Great. Joe was responsive, came out to look at the job, quoted a fair price, worked the job in to accodate my schedule, and did a great job with the installlation.

I emailed Joe about a month ago and within hours he called me to set up an estimate that day (a snowy Sunday). He was extremely responsive throughout the project and communicated constantly with the status. Joe had an innovative solution to a small issue with the different sized pre-existing backer board. As for the tile, he was precise and carefully planned the placement of each tile. Overall, he did a wonderful job and came in on budget. I would certainly recommend this company (Joe).

Joe did a fantastic job. When he was finished you couldn't even tell there was ever a problem. Tile and grout matched perfectly to orignal installation.

Joe was very prompt in getting back to my request and came to investigate the job the next day. He quoted $350 for the whole job and it was $350 after the job was finished even though it took longer than estimated - VERY HAPPY. The quality of craftsmanship was excellent and Joe took the time to work with the complex stainless steel tile to ensure everything was perfect.

Went great - Joe was so easy to work with. Gentle/relaxed personality. Attention to detail noticed and a really great communicator. Very easy to reach while he was working in my house (and I was not yet moved in). Spent several days straight working on my bathroom. Coordinated with window guys/plumber without a problem. I would definitely recommend Joe for your tile job. As a last minute favor, he also installed my curved shower rod into new tile.

I met with Mr. Frederick to get an estimate on a retiling job for our bathroom update. I was very impressed with both his portfolio (on his website) and the positive feedback he has received on AngiesList. He arrived when he said he would, and was friendly, courteous and professional. I appreciated the time he took to evaluate the requirements of the job. Due to miscommunication (entirely my fault), I ended up going with someone else. But I can honestly say that I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Frederick in the future.

Joe did an excellent job. When he found a problem with the underflooring, he was clear in articulating the problem and then proposed the best alternative. He took the time to do the job well.

Joe gave a fair estimate, started the job on time; worked full days consecutively and finished on time. He was easy to work with, asked questions (like soap dish location, tile designs), gave recommendations and his workmanship/attention to detail was excellent. I would use him again.

He was able to start & complete the job the next day. The quality was superb and it was a pleasure dealing with him. I would definitely recommend him for your tiling needs. Even though the original grout turned out to be harder to remove than first thought, Joe completed the job at the same rate.

We were very pleased with the work. Joe was responsive from the beginning and came and gave us a reasonable estimate for the type of work we were looking for. He was flexible about scheduling and was able to do the work when I needed it done. He completed the work in the amount of time he said he would complete it. We were very happy with the finished product. It looks very nice and is a huge improvement from what we had before. He had a minor issue with removing the toilet because we have a very unusual toilet, but Joe resolved it without us having to miss work and without setting the project back. That may have cost a little bit extra and explained why we paid a bit over his estimate, but we did not find that a problem. Also, Joe was cordial and easy to work with and neat. I have an 8 month old baby so was worried about having work done in the house, but it was fine. Joe even volunteered to come back a week later and reinstall our vanity after we have some more work done to complete our bathroom project.

Due to the pending installation of a new gas fireplace insert, timing was critical. Joe came to our house and gave us an estimate the same day we first spoke by phone. He then arranged to replace/install the new tiles on a Sunday - which was a huge help. I highly recommend Joe for the following reasons: attention to detail, sensitive to dust (removal of old tiles), cleaned up the work area, very polite...I just cannot say enough about him.

Joseph Frederick responded to our request for estimate very quickly, was available and did the work quickly and the quality of his work was without flaws. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing tiling work.

Joe showed up to review the job as scheduled and in short order told us what he would have to do to fix the issues with the broken wall in the shower. He gave us an original estimate of 600.00. Joe then returned two days later as scheduled to work on the project. He worked alone but finished everything in one day (half day, actually). He pulled out all the tiles affected by the hole in the wall, replaced the wall, laid the tile back in, including some new pieces, and added a new soap dish. He also caulked the corner seams, along the window sides and ledge, and all around the tub where it meets the walls (and floor)! It looks great and is sturdy where the wall was weak and moving before.

Joe came within a day or two of my call to provide me with an estimate. At that time, he reviewed my design, asked good questions, and carefully examined the area and noticed potential issues and problems. His installation price was about half of what was quoted to me by the store that sold me the tile. Joe had to push back the start day by one day, but he called me as soon as he knew his current job would go over. He showed up promptly. He was very neat and careful about removing the old hearthstone and the work area in general. He consulted with me when there was any issue or question. His helper was also very nice and careful. The work was very good. We have an older home and nothing is square, and he was able to install the hearthstone tile flush with the wooden floor despite that. I highly recommend his work.

We contacted Joe due to a water leak in our bathroom. We were almost sure that the grout between the tiles and some of the caulking were worn which was causing the leak. We had used him not too long before to put in the tile backsplash in our kitchen. So, we gave him a call. He came right away to take a look and told us what we needed to do to solve the problem (re-grout and caulk as needed). He gave us a quote of $350 and came the next day and stayed for most of the day. He caulked and re-grouted and it looks terrific and charged us less than expected ($320). We really like Joe. He knows his stuff, is hard working and wants to do a good job. He is personable, helpful; and wants to work.

I contacted Joseph Frederick to have him put in a backsplash of tiles in my kitchen. He was responsive and came out to provide me with an estimate the very next day. he was eager to work and it was clear that he has been doing this for a long time. A hard working, nice guy. He did a terrific job on the backsplash as he came and went w/o a sound and always cleaned up after himself. He knows what he is doing!
