Handyman Fran

He is excellent each time. He knows what he is doing, is moderately priced, and is always on time. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

It went very well. Fran came the day after our call. He immediately appreciated what I did not: the metal insert which attached to, and closed, the metal window frame didn't engage its setting. To effect closure, Fran had to file the housing enough to permit the insert to engage. This was tricky, because a false step could easily break the window. But there were no false steps. Fran did it on the first try, The window stayed shut, and there were no cold-related consequences---such as a broken pipe. I then mentioned to Fran that several fluorescent lights were dim. He inspected and said it was likely a problem with the bulbs rather than the light fixture itself. I can't change the bulbs myself. Next morning Fran was there with extra light tubes for two outlets. He climbed up to remove the old bulbs and replace with new, providing instant brightness and cheer. We've been working with Fran for at least 4-5 years now. He has always provided excellent service at a reasonable price. His advice has always been "spot on" He did some excellent exterior carpentry and painting for us a few years back. Fran is our "go-to" guy now! We wouldn't use anyone else. Highly recommended!

Fran did a great job. Returned my initial call right away, come out to look at the job, gave me estimate, set up a date, confirmed the day before. We’re pretty handy, but if there is something I can’t do or don’t have the time, I’ll call him again for sure.

As always, Handyman Fran (originally contacted through Angie's list) did a great job at an extraordinarily reasonable price. Our front door wouldn't close. I called Fran. He responded promptly (as he always does). I described the problem, and my concerns. He made a provisional diagnosis "torn metal weatherstripping) over the phone. I asked how soon he could come. He replied "within the hour". I couldn't believe it! In 30 minutes Fran was there, and confirmed his diagnosis. He made the repair (off with the old weatherstripping, on with the new) in about an hour. While he was there, I thought I'f ask him about two more "handyman" items. He said, "Sire." So he made a modification of an air conditioning duct opening, and he raised a crib mattress frame to to accommodate our new grandson. All this at an extraordinarily reasonable price. Handyman Fran is a truly skilled craftsman, and a fine person. We are delighted to count him as an established member of our family of "home helpers" and look forward to working with him for many years to come. He has our very highest recommendation.

A delight to work with. Had many old windows with broken ropes. He arrived on time and made recommendations on best approach to project and efficiently completed job. Definitely will hire again (have also used in the past.

Handyman Fran did a fabulous job re=grouting our tub - it looks great! He was prompt courteous, friendly and very skilled. The job required taking off the old grout, dealing with some mold, and then re-grouting. We have already hired Handyman Fran to re-paint our bulkhead and I know I will hire him for other jobs.

It took longer than he expected but otherwise very well. There was a problem with the caulk in one area after we began to use the shower again but Fran came back right away and re did it and so far (about a week and a half) there's been no problem.

Fran repaired my faucet quickly and showed me how to perform the repair myself, which I greatly appreciated. I had planned on having the dryer vent looked at, but because I had him for the hour, he went right to work on it. He's capable, works fast and is pleasant to do business with.

It went very well. Fran works quickly and efficiently. He is vey knowledgeable and personable. I needed more LED floods. He told me Home Depot had them now for a reasonable price. Good to know. I bought the ones I had from the State at reduced price. Fran called me later in the day to tell me the local Home Depot had the LEDs for $12 for a six pack of the size I needed. He even told me where specifically they were in the store. Now that is good service.

Very well. I particularly appreciate his willingness to say what he cannot do and how well he does what he says he can do.

Everything went smoothly, no problems. For the electrical work, he referred me to an electrician he knew.

Fran did a good job and very reasonable price. He didn't have all the supplies so I did have to go and buy some of the things (e.g., certain type of screws, etc.). I gave a long list of things I needed done and he worked through the list. He didn't finish in one day but was great about following up to arrange another day to come and finish the work.

Very well. He arrived on time, went over everything I wanted done with me, suggested some other things he could also do without changing the price, told me what would be done that day and when he would come back. Did a very good job.

Fran was very conscientious about making an appointment, responded in a timely way, and did excellent work on several small jobs in our house.

Fran stripped and recaulked our Master bedroom bathtub and tiles. We had two colors of caulking to match the trim on our bathtub tiled walls. The work looks great, and Fran came back two days later to touch up a section of caulking that didn't dry perfectly. We will definitely hire him again for small jobs around our home.

Did an excellent job quickly and efficiently. Figured out how to do what was needed without having to make too big and expensive a job out of it. Door closes properly, locks work, just what I wanted.
