J P CARPET CLEANING

I was able to obtain an appointment very quickly through a prompt and courteous return of my phone call. John arrived on time and immediately reassured me with his friendly, professional demeanor. He was very sweet with my big labrador retriever then got right to work. He looked at the components of the job and gave me a head's up that the sectional sofa would be $30 more than the regular sofa, which I appreciated. He also helped me trouble shoot a musty smell in the basement which turned out not to be a carpet issue, as I had thought. John worked efficiently and the furniture and carpet look amazingly restored. He pointed out a couple of stains that did not completely resolve and made sure I was satisfied with eveything. I was! I will call on John again in the future.

The work was excellent. In addition, he was honest about a piece of furniture that wasn't worth cleaning at this time(ie, I could spend the money but wouldn't notice the difference given the condition of the couch). I would recommend him to anyone. He also was very easy going with 2 big dogs that greeted him!

He did an excellent job, was completely professional, worked quickly and I thought his price was very reasonable. I would recommend him highly and will use him again. His wife handles the phone calls and was very responsive and I was able to have an appointment within a coupl of days of calling.

They are good and their prices are reasonable. They give attention to details on cleaning the chairs.

Everything went well. There was a piece of carpeting that he could not clean because it was worn, but he gave suggestions on how to cover it up.

Everything came out like new! He did a beautiful job. He was a really courteous, nice, professional and hardworking guy. The quality of his work was awesome. I would absolutely hire him again.

The carpets were quite dirty. The company arrived fairly promptly, worked efficiently, and finished the job in an hour. The carpets were immaculate after the cleaning. The price was extremely reasonable.

John arrived early and got right to work. He did the job effectively and at a cost that ended up being less than was estimated.

Did a fantastic job! JP Carpet Cleaning was able to take out ground-in dirt stains at the entry area I thought would not come out. They used heavy duty commercial steam cleaning equipment pumped from a truck outside. JP came on time, on schedule, and finished in about 40 minutes. The carpet looked brand new after the cleaning!

Service was extremely responsive. I called room sizes in and made an appointment. John came right on time and did an excellant job. He gave me the Angie's discount plus did three extra stair without charge. The third small bedroom with the loose carpet was an add on for which he charged a nominal amount. John does excellant work at reasonable prices and he is extremely affable. Very highly recommended.

John is wonderful to work with. His wife Colleen handles appointments and was able to arrange a date in just a few days after my call. John arrived on time (on the early end of the time range given.) The work was done beautifully and quickly. When John learned I was going to use one sofa and loveseat in another room he and his son offered to move them for me! John superbly cleaned basement carpeting for me two years ago and I was just as happy with his work this time. I definitely recommend him.

We had some badly stained carpet. The previous carpet cleaner had actually made it worse, so we tried calling J P as a desperation measure. John came over in between two other jobs, fitting us in the very next day. He arrived at 1:32 PM, having said he would be between 1:30 and 2:00. You don't get much more punctual than that. Then he didn't want to give an estimate, since he wasn't sure he would be able to help us. He said, let me try it and if I can't help you, you won't pay anything. He then proceeded to steam clean the stains, using a special wool detergent and the hot water pressure machine from his truck, after which he wasn't happy yet, so he sprinkled an enzyme cleaner on and swept it in with a broom, before steam cleaning it again. Nearly all of the stains came out, which frankly was a surprise. This guy is one of those rare cases of someone who takes pride in his work and knows what he is doing. Very nice as well. Finally, he tried to leave without taking any money, saying, just call me next time instead of calling someone else first. We had to push him to accept $150, which was everyone else's minimum charge.

Went well, JP was prompt and thorough (and these furniture items were definitely in need of some cleaning). Very satisfied with the quality and price.

There were some problems with scheduling (twice they were a no-show) but these people are so nice that I can't possibly stay upset with them. Mistakes happen. (I got confused with another customer.) They were extremely apologetic and compensated me for the problem. What's important is that when John did get here he was professional, friendly, and did a superb job. Last year he found my leather gloves. This year a knitting needle.

Although there was a slight snag in scheduling, they were prompt in arriving on the day and time agreed to. John does meticulous work and let us know when there was a stain we couldn't remove. All general cleaning and spot removal was very well done. I like the fact that the owner of the company is the man on the job, with his reputation at stake he makes every effort to have a satisfied customer. And we were very satisfied.

This was my first experience using a service on Angie's List, and I was very satisfied. I used another company years ago and it charged a much higher fee. Even the estimate I was given by JP Carpet Cleaning was higher than the cost turned out to be. The company responded to my email within two days and the appointment was set up for the following Monday. Very prompt service. The cleaner also helped me move a sofa so that the Oriental could be cleaned. I certainly plan to use JP Carpet Cleaning again in about a year's time, when--according to the cleaner's recommendation--I should have my carpets cleaned again.

Colleen, his wife, was very responsive on the phone- I guess she handles all the appointments. I even told her that I don't know if it's worth his while to come out because I didn't know what the stains were from (new purchase) and I had thought that it as so bad that I needed to replace the carpet altogether. She told me not to worry, JP would come and tell me honestly if its not going to be worth it to clean. And he did! Very friendly guy, arrived right on time. He told me that he could only get 60% of the stains out - and asked if I still wanted to go through. I figured I would give it a shot.It came out GREAT! No need to replace the carpet. He's coming back to do more work for me and he said he'll do touchups for free on his way back.

We called J. P. Carpet to do another job for us. One of our dogs chewed up a bloody, bloated tick and left a mess on one of the carpets J.P. had recently cleaned for us. As before, John arrived exactly on time, and immediately and professionally took care of the problem. He then went around the house doing some small touch-ups for us. In the end, he just wanted to charge us gas money for the job. We couldn't accept that and paid him a more reasonable sum for his work. J. P. Carpet Cleaning has the highest recommendation we can give. He is by far the best we have seen in the business in our seven plus decades of living.

He came on time, both John and his wife (who handles the administrative side) were very nice. He was very informative, explaining how everything worked throughout the process. I was impressed with his competence.

John arrived right on schedule, went immediately to work and the result was almost miraculous. We were very pleased with his professionalism and with his work ethic. We would (and will) use him again when we have further needs. He comes with a high recommendation from us.

Initial call to John's wife was very professional and pleasant and she was able to schedule the work at our convenience within about 10 days. John came on time and everything about the experience was equally professional and pleasant. There was one room that I hadn't committed to having done until he had a chance to see it and John assured me that it would be worth doing, which it was. There were a couple of high traffic areas as well as other problematic spots (forced hot air heating system duct exhaust), which he paid particular attention to and they all cleaned up very well. The experience made us wonder why we waited so long to have it done!

John's wife (?) took the order by phone, and provided an immediate confirmation of time that fit my schedule. She also was enable to offer pricing over the phone. John arrived on time, and quickly got to work (making sure his hoses did not damage my walls). I felt comfortable leaving him in the house alone for a while. He made sure to point out tough stains before he worked on them so that I could appreciate that they might not come out. He offered all sorts of discounts (volume, size of floor/couch, etc.), but I still felt he was a bit expensive (i.e., his prices may start out a bit high). But then again, $600 for 4 hours work may not be unreasonable. Our carpets had 2-3 years' dirt in them, and I have to say that my family has been very pleased with how nice our house now looks! ("Why don't we do this every year?")

I called and got an appointment within a few days, along with a realistic assessment of the likely result given the age/condition of the upholstery (which i really appreciated!). John arrived (on time), assessed the situation and told me that I could actually get better results on the cushions if we took them off and washed them myself, which I proceeded to do. He then steam cleaned the body of the sofa and did a great job, quick, efficient and actually looking better then I thought it would! Also, the advice about the cushions went along with a significant reduction in the cost, which really impressed me.

Because of my location (in Boston) parking was a concern. They scheduled for a time when parking would be easiest. They were on-time, and very professional. A really good experience.
