including the tile, we'll see if we regret this choice), the experience with Precision/Joel was top notch and I would have fully trusted him to do a beautiful job. We will be inviting Precision Tiling back to walk through all of the other applicable projects in our old fixer upper.

We got three quotes for the tiling project. Joe's was the lowest and he proved to be very punctual with the quote. He was able to meet the next day for a quote and arrived exactly on time, on a Friday night no less. He called over the weekend to outline the quote and his plan. We decided on Joe due to his quick turn around, competitive quote, and positive reviews on Angie's List. Joe quickly scheduled us in advance, which was great for planning purposes. He also was able to be flexible around the original times, due to masonry work we needed completed. Joe and his team have an amazing work ethic. Rather than working eight hours and calling it quits each day, they worked far beyond eight hours a day to move the project along as close to the timeline as possible. Despite these efforts, Joe did need to add half a day of labor because he needed more time to level the floor in the basement. This was not a surprise. The house is 140 years old is nothing is level or at right angles. He was quick to communicate these changes to us. The tiling went smoothly and two of his workers were able to finish the grouting over the weekend. As another reviewer mentioned, Joe does a great job purchasing materials regularly throughout the project as they are needed. He and his crew did a great job cleaning-up and the floor is beautiful! Very highly recommended.

He called the week after Thanksgiving to say he could come in on Friday, later that week. Unfortunately, it didn't work for my schedule, so we tentatively rescheduled for the following Monday, but he needed to confirm with me on Sunday. I had to call him back and he was extremely apologetic, but was unable to make it and tried to reschedule again for the following weekend. I needed to double-check our weekend plans, and when I didn't hear back, I finally gave up. Not sure why the ball got dropped...maybe job was too small...

Good response, heard back from initial request within 3 days, appt for estimate on job scheduled for 5 days later, on a Sun even, very accommodating! Received written estimate 9 days later, and work scheduled for Nov 12 (just under 3 weeks later) to accommodate both party's schedules (I was to be away for a week). Forgot to ask start time, but they checked in with me on the scheduled date in the morning. Professional and excellent job done! They had a drop cloth to protect tub floor, and had a shop vac, sponges, bucket etc to clean the removed grout/caulk before re-grouting / re-caulking. The assistant in training even noticed the toilet floor bolts in the down half bath were loose and he tightened -- fixed what I thought was a minor but annoying issue due to the basement floor not being leveled properly before tiling. Great, no more rocking toilet! Lucky we didn't have a leak/damage! Also seldom seen, I received a price reduction on the labor when we wrapped up the job at payment. The original quote was to install new tub surround ceiling tiles at a 45 degree angle, since I couldn't find spares and the tiles and exact size were no longer made, so the job estimate was for 1 and a half days work. However I did manage to find the spares later so we didn't need to install at a 45 degree angle (to hide the slight difference in tile size), which would have been more labor-intensive, and the job only took apporx 6 hrs so the labor cost was reduced to approx 2/3 of original estimate. Never got min 3 estimates before hiring like I usually do so don't how how competitive total cost was, but very pleased with quality of work so felt with it. Extremely fair and honest company! Highly recommend!

I called and spoke to someone. My job was a small one. I needed someone to regrout some tile. No one ever called back. When I received this request for a review I tried to call back to find out why they never called me back. There is no listing in the Information Phone Directory. Perhaps this company doesn't exist any more.

Joe and his crews did great job for our bathroom tiling. I could reach Joe anytime by phone and he was always very reasonable and flexible. The price quote was competitive and the work was excellent. I would recommend to my friend and relatives!

First, I want to say that the tile looks amazing. It looks beautiful and hard to believe that it's my kitchen. I bought the tile myself from Fitzgerald tile in Woburn. The grout line is very small and looks beautiful. When we installed the cabinets we looked around for a "high" spot and the floor was extremely level. I was able to contact Joe from precision tiling and we made arrangement for a quote. He stopped by and promptly gave us a quote (he was a little late to the appointment due to the fact that he was on another job before he came to give us the quote - but that really wasn't a big deal to me). We had three bids and his was actually the least for labor and he was the only one who offered to purchase our materials - every other person told us we would "save" by buying materials (thinset, grout, etc) ourselves. He was able to schedule us after he emailed me a quote. Once they started, he brought a grout color wheel and just had me pick out the grout and he picked it up the next day. He is extremely professional. The job took around 2.5 days. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to friends.

Working with Joe and his team from start to finish was a pleasure. Joe works with a small team that includes a guy named Jimmy. There basically isn't anything that Jimmy can't do. The communication with Joe was perfect. Every time I called he answered the phone (the trade off is that when he is working on your job he will answer the phone). One reason I chose Joe was because he was so easy to get in touch with. I chose Joe for the job because I thought he was the best tile guy around - he also ended up being the cheapest. Sometimes you get lucky. His team showed up at 9:00 every day and worked past 9:00 one night. These guys will do whatever it takes to get the job done. I spent every day at home during the six day project so got to know the team very well. I will let the pictures speak for themselves - but I think the finished product is a masterpiece!

I've made several phone calls and emails to have this company install my tile. He's given me a lot of exuses, missed appoints, and broken promises. He said he could only provide the service at night since he was so busy. I sent him a detailed email of what the service I wanted was and have the materials on site. He never responded to my emails or calls like he said he would. It may be that he is over whelmed with work, but if this is the case, he should say such instead of taking on more jobs than he can handle. It's now 9/19/12 and I started this 9/14/12. I feel he has had plenty of time to respond and hasn't.

Joe and his team did a great job, on time, and on budget. You could tell he paid attention to the details. All of the tile was spaced evenly on the sides. I would recommend him to everybody.

We contacted Joe at Precision Tiling to assess the condition of our shower tile. Water had gotten behind the tile, ruining the wall and causing the tile to loosen. Joe provided several options, but he felt the best solution was to demo the walls/existing tile and put up cement board and new tile. It was the right move. The shower looks great and I'm confident it will last for many years to come. If you're interested our detailed experience, read on. There are a few things I'd like highlight about Joe as a person and how he runs his business. First, his confidence and easy-going attitude makes him enjoyable to work with. His estimate was spot on. He flagged potential risks before the work began, so if he tore off a wall and found problems, I was prepared to discuss options. He and his crew arrived on time and were a likable bunch. I didn't get the sense that Joe would surround himself with under-preforming employees. The work was being done at our rental unit, which is in a building with many other condos. This means there are concerns about noise, neighbors, public spaces, and more. Joe and his crew were respectful of our tenant's space and even made sure their cat was okay during demo and construction. When I arrived to inspect the work, I found the work area and common stairwell clean. Joe went above and beyond my expectations with the tile work itself. I bought enough tile to cover shower area, but in our case, the tile also wrapped outside of the shower area. I didn't consider the edges or how the subway tile I bought for the job would work. Joe bought matching tile in a different size where the subway tile wouldn't fit and used quarter-round edges to finish the work. It was a smart solution and one that Joe completed with effortless style. I wish more businesses were run like Perfection Tiling. I'm not easy on any contractor, but in Joe's case, I wouldn't change a thing. Without reservation, he's your tile guy.

Job went perfectly. All calls were answered in less than 24 hours, usually within a few hours, if not picked up immediately. Very clean workers. VERY reasonable pricing. Vey pleasant experience.

I used Joe's services a couple years ago and realized I never wrote a review. The tile work came out beautiful. I always get compliments on it. Joe was a very nice guy and easy to work with. He completed the job on time and budget even while dealing with a few challenges that came up including unexpected flooring under the existing tile and my building property manager shutting off power to the building unexpectedly in the middle of the job. He was very resourceful during those challenges. He also had to schedule the tile floor and backsplash at two separate dates/times to allow for the other kitchen renovation work. Joe was very flexible and accomadating for this. I would certainly use him again.

In one word...great. Joe was the consummate professional. He, and his team, were dilgent, patient, and amenable to our ideas. His input into the design was invaluable and the final product was amazing. What we particularly liked was how meticulous he was in doing the job correctly and how our satisfaction was important to him. His guys were here on time everyday, and stayed late until the job for the day was done. They cleaned up meticulously, bagging up all of the debris. They didn't cut any corners, and took pride in their work. When the bathrooms are completely finished, I will post pics. I would recommend Precision Tile without hesitation and will unquestionably use them again in the future.

I called Joe after seeing his A rating and location here on Angie's List. He called back fairly quickly and we spoke several times about price and possible start dates. The cost was apparently the standard minimum charge for a simple, regular size backsplash ( I had another phoned in estimate to compare). He had other work going, but after a minor hitch in communication, was able to commit to my small job. Joe did an excellent job, and clearly takes pride in his good work and professionalism.

The plan was for them to pick up our tiles at the store in the morning before they started here, but they had not checked the store opening times before and had arrived later than scheduled. They called about the delay. An hour into the job they discovered that our cabinets/ work surface were not equally even at every section, so they had had to restart and reconfigure the tiles. Once they got going , they worked diligently and carefully - even through lunch. Due to the miscalculations in the beginning it took them a day longer than anticipated ( estimated was 1 and an half day), but the end result was beautiful and the work of high quality. At the end the grout was lighter than planned, but luckily it works with the design. Final verdict: excellent workmanship, could be somewhat more professional in preplanning and cleaning up.Would definitely hire him again.
