Handyman Fran

I hired him to also do some minor plumbing work but it turned out to be more substantial than he was qualified to do. I thought he was pretty inexpensive and it was a positive experience. I appreciated his honesty about what he couldn’t do and I like that he kept the appointment short and sweet. He was professional and friendly but he was also quick.

Fran came to install a screen door for me. He was kind enough to pickup the door, however, he did get annoyed with me when I tried to give him my home phone beforehand to pick it up and of course when he got there, he gave them my cell number and they ended up having to call me from the store. He also forgot some things we had talked about and blamed it on me, like he said to let him know which way I wanted the door to open so when i tried to tell him that morning by phone, he got annoyed about that. I couldn't believe how he was getting annoyed with me on the phone and the way he was talking to me while I was at work. Also, he forgot that he said he would repair the trim around the door and so he didn't do that. Now, I have been trying to reschedule to have him do this and one more repair and he doesn't even call me back. I have used him at least twice before this and he seemed friendly and responsive but I don't know what is going on with him now except that he really has the attitude now about asking to have things done. I guess he has so many customers that he doesn't need my business or something. He lives so close by so it has been convenient but I can't even reach him. I am really upset about this because I need a reliable handyman.

I called Fran to make an appointment. He called back quickly and we scheduled a date for service. I had bought the wrong door for him to install, and he was super helpful and patient with me! He helped me return the door and order a custom size. He really went out of his way to be helpful. He installed a wall cabinet in the bathroom. I didn't have all the necessary hardware, so he determined what i needed. Again, he went out of his way to help me and actually picked up the hardware for me. Super professional, respectful and patient with me the entire time.

He did a really good job and I would recommend him to others.

I didn't have any idea of what he was doing. He was very personable. It wasn’t complicated. The price was reasonable. The quality of his work was fine. He was very responsive. I don’t know whether he does more complex things well or not so well, but he certainly did this well. We will try him again the next time we have something like this.

He looked at the caulking job and other work we wanted done. He did the job, we paid him, and he said he would call about doing the other work, but he has not done so yet.

Overall very well. I called his home number, he called me back within one day. I described what I wanted him to do over the phone. We set up an appointment for a few days later. He came to my house, checked out the projects. I went to the hardware store for some supplies. He would have done that, but it saved me some $ for me to do it myself, plus I could pick out color/style of doorknob that I needed. He worked at the house without taking any breaks for a few hours. I paid him cash and he left. I called again a week later with some new projects and he came again. Easy.

Fran is great. I have used him for years to put in and take out the air conditioners and to take them to/from basement. I had never used him to prune trees, but it wasn't a big enough job for the cost of a tree service, and just needed dexterity and strength (using a big pole pruner. He spent 1.5 hours (including the h/w store trip) and did everything well. I will keep using him. I highly recommend him.

Very good for what we had to have done.

Fran responded promptly to my phone call. We hired him to rewire and install some new lighting fixtures, hang curtain rods and towel bars. He was great and we'd use him again

Never called me back after I left 2 messages. So disappointed.

He is very responsible and clear about what he is able to do and not do. He came with his power washer to do work, but suggested that he should come back in June to did it instead of now. We really appreciate his honesty.

he called right away was here right away to look at what I needed done. Very nice and helpful man and gave good advice. He also helped move furniture. I will be using him again when I have more things to do. I was very Happy he did a great job.

Door between the house and the garage got kicked in (like in the movie). Fran was able to repair the damage in relatively short period of time and the repair job was well done!

He was good, we liked him. He really worked with what we had and tried to save us money. He gave us advice about other things as well. We ended up not having to buy new screen doors, which was great.
